Wright says criticism is attack on black church

April 28th, 2008 . by TexasFred

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Rev. Jeremiah Wright says criticism surrounding his fiery sermons is an attack on the black church.

Barack Obama’s longtime pastor says he hopes the controversy will have a positive outcome and spark an honest dialogue about race in America. Wright says black church traditions are still “invisible” to many Americans, as they have been throughout the country’s history.

Wright spoke at the National Press Club Monday morning before the Washington press corps and a supportive audience of black church leaders beginning a two-day symposium.

He said the black church tradition is not bombastic or controversial, but different and misunderstood by the “dominant culture” in the United States.

Wright says criticism is attack on black church

He was misunderstood?? What he said wasn’t bombastic?? What he said wasn’t controversial?? It was just different and misunderstood??

I don’t know about you, but what I heard was The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing ‘God Bless America.’ No, no, no, God Damn America! and for those of you that won’t accept a report from the AP or ABC News as truth, here’s an even more scathing report from World Net Daily, Not God bless, but God d— America!

This is Barack Hussein Obama’s preacher and spiritual adviser, his pastor for over 20 years, this is the rhetoric that Obama has heard, and regardless of what he says, apparently he approved of it, he would have ended his association with Wright long before the 20 years or so had past otherwise…

Wright doesn’t want honest debate about racial problems in America, he wants to stir up hate and discontent, and that’s exactly what he has done, but on the bright side, he’s also given us a DEEP look at Obama’s beliefs as well, Obama did NOT come out and condemn this man for his words, and in my opinion, a lack of condemnation for those words translates into an approval of them…

Obama wants to become the president of this nation, and he has many supporters, but not all of those supporters are Americans, some are Muslim terrorists, Hamas Endorses Obama, so, you have got to ask yourself, WHY would Hamas support Barack Hussein Obama??

I think the answer is obvious, he is one of them, as one of my good friends calls him, he is a “Stealth Muzzie” and he is, in my opinion, the real life version of The Manchurian Candidate

Obama is wrong for America, he has no business leading this nation, he has, in MY opinion, no business being a Senator, but him holding that office is the direct responsibility of the citizens of Illinois and it’s their responsibility to remove him from that position…

It’s our job to keep this person OUT of the White House, it’s our job to stop this nightmare from happening and to save this nation from suffering through what I feel will be a direct move to Islamic control of this nation if Barack Hussein Obama were to be elected president…

Real Americans must unite in this effort, even if Hillary Clinton and John McCain aren’t the perfect choices for president, I don’t believe that either of them would give this nation away to Islam, I fear that Obama is waiting to do exactly that, with his Rev. Wright at his side as he does indeed cause God to DAMN America…

Well Fred the Good Rev was speaking at the NAACP…. I don’t think he was going to stand up there and say Whitey is good.
I got a kick out of his “I have been marching for Jesus” part of his speech. If he was walking with Jesus He would be carrying the whip on the way to the crucifixion.

There are very few folks I can’t stand… ok I’m lying there are a lot of folks I can’t stand, the Rev and Obama are just under Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson topping the list.

Obama will be president, our voting public is too damn stupid to stop it.

We have to remember the only reason Obama got elected to the US Senate is because some liberal judge ordered the release of the divorce proceedings of Jack and Jeri Ryan. Their were things in these private records that were embarrassing to Jack Ryan and him and Jeri fought to keep them from being released. From what I understand Jack Ryan was favored to win the election until his private records were released. I would bet that if Obama because President, the judge who violated the Ryans privacy will be appointed to the Federal Bench.

Can you believe that Ryan divorced THIS??

    What a dumbass:

In 1990, while dealing blackjack at a charity event, Jeri met investment banker and future political candidate Jack Ryan. The couple married on June 15, 1991 and had a son, Alex, on August 15, 1994. Throughout the marriage, Ryan and her husband took turns commuting between Los Angeles and Chicago for their careers, but finally divorced on August 27, 1999. Although Ryan mentioned (in an interview for Star Trek) that the frequent separations had been difficult for the marriage, the reasons for the divorce were kept sealed at their mutual request.
