BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Insurgents launched a brazen coordinated attack on a U.S. combat post Monday, sending in a suicide bomber and clashing with American troops. Two U.S. soldiers were killed and 17 wounded, the military said. The assault began with a suicide bomber exploding a vehicle outside the base north of Baghdad, said the military statement. It gave no further details beyond the number of dead and wounded.

WASHINGTON — Usama bin Laden and his No. 2 man, Ayman al Zawahiri, are rebuilding the Al Qaeda terror group along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, but the bases are smaller and lieutenants are less experienced, a U.S. official said Monday. The American official was confirming a story reported in Monday’s New York Times that said a band of training camps has popped up in Pakistan along the Afghan border and the leadership chain of command has been re-established despite an “erosion” of leadership after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

If WE know about it, and the MSM knows about it, WHY aren’t we bombing the living crap out of these sites?? I wonder if ‘The Little Prince’ can answer that?? Is allowing al-Qaeda to rebuild a less important task on Mr. Bush’s list of things to do?? I’m more inclined to think it is making them desperate…..butthen again, they already were. It called way down the last few weeks. And the “surge” hasn’t even taken effect as of yet.
On the camps, I agree, they should have ceased to exist before the ink was dry on the newspaper.

Frankly, I think we’ve been lied to again, didn’t Bush say that we would pursue terrorists ANYWHERE they tried to hide?? Anywhere they took refuge??
