Slipping in polls, Romney assures voters ‘I care’

WESTERVILLE, Ohio (AP) - Slipping in states that could sink his presidential bid, Republican Mitt Romney declared Wednesday that “I care about the people of America” and can do more than President Barack Obama to improve their lives. In an all-day Ohio duel, Obama scoffed that a challenger who calls half the nation “victims” was unlikely to be of much help.

Romney’s approach reflected what he is up against: a widening Obama lead in polls in key states such as Ohio, the backlash from a leaked video in which he disparages Obama supporters as government-dependent people who see themselves as victims, and a campaign imperative to make his policy plans more plain.

With under six weeks to go, and just one week before the first big debate, Obama’s campaign reveled in the latest public polling - but tried to crush any sense of overconfidence. “If we need to pass out horse blinders to all of our staff, we will do that,” said campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki.

The day’s setting was Ohio, where Obama’s momentum has seemed to be growing. It’s also a state no Republican has won the White House without carrying.

Slipping in polls, Romney assures voters ‘I care’

There are some things I just don’t understand in this life, the 1st and most important being how in the world can ANYONE not see that Barack Hussein Obama is a walking disaster and that the destruction of this nation is his ultimate goal.

Secondly, as my great and dear friend J.D. Longstreet over at Insight on Freedom asked in this post: Who Could Possibly Be “Undecided?”

This is not a time for indecision; this is a time for bold, daring and courageous moves from the true PATRIOTS of this nation. This is a time of truth and speaking that truth. This is a time to take America back from the edge of the abyss and remove the evil doers that have placed her there.

I honestly don’t understand how ANY sane, thinking person can look at Barack Hussein Obama and not see him for the duplicitous, America hating LIAR that he is.

I don’t understand how any American can be so STUPID as to fall for the words of this poser as he begs for another 4 years in which he promises to finish what he started.

I don’t understand how ANY American that is not a hard-core Communist can hear this man called Obama tell Russian President Dmitry Medvedev: I’ll have ‘more flexibility’ after election and not see the ramifications for a disastrous compromise that will take America into the depths of full blown communism and/or socialism.

I don’t understand how an American can listen to Barack Hussein Obama as he LIES to this nation and the world and insists for several days that the Embassy attacks weren’t an act of planned terrorism.

I don’t understand how anyone can support a President that says, “I want to see us export more jobs.” Quickly correcting his remark to be, “export more products,” he joked, “I was channeling my opponent there for a second.” when the is NO evidence that Romney would even remotely consider doing such.

How can a thinking person fall for the lies of Barack Hussein Obama? Can anyone actually answer that?

The only thing that comes to my mind is that they must be blind fools.

Anyone but obama is my thought for this election. Civil war may actually come about if the imposter in chief does win.

I will come no matter what happens.. He wins or loses, the ‘hood rats WILL rise up, either in anger at *The WHITE Man* or in celebration of their perceived victory OVER *The White Man*…

…and I’m surrounded by whiny liberals suffering from marijuana induced arrested-development who get all their political opinions from Bill Maher & John Stewart. If they don’t get me, the illegals will.

        Fun times in 2012!

Here is an answer I read:
Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way that you can quickly understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic. Someone over there has it figured out!

It was translated into English from an article in the Prague newspaper, Prager Zeitungon:

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.

“The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.

“The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their President.”

I absolutely agree that a racial war will happen soon.
    “burn baby burn”

You had better be prepared because it will be very hard for others to supply you with the “needed items when it starts!!!!!!

They’re oversampling Democrats in the polling so it’s no wonder Obama is ahead. What surprises me is even with the oversampling, he’s not ahead by what you would think he is. The MSM is doing this to discourage Conservatives into thinking all is lost. Now, Democrat strategists are worried it may have the reverse effect on Democrats who may think it’s in the bag and they don’t need to vote.

I venture to say that many Conservatives are like me and don’t answer the phone at night if they don’t recognize the number on caller ID. If I literally took every phone call I get at night, I would spend over an hour answering meaningless questions. I took one and spent a bit over 10 minutes answering the questions for a NBC poll; they faked my out and used my local area code.

Just like the Chick Fil A turn out, Conservatives and those concerned about America are going to flood the polls and elect Romney. My hope is to get true Conservatives in congress to keep him in line.

Believe the polling cannot be trusted as most are done by Obama supporters. Hope the voters that want Obama out are not swayed by these polls and show their determination in the voting booth. We need to get rid of our current traitor POTUS. My thoughts are similar to Patrick’s should Obama win. Should Obama lose look for him to raise as much havoc as possible between Nov and Jan.

  5. Katie says:

If you tell a lie enough times people will believe it.

The Media supports Obama and wants him reelected, thus he will be. There is nothing we can do to prevent this.

It is time to stock up on supplies and ammo. The war to come will be bloody.

  6. Bloviating Zeppelin says:

When you think about all the vast amounts of power and press behind Mr Obama, you begin to realize that the question isn’t “Why are Obama and Romney neck-and-neck?” but “why does Romney have any traction whatsoever?”

    • Katie says:

A friend posed this question to me:

“If Obama is so far ahead in the polls and the election is all but over why is he campaigning so hard?”

Obama is campaigning as if he knows the polls are lying.

  7. NativeSon says:

MM26 and Katie (this time) are correct! If you call 75 “clevelanders” and 25 Republicans the poll will show 75% for obomessiah…
Carter was up double digits just days before Reagan land-slided him!!

Keep the faith people, and continue to stockpile ammo!

Katie, just giving you a hard time (you’ve been right before…) <-:)
