I believe the world has gone MAD

I believe the world has gone MAD

Here are a few examples pulled from the headlines today, with a short commentary on each story, BUT, the big comment is reserved until the end of this post, and it’s going to anger more than a few readers. GOOD!

Australia police calm unrest at immigration center

SYDNEY (AP) – Australian police used pepper spray to quell an overnight protest at an offshore detention center that has been the scene of unrest in the past, officials said Friday.

Protests frequently erupt at the overcrowded Christmas Island center, where Australia processes asylum seekers who have often fled poverty and war in the Middle East or Asia. In March, more than 200 detainees demanding visas set fire to buildings and tried to escape from the center. Police also responded to that demonstration. SOURCE

That’s a bunch of people you really want to issue a visa to, demanding destructionists that riot and burn when they don’t get their way…

32 dead in Syrian crackdown and assault on north

BEIRUT (AP) - Syrian forces shelled a town in the country’s restive north and opened fire on scattered protests nationwide, killing at least 32 people on Friday, activists said. Hundreds of Syrians streamed across the border into Turkey, trying to escape the violence.

A Syrian opposition figure told The Associated Press by telephone that thousands of protesters overwhelmed security officers and torched the courthouse and police station in the northern town of Maaret al-Numan, and the army responded with tank shells. The man spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter. SOURCE

If you can’t kill your own people, just WHO can you kill? That’s how THEY look at it, and it is, after all, their nation. I still see this as Muslims killing Muslims, and I just can’t get upset over it.

Syrian activists release new footage of dead teen

BEIRUT (AP) - Syrian activists on Thursday released footage of the body of a 15-year-old boy they said was tortured by security forces, nearly a week after anti-government protesters galvanized by another teen’s death turned out by the thousands.

The dead boy, Tamer Mohammed al-Sharei, disappeared in Daraa on April 29, the same day and in the same restive area as the other young teen, Hamza al-Khatib. Video of Hamza’s mutilated body turned him into a symbol of the revolt against President Bashar Assad, driving thousands to rally last Friday against the government. SOURCE

Again, Muslims messing up Muslims, looks like a Win-Win to me.

Yemen protesters demand wounded leader’s ouster

SANAA, Yemen (AP) – Nearly 100,000 Yemenis protested Friday in a main square of the capital, demanding the president’s ouster in the biggest rally since Ali Abdullah Saleh left for Saudi Arabia after he was wounded in an attack on his palace.

Saleh’s evacuation for medical treatment has thrown Yemen into a dangerous political standoff, with opponents insisting he now be pushed completely out of power and his allies seeking to preserve his rule. Saleh was wounded in a blast that hit a mosque where he was praying in his presidential palace on June 3. Badly burned, Saleh was rushed to Saudi Arabia for treatment along with a number of top officials from his regime who also were wounded in the blast. SOURCE

Now before a bunch of *bleeding hearts* start talking about Syrian democracy and the *toasted* Syrian leader, remember this, as soon as their rage against HIM subsides, their rage against US returns.

Vietnam plans live-fire drills Monday

HANOI, Vietnam, June 10 (UPI) — Vietnamese military officials say they will conduct live-fire exercises in the South China Sea despite tensions with China over disputed waters.

Vietnam warned boats to stay clear of the area off the coast of central Quang Nam province Monday, when the drills are scheduled, the BBC reported. SOURCE

Vietnam is going to piss off China? Well, OK, just don’t expect the USA to go running in and save the day. We already have 4 serious engagements taking place, one more and we have WWIII in the making.

Joplin toll rises to 151; some suffer from fungus

JOPLIN, Mo. (AP) – The death toll from the tornado that destroyed much of Joplin has risen to 151, and three of the latest victims suffered from a rare fungal infection that can occur when dirt becomes embedded under the skin, authorities said Friday.

Jasper County Coroner Rob Chappel said the three had been hospitalized with the unusually aggressive infection sometimes found in survivors of other natural disasters. He said it was difficult to identify the fungus as a cause of death since the people infected also suffered other severe injuries. SOURCE

Didn’t Obama make a load of promises about this was an American tragedy? Didn’t he vow to get the U.S. government fully involved?

