AP IMPACT: Cartels dispatch agents deep inside US

MexicoCHICAGO (AP) – Mexican drug cartels whose operatives once rarely ventured beyond the U.S. border are dispatching some of their most trusted agents to live and work deep inside the United States – an emboldened presence that experts believe is meant to tighten their grip on the world’s most lucrative narcotics market and maximize profits.

If left unchecked, authorities say, the cartels’ move into the American interior could render the syndicates harder than ever to dislodge and pave the way for them to expand into other criminal enterprises such as prostitution, kidnapping-and-extortion rackets and money laundering.

Cartel activity in the U.S. is certainly not new. Starting in the 1990s, the ruthless syndicates became the nation’s No. 1 supplier of illegal drugs, using unaffiliated middlemen to smuggle cocaine, marijuana and heroin beyond the border or even to grow pot here.

But a wide-ranging Associated Press review of federal court cases and government drug-enforcement data, plus interviews with many top law enforcement officials, indicate the groups have begun deploying agents from their inner circles to the U.S. Cartel operatives are suspected of running drug-distribution networks in at least nine non-border states, often in middle-class suburbs in the Midwest, South and Northeast. SOURCE

There are some that believe cartels are responsible for the deaths of Kaufman County DA Mike McLelland and his wife Cynthia. I don’t know if that is the fact of the matter or not, but I do know this; it’s not out of the realm of possibilities.

I also know this; IF the United States government, ie: Barack Obama, Eric Holder and the Department of Homeland Security doesn’t get a grip on this cartel activity, the good Ol’ USA is headed into Third World irrelevancy with cartel violence taking place on the streets of THIS nation; just like it happens in Mexico on an almost daily basis.

“It’s probably the most serious threat the United States has faced from organized crime,” said Jack Riley, head of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Chicago office.

Organized crime; over the years that has been a handy *catch-all* name, and it may be an appropriate one, it appears that *crime lords* are, and always have been, rather well organized.

For a long time it was the Mafia, the mob, La Cosa Nostra, whatever you want to call it, and for a long time the FBI, under J. Edgar Hoover, denied that the Mafia even existed.

Of course Hoover was wrong, the Mafia was deeply involved in every act of criminality that could be conceived. They ran drugs, gambling, prostitution, the *numbers* racket and God only knows what else, but the greatest investigative agency in the world didn’t want to admit that the Mob was real.

As the underworld progressed there were many more groups that became engaged in organized crime, and they milked the American economy of BILLIONS of dollars. What they couldn’t steal, they blew up so others couldn’t use it.

For a very long time Asian gangs ran their own little crime world, but today even they are being pushed out of the business by the ruthless tactics employed by Mexican cartels.

I’m not going to go into explicit detail about the actions of Mexican drug cartels and their activities in Mexico, but I will say this; I have been made privy to some photos that were taken at the scenes of Mexican cartel violence, photos of drugs, money, weapons, vehicles and bodies, ALL of it. Most of the bodies are shot to pieces or have their heads missing.

That is the method of enforcement the cartels use against their enemies.

I read and hear hard-core Libertarians and Liberals saying they want to legalize drugs, make them readily available and tax them like the taxes on tobacco and alcohol. They seem to think that this legalization and taxation will eliminate the drug business, and the cartels from the American landscape.

These Libs, Libertarian and Liberal, are WRONG!

Legalization will add money to the price of narcotics thus causing the *user* to engage in even more theft and robbery to feed their *habit*, and as such, a *cut rate* Black Market will emerge and the cartels will still be in business, maybe not making a billion dollars a day, but all the same, they will still be making huge sums of money as they spread their poison in America.

I say this in all seriousness; the powers that be need to ramp up, I mean drastically ramp up their efforts to secure our border with Mexico, hunt down and arrest these cartel *bosses* and get them out of America, dead or alive.

I prefer DEAD!

  1. The more you let Mexicans into the US, the more it’s going to look and act like Mexico.

What the FUCK is so DIFFICULT for Americans to understand about the concept??

It’s not like they have to be rocket scientists… But for so many, if breathing weren’t a reflex, if it took ANY thought process at all, they would die…

  2. Fred,

First off Obama and Holder must first detach themselves from the very cartels that they have been assisting since Fast and Furious went public.

This is nothing more than allowing certain cartels to have unfettered access to the United States to sell their poison here and allow easy access to Canada and other areas.

Based on my old sources this is exactly what is going on. Some may laugh at the assertion, but if I am lying I dieing.

    It is what it is.

  3. Katie says:

Liberals want an open border so more voters enter the nation. A closed border and strict enforcement of the laws would stifle these gangs. I bet you that they settle in Democrat run towns, after all the gun laws a strict and cops are non-existent.

  4. Bunkerville says:

It was only a matter of time until this started. Yet nothing reported about all of the kidnappings that are going on in Phoenix.

DA may have stumbled onto something related to “Fast and Furious”. Don’t rule out the Obama regime in this.

    • TexasFred says:

Do you REALLY want to go down that road? Your comment seriously disappoints me, not that I have ANY love of Obama or his regime, but because I thought you were a lot better than that…

That’s some bullshit like you’d hear from Alex Jones and his crowd…

  6. Well, I may be a looney philosophical Libertarian but that said; Any nation that refuses to protect it’s own territory will soon be something other than a nation. When the core values of a nation become so distorted that it is no longer recognizable then it is no longer that same nation. That is precisely what the people of these not so United States have allowed to happen. We have allowed so many diverse groups of terrorists, political, narco, and economic into the country that I soon see no other path than sheer insurrection. For those of us that value core American values at least.

  7. mrchuck says:

Mexico has NO redeeming value for me.
It is a totally corrupt Republic, and has ALWAYS been this way since the Mayans.
200 super rich families pick the politicians and the military’s generals.
It will always be this way until defeated by some higher powerful country.
And that in itself is a dilemma.
So, never expect any Mexican to be an “honest” person when this person comes into the USA. They will turn the USA into the same shit-hole they came from.

  8. mrchuck says:

Yes, I believe the “Kaufman killer” is a Mexican hit-boy.
Plenty of them can enter this USA, and be supplied a weapon and given their killing orders.
Most of the killing in Mexico has been done this way between the Mexican cartels.
And Kaufman County has many many illegal alien Mexicans living and breeding there.
Beware folks, more killings like this can easily happen, wherever you have a populace of illegals.
