GOP Sen. Kirk announces support for gay marriage

CHICAGO (AP) - GOP Sen. Mark Kirk of Illinois on Tuesday became the second sitting Republican senator to endorse gay marriage - a move that also could shift the political debate over legalizing gay marriage in Kirk’s home state.

Kirk, who has opposed a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, said in a post on his blog that “same-sex couples should have the right to civil marriage.”

“Our time on this Earth is limited, I know that better than most,” said Kirk, who suffered a stroke in January 2012. “Life comes down to who you love and who loves you back - government has no place in the middle.”

Kirk went through months of rehabilitation before returning to work in Washington this January. He said in his blog post that he promised himself he would return “with an open mind and greater respect for others.” SOURCE

Well, what do you think about that? Having a stroke has apparently affected Kirk’s brain and I don’t intend that to sound as mean as it does but can you come up with another reason a GOP Senator would support HOMOSEXUAL marriage?

He said he was going to come back with “an open mind” didn’t he?

OK, if it’s not brain damage causing Kirk to support HOMOSEXUAL marriage, then what could it possibly be?

Surely he’s not one of those critters that have taken it upon themselves to destroy the Republican Party is he? A RINO? The most duplicitous critter walking?

For those that may not know; a RINO is a Republican In Name Only, in other words, it’s a politician that is so close to being a Liberal Dem it’s hard to tell the difference.

A RINO hasn’t got a Conservative bone in his body. A RINO is a graphic example of what is wrong with the GOP and why we have a Socialist SOB like Barack Obama in the White House.

I know I’ll hear from the *Homo Support Crowd*, telling me that I am wrong in my views of HOMOSEXUAL marriage. I’m pretty sure I’ll be called a *homophobe* again, nothing new there, but these folks need to realize, I am an older American, a traditionalist and a Conservative that believes marriage is ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN.

I am NOT one of the *touchy-feely* Libtard crowd. Yeah, I know, shocking isn’t it?

Well, here’s another shock for you; I am pretty much convinced that the HOMOSEXUAL marriage thing is a done deal, a battle that we’re just NOT going to win, and that speaks volumes about the moral character of America and how far this nation has sunk into the muck and mire.