Well, he brought the folks of Joplin, Tuscaloosa and Birmingham a LOAD, but it wasn’t a load of what they needed.

Remember the story of Nero? How he *fiddled* as Rome burned? Well, modern day similarities point to Obama and a 9 iron. He golfs while America burns.

Our economy is in the tank, jobs are nearly nonexistent, stocks and investments lose money on a daily basis, interest rates for money held in banking institutions is so low it’s nearly nonexistent, and what are the BIG stories of the day? What are the news organizations, and many thought to be Conservative bloggers going on and on about?

It seems that Anthony Weiner tops the list at the moment, and according to some, his seat is safe, apparently his constituency is as big a bunch of no-class perverts as is Weiner himself. Poll backs Weiner vow not to quit.

The other BIG story of the day? Alaska releases Sarah Palin’s emails. Yeah, her emails, and people are paying money, spending time and energy to pour over them hoping to find that gem, that one little tidbit that proves to the world that Sarah Palin is as dumb as a bag of hammers.

WAKE THE HELL UP AMERICA! The media is useless, Conservative bloggers are the last best hope this nation has. Don’t you think we could find something more relevant to write about that Weiner’s wiener, Sarah Palin’s emails, or, just for you May, whether or not Rick Perry is a Global One World Bilderberg conspiracy person?

You missed at least one … THE UN/Obama Gun issue…. But I get your point..

One thing us conservative bloggers tend to do is rehash. You go to one blog and it’s pretty much the same “Big story” with a commentary that’s very close. Wiener offered some very funny post titles, and some very funny commentary all around. BUT there was a serious part of the issue regarding lying, deflecting blaming.. basically LIBERAL TRAIT….

Palins emails? WOW, they are stretching for story’s. This particular issue is “Payback” they are looking for the “Anti-Wiener” story. I’d have thought they’d pick someone with a little more pull personally.

Yep folks need to wake up. But us conservative bloggers are at least standing up. Regardless of what we choose to post, MOST of us are standing up for what’s right. What we need is some unification on some issues, with less infighting over the little shit. We have major issues in this country thanks to the idiots WE put in office over the last 20 years.

Yep…. Angry and it’s going to get far worse as this election closes in on completion.

You do have a knack for putting your finger on the real issues. And, yes, everybody is looking for some diversion from the really ugly news and Weiner is providing it. As for Palin, it is just further proof of how utterly crazed the media/liberals are about this woman. Right now, however, what I know about Rick Perry could fit neatly in a bug’s ear. If he’s from Texas, he’s okay with me!

Rob — The UN is a touchy topic here in Rowlett right now..

You do remember that moonbat Babs Millward?? Do you remember her accusations that the Rowlett Community Charrette was a UN plot to take over the world, or something like that…

We had to change the secret handshake because of her telling the world that we were a big CONSPIRACY… It was 2 tugs and a pull, then it was 2 pulls and a tug and now even our fearless leader is confused, he thinks it’s a pull, a tug and a pull… 😕

I think he’s seen too many Anthony Weiner stories… 😈

  4. Ron Miller says:

First, Rep “Weenie” is a moron. Why is that news? I have never known him to be anything but a moron……….well, for a while he was an idiot.

The main story about Sarah Palin is the New York Times and the Washington Post. Both have asked their subscribers to help them find dirt on Palin by scrutinizing the 25,000 emails. The two newspapers don’t have enough staff to do it all themselves. This is clearly an announcement that both papers are pawns of the Democratic Party. Why do they even pretend to be originators of untampered news? Does George Soros own controlling interest in each of these papers? I think it’s okay to drop the word “news” off the name. Actually, it’s probably okay to drop the names New York Times and Washington Post off the lists of “newspapers.” We could probably list them on the DNC interoffice memos.

These two papers have trounced any ethics courses that journalism schools ever professed to have. I haven’t seen a TV newscaster since Chet Huntley. I gave up on most print journalists many years ago. I reckon I’m going to have to rely of TexasFred for events of the world.

  5. Always On Watch says:

    Fred,
You’re right. Too many Americans are distracted by insignificant “news stories.”

