Republicans clash with AG on Fast and Furious
WASHINGTON (AP) - Attorney General Eric Holder clashed Thursday with congressional Republicans seeking more information about a flawed gun-trafficking investigation in Arizona.
Lawmakers at a House Judiciary Committee hearing asked Holder what he knew in advance of public disclosure of a so-called gun-walking tactic in early 2011. As part of Operation Fast and Furious, agents were told to forego immediate arrests of suspected straw purchasers of guns and instead try to track the guns to higher-ups in gun-smuggling rings. Such a tactic is normally barred under Justice Department policy.
Agents lost track of hundreds of guns which flowed south to Mexico, where many were recovered at crime scenes. Two such guns were found in the U.S. at the scene of the killing of border agent Brian Terry.
Holder told the committee he became aware of the gun-walking tactic at the same time as the public and that he found out “about the same time” that guns found at the scene of Terry’s death were part of Operation Fast and Furious.

Eric Holder, and his down-line at the DOJ, don’t need to be held in *contempt* OF Congress. I have a great deal of contempt FOR Congress, and they are, Congress that is, in most cases, quite contemptible.
Lets cut through the BS and call this like it needs to be called, Fast and Furious was a contemptible action, but Eric Holder and Company need to be charged as accessories to Capital Murder in the death of Agent Brian Terry.
Do you want to know WHY Holder is NOT already in jail? Everyone is too afraid to blast off on him because he is BLACK. That’s it, nothing more.
This entire nation dwells on Political Correctness and is afraid of being called RACIST! Well, most of the nation that is. I can take the heat, I get called a racist on an almost daily basis, and you know, I sleep quite well at night.
The Race Card is the biggest freaking joke ever, and one that scares more writers and bloggers than anything else. Cowards, one and all. HAMMER ERIC HOLDER, no free passes because he’s Black, WRONG is WRONG. It makes NO difference what color skin that sorry SOB has.
There is a segment of this population that is going to call you a RACIST no matter what you say, no matter how you say it, as long as YOU are White and espouse an opinion about a BLACK criminal, YOU are a racist!
When I didn’t mourn the recent death of a *hood-rat* that was trying his best to become a *Cop Killer*, I was a racist! So, it matters little what we say or do, we are RACISTS.
Calling for Eric Holder to be hammered makes me a racist, not supporting Barack Hussein Obama makes me a racist, at least in the eyes of Dems, Libbers, Welfare Slugs, reparations and entitlement believers and ‘hood-rats, so, I might as well go ALL OUT and take the Obama Regime to task and try my very best to get Eric Holder removed ASAP and sent to prison!
Holder has faced off repeatedly with Issa and other Republicans in recent months over his handling of the aborted firearms investigation. Issa’s committee has prepared a contempt citation against Holder but not voted on it yet, applying pressure for more documents on Operation Fast and Furious.
Rep. Darrell Issa is trying to do the right thing I believe, I am just not terribly confident that Issa has the drive, the determination or the tenacity to get it done, and lets again call it for what it is; no matter what Issa does, the United States Congress is, for the most part, a bunch of GUTLESS slugs sucking at the teat of the U.S. government, the taxpayer.
Issa is NOT getting the FULL SUPPORT he needs and should have, and it starts with the biggest WUSS the GOP could have ever allowed into its ranks: House Speaker John *Yeah, I cry a lot* Boehner.
Holder said the Justice Department has cooperated fully with congressional investigators and turned over 7,600 pages of material to Congress about the operation.
Eric Holder is a LIAR!
Gun-walking has long been barred by Justice Department policy, but was used in the Arizona operation in an effort to dismantle entire arms-trafficking networks and reach kingpins who had long eluded prosecution. Previous law enforcement strategy had focused on prosecuting low-level illicit arms buyers at the bottom of the chain, but that allowed thousands of weapons to reach Mexico. The gun-walking tactic was first used in two similar operations during the George W. Bush administration.
*Gun walking*, no matter WHO does it, is WRONG. We have ample LAWS in affect that cover WHO can buy a gun, own a gun, carry a gun and so forth, the government simply needs to use the laws in place to insure that U.S. guns sales aren’t heading into Mexico. It’s called BORDER SECURITY, and seriously, the Mexican government needs to accept the responsibility for these guns finding their way into Mexico.
Committee chairman Lamar Smith of Texas asked for the identity of the highest-level official in the Obama administration who knew gun-walking was taking place. Holder replied that the operation began in law enforcement offices in Arizona and that he was not at all certain beyond that.
I don’t think anybody in Washington knew about those tactics,” said the attorney general.
Again, Eric Holder is a LIAR, or, maybe, just maybe, he and his DOJ really are that incompetent.
“How many people in Mexico have been killed as a result of the U.S.” engaging in the gun-walking tactic? asked Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas.
“I don’t know, but I think there would be some,” replied Holder. The attorney general pointed to a broader picture: That 68,000 guns recovered by Mexican authorities in the past five years have been traced back to the United States. Operation Fast and Furious involved about 2,000 guns in total, and agents lost track of about 1,400 of those.
Again, lets get back to ENFORCEMENT, our laws, Mexican laws, our border, their border, the whole thing in general, enforcement got totally LOST on this one, on BOTH sides of the border, and it may be a good idea to look at the accounting procedures and accountability of DOJ; 2,000 guns walked, they *lost track* of 1,400 of them?
Excuse me? They *lost track* of 1,400 of 2,000 guns that *walked*? That’s a 70% loss rate folks. The DOJ, and its subordinate lost track of 70% of the guns they were using as *bait*.
OK, call me a racist for saying this, I really don’t care; Eric Holder is the head of the DOJ, he is the Attorney General and is ultimately responsible for ALL actions of his agency. How can ANYONE support this person and call him any kind of competent?
The entire Obama regime has got to go, ALL of them!
Here, here Fred! This whole deal should have been handled as a criminal investigation in the first place. Instead, Holder has been allowed to ride shotgun over whatever anyone throws at him due to his untouchable, to some, color of his skin! Here we are in 2012 and there are now more of those who are afraid to call it like it is then there has ever been!

I just watched the news showing Holder being “grilled” by Issa.
Holder is a smiling fat cat, who will not fess up.
I expect being a career black employee for over 20 years seniority gives him a false security that he cannot be touched because Obama supports him because he IS black.
Guess what ?
Obama will throw him to the howling public media IF he thinks it will help his re-election.
Holder is nothing but a smug negro who thinks he cannot be fired.
Holder will help bring down Obama, and I say this is just fine.
Holder can be put on trial anytime after Romney is elected President of the USA.

Can somebody tell me how Operation Fast and Furious differs from arming the enemies of governments we are trying to topple? Are the drug cartels not the enemies of the Mexican government? Was operation fast and furious not done without even informing the Mexican government? How can an operation that puts guns into the hands of enemies of a friendly government be done without approval coming from the highest levels of government? Yet the two top law enforcement officials in the nation claim that it was done without their knowledge. Janet Napolitano and Eric Holder deny they had anything to do with it. If they are lying, they need to be driven from office for perjury, and if they are telling the truth, they should be driven from office for gross incompetence. People, do you realize that the security of the United States of America is in the hands of two people who are either liars or so incompetent in running their departments that some underling could instigate an international gun running fiasco without them even knowing about it?
holder is just another chicago thug just like obamma is. they will lie cheat and steal unless america wakes up and puts them either in prison for treason or at the very least make them an unemployment statistic.
