US Rep. Ron Paul of Texas to retire from Congress

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - U.S. Rep. Ron Paul said Tuesday he will concentrate on running for president and will not seek re-election to Congress, ending a 24-year career as one of the more colorful members of the House of Representatives.

The 75-year-old Republican said he will serve out his term through December 2012, whether his presidential campaign is successful or not. He told The Associated Press he has been criticized for running for Congress while seeking the presidency in the past.

Paul said the growing support for his 2012 presidential bid convinced him he should not divide his energies. He won a straw poll at the Republican Leadership Conference held in New Orleans last month.

“I think that you have more credibility if you run for only one office at a time,” Paul said. He acknowledged that he may miss some House votes because of the presidential campaign, but that his staff would continue to provide constituent services.

I can just hear Libertarian TEA Party hearts breaking all over Texas, but, if a certain moonbat Libertarian TEA Party *leader*, whatever, a TEA Party something or the other right here in Rowlett is still looking for work, well, here ya go, a shot at greatness.

You can run to replace your heart-throb and life pattern.

As for the issues he feels passionately about, including U.S. foreign and economic policy, he said he will continue to fight for those either as president or from outside government.

I will give the Devil his due, if you can keep Ron Paul on track and talking about MONEY, and the need to audit The Fed, he truly is a brilliant man, but if the topic strays to anything other than money, to oh, I don’t know, like foreign policy or government in it’s day to day actions maybe, Ron Paul is a MORON and wouldn’t know which side was up.

Ron Paul is a total isolationist in my opinion, and that’s not a good thing. While I DO believe that the USA needs to take care of the USA first and foremost, I also know that we can’t totally shut out the rest of the world. Our national security and our very survival dictates so.

Ron Paul is not a strong supporter of the U.S. military, and there’s not a Conservative that I know that would tolerate him in that department.

It has long been rumored that Ron Paul is an anti-Semite and a racist. I don’t know about the anti-Semite part, perhaps some of my Jewish friends and readers can offer a bit of information on that topic, but I have often heard it said, “You’re known by the company you keep.”

I don’t want to make too much out of it, but they say a picture is worth 1,000 words.

For those that don’t know, that’s a picture of Ron Paul, Don Black and Black’s son, Derek all hanging out together a while back.

Who is Don Black you ask?

Stephen Donald Black (born July 28, 1953) is an American white nationalist. He is the founder, and current webmaster, of the Stormfront internet forum. He was a Grand Wizard in the Ku Klux Klan and a member of the American Nazi Party in the 1970s. He was convicted in 1981 for attempted armed overthrow of the Dominican government in violation of the U.S. Neutrality Act. SOURCE

Do we really want or need a POTUS that’s an anti-Semite racist in the White House? Oh, wait, we already have one, Obama, and it’s reverse racism, my bad! :P

The leader of the Republican Caucus in the Texas Legislature, state Rep. Larry Taylor, said Paul’s retirement offers a “rare opportunity” for someone new to take the seat.

“I have received encouragement from conservative leaders across Texas this afternoon,” Taylor said. “It is an opportunity that I will consider very seriously in the coming weeks.”

Conservative leaders know, Ron Paul is a joke and an embarrassment to most Texans.

Paul said that he was disappointed in how his district was redrawn by the Texas Legislature following the 2010 census. His new district is less heavily Republican.

Suck it up Congressman, a lot of folks aren’t happy about the way the lines were drawn,  you weren’t representing Republicans anyway, not in YOUR little part of Moonbat, Texas, but you sure have a herd of Paultards!

Don’t let the doorknob hit you in the ass on the way out!

I will admit he has a big set of balls for what he takes stands for. He is your typical flake job libertarian. Maybe his district can get a true blood conservative elected and do them some, & us, some good.
