AG Eric Holder: Justice Department targeting Texas redistricting in voting-rights fight
WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder announced Thursday that the Justice Department is opening a new front in the battle for voter protections, a response to the Supreme Court ruling that he said dealt a major setback to the Voting Rights Act.
In a speech to the National Urban League in Philadelphia, Holder said that as its first move, the department is asking a federal court in San Antonio to require the state of Texas to obtain advance approval before putting future political redistricting changes in place.
The attorney general called the Voting Rights Act “the cornerstone of modern civil rights law” and said that “we cannot allow the slow unraveling of the progress that so many, throughout history, have sacrificed so much to achieve.”
The Supreme Court, on a 5-4 vote, threw out the most powerful part of the landmark Voting Rights Act, the law that became a major turning point in black Americans’ struggle for equal rights and political power. SOURCE
Let me pose this question; do you believe that Eric Holder and the Obama regime would be challenging the U.S. Supreme Court ruling and Texas LAW if any of this had come down in favor of Barack Hussein Obama and the Democrats?
Yeah, me either.
The move in Texas is the Justice Department’s first action to further safeguard voting rights following the Supreme Court decision on June 25, said Holder, “but it will not be our last.”
Let me just go ahead and say it; this is nothing more than an act of REVERSE RACISM and DISCRIMINATION on Holder’s part, and an attempt to further restrict the RIGHTS of a FREE STATE!
This all stems from the idea of requiring a VALID identification for every voter in the state of Texas and the idea that this I.D. somehow disenfranchises the poor Black and Hispanic voters.
As they used to say in the *old days*, that ol’ dog won’t hunt!
An I.D. is required for everything you do today. No matter who you are, where you live, what you do, when you do it or what you do with it, you have to have some form of a legitimate identification.
How does that pose any disenfranchisement on poor Black or Hispanic voters?
Well, many claim they can’t afford a new I.D. but that’s a load of BS, a voters I.D. is one of those things the state of Texas does *FREE OF CHARGE*.
Some say they lack transportation to get to a State Office to get that FREE I.D. but again, that’s another huge load of B.S. They get to town to spend their welfare check, to buy cigarettes, booze, beer and so forth, but it disenfranchises them as voters.
And in case you haven’t noticed; the Dems always manage to turn out their voters, be they dead or alive, come Election Day.
Herein lies the crux of the problem.
That DEAD voter thing? Yes indeed, it is a real phenomenon among Democrats and to actually require a VALID identification would greatly impact the number of Dem votes, thus impacting the Dems control of certain segments of ALL levels of government.
“Even as Congress considers updates to the Voting Rights Act in light of the court’s ruling, we plan, in the meantime, to fully utilize the law’s remaining sections to ensure that the voting rights of all American citizens are protected,” Holder said.
Let me tell you what Holder REALLY said in that paragraph.
‘I am going to do everything within my power to make sure that we can vote as many dead voters as we can, any time we can, as often as we can and will do so until my dying breath… So help me Obama…’
Or something.
It’s all about CONTROL my friends, not real, legal or accurate representation, it’s all about turning out Democratic voters, legal or otherwise, as the Obama regime exerts what strength it has left in a desperate attempt to further distract the American people from the many scandals of the most incompetent President in American history.

Folks, tyranny is coming on a freight train unless we band together NOW and stop it, because once it is in place, it will take extremely great physical pain to uproot and abolish it. We did it once before, we may have to do it again. I’m not sure the public in general these days has the gumption to get it done as before.

Wait just a minute. Didn’t the Supreme Court just rule that the federal government couldn’t do what Eric Holder is asking them to do? Didn’t the Supreme Court just rule that states could no longer require prior approval to change their voting laws? If so, then why is Eric Holder ignoring the ruling and acting as if nothing has changed?
It seems to me he is using a classic move out of the Obama playbook. Just ignore the law and do whatever you want to do.
