WASHINGTON - Senior aides to the chairman of the military Joint Chiefs of Staff said Tuesday that Marine Gen. Peter Pace won’t apologize for calling homosexuality immoral — an opinion that gay advocacy groups deplored.

In a newspaper interview Monday, Pace had likened homosexual acts to adultery and said the military should not condone it by allowing gays to serve openly in the armed forces.

“General Pace’s comments are outrageous, insensitive and disrespectful to the 65,000 lesbian and gay troops now serving in our armed forces,” the advocacy group Servicemembers Legal Defense Network said in a statement on its Web site.

The group has represented some of the thousands dismissed from the military for their sexual orientation.

Pace’s senior staff members said Tuesday that the general was expressing his personal opinion and did not intend to apologize. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not allowed to speak on the record.

What part of ‘homosexuality is wrong’ are these people missing?? It’s a totally un-natural act, it’s condemned in the Bible, Leviticus 18:22 , it’s not acceptable to most Christian religions and in Islam it is an act that is punishable by death, one of the few laws of Islam I can totally agree with…

I guess Gen. Pace is a REAL Conservative, and that’s a good thing, we need MANY more Americans to take this stance and to take America back to the days when we could be proud of our views and the actions of our nation, back to a time when a kid could say a prayer at school and not be expelled for doing so, back to a time when marriage was a blessed union between a man and a woman and anyone that doesn’t have the guts to stand up for these things doesn’t have the right to claim the title Conservative or Christian…

I’m not a big ‘Bible thumper’, not by a long shot, but I know what the word of God is, even though I don’t always follow it as I should, but when some main stream religions not only accept homosexuals into their churches, but ordain them as ministers, well, that’s as bad as the church of Rome knowing that they’re there and then spending millions of dollars to hide them, move them to other churches, shuffle the deck and pay off the victims of these perverts, all the while some homosexual priests continue to molest boys, and in the process, effectively destroy the kid being molested, you see, when you’re raised to have ultimate respect for a religious figure, a priest, and them said figure attempts a molestation, a homosexual molestation, it has a tendency to seriously scramble your psyche…

Yes, I am proud of Gen. Pace for having the guts to make his statement, and I support him 100% for doing so, and look at the bright side, he didn’t call em faggots and queers, and if these advocacy groups think I’m going to apologize for MY views, well, ya better check to see if hell has frozen over…
