Report cites killings blamed on non-deported illegals
The Obama administration released illegal immigrants who went on to commit more crimes, including charges of 19 murders, 3 attempted murders and 142 sex crimes, the House Judiciary Committee said in a report Tuesday.
All told, 16 percent of the nearly 47,000 illegal immigrants the administration was notified of but declined to deport between 2008 and 2011 under its Secure Communities program have gone on to be charged with other crimes, the committee said.
They were part of the nearly 160,000 immigrants — most of them here legally — who were flagged by Secure Communities during the three-year period and who were later charged in nearly 60,000 more crimes, according to the committee and the Congressional Research Service, which looked at data the committee subpoenaed from the Homeland Security Department.
The Secure Communities program was designed to identify immigrants who end up in state and local prisons and jails who the administration decides it wants to deport.

Report cites killings blamed on non-deported illegals
OK, now that I have pissed off a lot of readers with my Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin and TEA Party post, let’s talk about something that most of us can agree on 100%; the FACT that Barack Hussein Obama and his entire administration is an utter failure and a disgrace to the good name of America.
It seems to me that the Department of Homeland Security is at the heart of the matter, or maybe that should read Department of Homeland IN-Security.
Janet Napolitano is the Secretary of DHS and she is, in MY not so humble and relatively well informed opinion, a total MORON where border security is involved.
Napolitano insists that the U.S. border with Mexico is secure and safer than it has ever been. That is either a statement made by a totally uninformed person or is a LIE.
I am pretty sure it’s a LIE!
I lived on the border for 9 years, and that was quite a while back. I know people that still live along the border, people that are in Law Enforcement, or are retired Officers, and they tell me that the border is more dangerous now that at in any time in their opinion.
Most of these folks have lived on, or close to the U.S. border for 5 or 6 DECADES and I have to believe THEM over a Democratic stooge like Janet Napolitano.
While hundreds of thousands of aliens have been sent back home under the program, 159,286 were not put in deportation proceedings during the period under review, CRS said.
About three-quarters of those weren’t eligible for deportation because they were legal immigrants and their criminal records didn’t rise to the level of deportation.
But nearly a quarter could have been deported and weren’t, CRS said. They went on to commit the 19 murders, 3 attempted murders and 142 sex crimes, the Judiciary Committee said.
And the reasons FOR this lack of deportations are manifold, with *limited resources* being the main reason stated.
I understand that money is tight, for ALL Americans, but one of the bigger reasons for this pecuniary predicament is the strain placed on OUR tax base by those in this nation that are here ILLEGALLY.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency responsible for deportations, said many of those identified by Secure Communities and detailed in the report either weren’t eligible to be deported or were released by local officials before ICE could respond.
Let me make this clear; I am privy to some confidential information that was given to me because the parties giving me that information know that my sources are sacrosanct and their anonymity is assured. That said; according to these sources, ICE has made it VERY clear to local Police and Sheriff’s Departments, if YOU arrest an ILLEGAL they are YOUR problem. That part about “released by local officials before ICE could respond” is a total crock of government BS.
ICE is NOT responding, they have had their budget cut to the bone by the Obama administration and they barely have the funds to do what little they actually do.
I also have sources connected to Border Patrol that are so frustrated at their situation that many are considering other job opportunities.
Border Patrol Agents make pretty good money, but think about this; if you were a Border Patrol Agent and you arrested the same group of individuals, over and over again, only to see them almost immediately released to try again, how long do you think it would take a dedicated Law Enforcement Officer to become so frustrated that they would consider becoming a State Trooper, County Sheriff or local Police Officer?
Catch and release is fine, if you’re a sport fisherman, it’s a terrible idea where the safety and sovereignty of a nation is concerned.
The Obama administration has set records for deportations, removing about 400,000 aliens a year. But it has dramatically altered the composition of those being deported, shifting attention away from rank-and-file illegal immigrants and toward those who already have criminal records or who have repeatedly broken immigration laws.
Perhaps the Obama administration has set records for deportations, but again, when it’s the same ILLEGALS being deported, over and over, wouldn’t you think that Obama and Company would get what’s called *A CLUE*?
If you are arresting and deporting the same folks, over and over, don’t you think it might be a good move to actually SECURE the border?
In June, Mr. Obama announced yet another policy that shields most illegal immigrants age 30 and under from deportation. That policy won’t fully take effect until the middle of August, but it has already had an effect on those being deported.
Between Oct. 1 and June 16, a day after the new policy was announced, 51 percent of those ICE deported had criminal records. But in the month after the policy was announced, the percentage of criminals being deported jumped to 57 percent — a record high rate.
I’m sure that is very reassuring news to some people, but I would love to hear what the friends and families of the 19 persons murders, the 3 that were victims of attempted murders and 142 sex crimes have to say.
I wonder, do THEY believe that catch and release, and limited deportation, along with very lax border security is an acceptable occurrence?
Regardless of his numbers where deportation is concerned, the same people merely come back to the USA and Barack Hussein Obama seems to ignore that part of the equation. Sadly, it’s not just Obama; all Presidents since Harry Truman have had really BAD ideas and attitudes about the enforcement of immigration laws and the security of this nation along our Southern border.
