Trayvon Inc: Fla teen’s case turns into brand

MIAMI (AP) - From the T-shirt and hoodie sales to trademarking slogans like “Justice for Trayvon” to the pass-the-hat rallies that bring in thousands, the case of an unarmed black teenager killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer is quickly turning into an Internet-fueled brand.

Websites are hawking key chains bearing Trayvon Martin’s likeness. His parents have bought two trademarks, saying they hope to raise money to help other families struck by tragedy. Trayvon clothes, bumper stickers, buttons and posters are up for grabs on eBay.

Vendors selling Martin T-shirts and hoodies have become fixtures at rallies in Sanford, the central Florida town where Martin was shot last month. At one Sanford rally this week, a man had a variety of T-shirts laid out on the ground as marchers went by, yelling out, “I’ve got every size!”

Because NOTHING says ‘I LOVE MY SON‘ like the commercialization of his death and the race baiters that are pushing it!

One thing that HAS crossed my mind; I assumed that most of these Trayvon supporters were Democrats, Occupy people and the like. Perhaps I was wrong, there seems to be a lot of them that are trying to hit the 1% thing.

Have yet to hear anyone say that if Trayvon’s parents had raised him to be a responsible human being that he would still be alive today. That fact that his mother is so quick to trademark his name says it all. Blacks as a whole do have an image problem that sure as hell won’t be improved upon anytime soon. They have helped to fan the fires of racism even more by the way this situation is being handled by their community.

Put the scope cross hairs on the nose.

  3. Bloviating Zeppelin says:

There you go. Dark melanin in a hoodie.

Portray the hoodie. Minimize the melanin.

This is so sour. It is so incredibly whorish. I couldn’t possibly envision this, with the exception that blacks seem to make a profit upon a small teen’s death.

The facts are not yet in.

    The Poverty and Racial Pimps weigh in;

    That’s all you need.

Don’t they have a more appropriate picture? Maybe one from kindergarten or an infant pic? The pre-pubescent photo isn’t garnering enough outrage.

You know they have to get it while the gettins good!!! Glorify the thug image so it is more accepted in our rapidly declining society!!!! And Nero played on!!!

  6. BobF says:

His mom trademarked his name. Nothing like pimping off your dead son’s name.

  7. Bunkerville says:

Watching that Marxist Black Panther Congressman getting kicked off the House floor wearing his hoodie said it all. The decline of a once great civilization the book will read.

  8. mrchuck says:

One of these days, coming to your neighborhood, will be “drive by” gangs wearing hoodies, and shooting at you.

I hope they pick a Korean neighborhood first.

  9. Katie says:

Why are we outraged at this whore’s actions? She and the father never married. She has had other children by other men (whom she never married). Her son stayed out for days at a time (and she never called the cops). And now that he is dead, all she can see is dollar signs.

Sounds like typical Ghetto behavior. Perfectly acceptable.