Diversion is one of the tactics used by tyrants.

What is it going to take for Americans to see what Obama is and deal with him?

I do fear that he’s going to win re-election in 2012. I also fear the the GOP is going to run Mitt Romney.

  6. sdkar says:

It seems one of our biggest problems is that the media is NOT doing their job. There are more liberal media outlets that put their spin on news stories or just plain don’t report on the stories that the public needs to be made aware of. I think the conservatives have a good presence on the internet, but not with the newspapers and television. Fox is trying, but they can only do so much. With newspapers slowly dying and can be purchased for a song, why don’t some rich conservatives buy up a few and start investigating and reporting the way they used to? No matter how big the internet becomes, there are still way too many people that want a hard copy, in their hands news media. Hell, with the financial trouble the NY times is in, can’t conservatives buy up controlling shares and start printing the news and demanding answers and holding those accountable? It sure would be nice to have a few more news sources other than FOX reporting the stories that the libs and dems don’t want the people to learn about.

    Just a thought.

  7. GM Roper says:

A.O.W., I’m no fan of the Mittster, but he’d be better than Obama hands down. Course, I could say the same for my dog catcher and the septic tank cleaner too.

  8. GM Roper says:

Why even Bubba (Ask Fred) would be a superior prez than Obummer.

  9. mrchuck says:

Mark Levin on WBAP 820 said it best this evening when he quoted the labor statistics reported that 58% of black adult men, 18 thru 40, are unemployed !!!!!

What this means is more robberies, thefts, break-ins, car jackings, injuries and deaths for the white people. Black upon white crime. All the law enforcement agencies have this info, and are really edgy.
These god-damned blacks couldn’t pass high school to get a diploma, instead raised in ghetto style, and speak ebonics, and are nothing more than apes walking the streets yelling we be held down by the whites.
I guess that you have noticed that “jesse jackson, al sharpton, et al, have all been quiet.
The reason is that they feel the vibes first hand, even before us “crackers”.

So, be aware and ready for the oncoming rage riots of blacks on whites.
The mexicans, don’t worry as they always stay on the sidelines to mop up and steal what they can from the dead and dying blacks and whites.

Believe it, It’s here and raging, and a hot summer will light it off!!!!!

  10. TexasFred says:

Mr. Chuck — Look at the bright side, that 58% gives ornery old farts like us ample opportunity to keep our shooting skills sharp… 😈

  11. Bloviating Zeppelin says:

    It’s a funny thing. . .

Yes, I believe the world has indeed gone mad.

That said, I submit that any story that has one or more Muslims killing more Muslims is a story with a happy ending. I’d care to, rather, suggest that MORE stories like that should be. In terms of NON-fiction.

And yes, I would agree with Robert that some Conservative blogs tend to mirror each other. With a few exceptions.

I proffer you as one of those exceptions. I submit that you’ve found an archetype that works. And I try, as much as I can, to not trot out the most common posts due that individual day. Or if I decide to, to provide a different slant.

    That’s why you are successful.

Didn’t that Joplin fungus start appearing right after the visit of the Socialist-In-Chief?

  13. minuteman26 says:

If Obama wins reelection it will be take out time. Time to take out Obama and his minions.

  14. BobF says:

The news media is worried about Palin’s emails, her recollection of Paul Reveres ride, and Antony’s wiener. All the while Obama is circumventing Congress, violating Federal Court Rulings, suing States for trying to uphold the laws of this nation, and disregarding the Constitution of the United States.

  15. Doc Roy says:

Fred, as usual you’re spot on. Add a couple more on the pile: Obamas signing of two environmental restrictions on coal-fired powered power plants and a HR1249 having to do with “reform of the Patent System”. The environmental restrictions on power plants will destroy the coal industry and close power plants with the loss of thousands of jobs and loss of sorely needed electrical power. As the Boma sez, electrical power costs will “skyrocket”. Go figure. HR1249 will destroy the Patent system as we know it. The Patent System is an early constitutional item so unique to this country and set by our founders and this bill will destroy another part of our constitution. Yes, Fred, every day the madness deepens.
