Hollande defeats Sarkozy in French presidency vote

France has elected an avowed Socialist to replace Nicolas Sarkozy. Somehow, I see France about to fall into chaos and take Europe with it. And the comparisons to what is happening in America right now is chilling.

Hollande defeats Sarkozy in French presidency vote

PARIS (AP) - Socialist Francois Hollande defeated conservative incumbent Nicolas Sarkozy on Sunday to become France’s next president, heralding a change in how Europe tackles its debt crisis and how France flexes its military and diplomatic muscle around the world.

Exuberant, diverse crowds filled the Place de la Bastille, the iconic plaza of the French Revolution, to fete Hollande’s victory, waving French, European and labor union flags and climbing its central column. Leftists are overjoyed to have one of their own in power for the first time since Socialist Francois Mitterrand was president from 1981 to 1995.

“Austerity can no longer be inevitable!” Hollande declared in his victory speech Sunday night after a surprising campaign that saw him transform from an unremarkable, mild figure to an increasingly statesmanlike one.

Sarkozy is the latest victim of a wave of voter anger at government spending cuts around Europe that have tossed out governments and leaders over the past couple of years.

For many years American pundits made fun of the French, they were called names like *surrender monkeys*, jokes were told about French Army rifles for sale, *never been fired and only dropped once* and so forth.

Then along came Nicolas Sarkozy, a Conservative Frenchman with a set of BALLS!

Talk about a sad state of affairs; many Americans were wishing that WE had a President like Nicolas Sarkozy after we got a good look at Barack Hussein Obama, an American President that can’t spell the word BALLS!

So, what happens in France? It appears that Nicolas Sarkozy was just too manly to be the President of a group of people that have been hard-core Socialists for more years than I can remember.

Now the French can once again rejoice in the gutless, resource sucking socialism that has destroyed Europe and is in the process of destroying the USA.

In Greece, a parliamentary vote Sunday is seen as critical to the country’s prospects for pulling out of a deep financial crisis felt in world markets. A state election in Germany and local elections in Italy were seen as tests of support for the national government’s policies.

Watch the stock market Monday morning, that is the best indication of how European finances and politics affect ours. I expect U.S. stocks to fall hard, I hope not, but I would not be at all surprised.

Hollande promised help for France’s downtrodden after years under the Sarkozy, a man many voters saw as too friendly with the rich and blamed for economic troubles.

And HOW is Hollande going to help the *downtrodden* of France? Why, dip off into the national treasury and give away money, tax money, the money of others, people that have worked their tails off to pay their taxes. And a 75% tax on anything over $1M won’t hurt.

That is how a Socialist helps out the *downtrodden* of ANY nation, spend that nation into oblivion and once everyone is broke, voila’, socialist heaven. Everyone is equal; broke, sick and starving, but hey, ain’t equality great?

Hollande said European partners should be relieved and not frightened by his presidency.

“I am proud to have been capable of giving people hope again,” Hollande told huge crowds of supporters in his electoral fiefdom of Tulle in central France. “We will succeed!”

“We will succeed!” … somehow makes me think of *Hope and Change* and this new one, *FORWARD*! One word, FORWARD, the new Obama slogan, has long ties to Marxism and socialism. New Obama slogan has long ties to Marxism, socialism

Hollande inherits an economy that’s a driver of the European Union but is deep in debt. He wants more government stimulus, and more government spending in general, despite concerns in the markets that France needs to urgently trim its huge debt.

C’mon, tell me Barack Hussein Obama isn’t a Socialist, try to convince me.

What this new French President says echoes the words of Obama and the Democrats; more government stimulus, and more government spending in general, despite concerns in the markets that the USA needs to urgently trim its huge debt.

I changed ONE WORD, I substituted USA for France and suddenly it’s a mirror image of what Obama and the Democrats want for us as Americans!

While some market players have worried about a Hollande presidency, Jeffrey Bergstrand, professor of finance at the University of Notre Dame, said it’s a good thing that Hollande will push for more spending throughout Europe to stimulate the economy.

Yes, indeed, because we ALL know that spending money you don’t have is the best way to get yourself out of debt.

What is it with these Socialists and Marxist morons? They seem to think people actually buy into their *free ride* spiel. Uh, wait, some actually DO buy into it … that’s how WE got Obama. :?

Sarkozy, who ran the country through its worst recession since World War II and the ensuing European debt crisis, said he did his best to win a second term, despite widespread anger at his handling of the economy.

“I bear responsibility … for the defeat,” he said. “I committed myself totally, fully, but I didn’t succeed in convincing a majority of French. … I didn’t succeed in making the values we share win.”

And he didn’t blame George W. Bush!

Seriously, what we see happening, and about to happen in France reflect in many ways what we see here in America, we have been spent into an unbelievable deficit by a Socialist that wants a 2nd term and is trying to tell us how much good he’s done for America, the French we’re in a financial *fix* that couldn’t be overcome, no matter what Sarkozy did and the French elect a SOCIALIST and believe he will deliver them to … what? A chicken in every pot?

And what do we have? The option of keeping Obama in office knowing that he will plunge this nation into full blown socialism or the option of electing Mitt Romney, and not having a clue as to what he really stands for or what he will actually do.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if we totally disagree with it. Personally, it makes me SICK to think that Mitt Romney could be the President of the United States, but I will cast my vote for him anyway, you see, as much as I detest Romney, I HATE Barack Hussein Obama even more.

Some say that they just *can’t* vote for Romney, it’s not that I can’t vote for Romney, I don’t want to, but the damned GOP has done it to us once again, the *lesser of the evils*, just like they did with RINO McCain and Northwoods Barbie. I am tired of the *lesser of the evils* being the only option we have!

If this, Romney, is the best the damned GOP can do, it’s time to put an end to the GOP and start over.

I have to say, other than the fact that he is NOT Obama, I can’t find anything good top say about Romney either. That is a sad statement regarding American politics when all you can say about the GOP candidate is *Well, he’s not Obama*…

I fear we are about to become a much larger version of France.

Socialism should be the least of France’s worries. This election played right into the hands of the Islamists. IMHO Muslims will rule the French roost within ten years. The French are fools. Waiting for their next 5th of May.

  2. Longstreet says:

There should be a bumper sticker that reads: Vote ROMNEY 2012! He’s NOT Obama!

I am of the opinion the US election in November will be a mirror reflection of the French election. The difference is — in America, we ALREADY HAVE A SOCIALIST PRESIDENT! Obama advocates robbing Peter to pay Paul and he, sure as heck, WILL get the support of Paul in November. Consider the French election. It was “Paul” casting ballots for the socialist and “Paul” will be flooding the ballot boxes in the US in November for our resident socialist, Obama.

  3. Right Truth says:

He wants to raise taxes on the “rich” to 75%. Don’t you know Obama is jealous!

  4. Patrick Sperry says:

The French just really stepped on their own collective dick. Can’t they see what is happening here, and learn from that?

Perhaps those jokes were more on than off base regarding the French.
