Sebelius faults Texas leaders for politicizing health law

Kathleen SebeliusAUSTIN –– While visiting Austin to highlight health insurance enrollment efforts under the federal Affordable Care Act, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius acknowledged Friday that the online marketplace still isn’t working smoothly and criticized some Texas leaders for continuing to mount a political campaign against the law.

“It’s unfortunate that it is still being conducted as a political campaign and not as the law,” she said in an interview with the Tribune. “This is no longer a political debate; it’s the law of the land.”

Sebelius acknowledged that the success of the law hinges on enrollment efforts in Texas, which has the highest rate of uninsured residents in the nation — a quarter of the state’s population, roughly 6 million people, are uninsured. Health care advocates and local elected officials across the state are working to educate Texans about their health care options in the federal marketplace, Sebelius said. But the political backlash promulgated by state leaders, including Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, “has come with a lot of fear and misinformation, and that is a difficult atmosphere for people to understand a new program.” SOURCE

Sebelius faults Texas leaders for politicizing health law?

Unlike Sebelius maybe our TEXAS leaders KNOW who THEY work for. In case you may have missed this from Sebelius in the Friday news cycle: Sebelius says she doesn’t ‘work for’ those calling for her resignation.

This isn’t DC politics Ms. Sebelius, this is TEXAS and we hold our elected officials accountable for their actions, as her boss is going to find out in 2014 when the House AND Senate are no longer under DEM control.

Once BOTH Houses have been wrested from the hands of the Democrats all we need to do is convince the GOP to do the RIGHT thing and stop being the Republicrats they have recently become, grow a *set* and be the Conservative Party that America truly needs, and that starts with dumping Sen. Mitch McConnell, Rep. John Boehner and that twit at the head of the RNC, Rinse Shortbus.

Critics of the law have said that insurance premiums would ultimately climb and that businesses would cut back on employee hours or reduce existing health benefits. Even proponents of the law, such as state Sen. Wendy Davis, D-Fort Worth, have said that technical problems need to be resolved because they are discouraging Texans from enrolling.

So, #AbortionBarbie (Davis) believes it’s the technical problems that will keep Texans from enrolling in the ObamaCare boondoggle?

Texas State Sen. Wendy Davis of Ft. Worth may not be a *natural blond*, but the stigmas, and bad jokes that blonds suffer is brought on by people LIKE Wendy Davis. Davis is too dumb to grasp the idea that the monstrosity called The Affordable Care Act, isn’t … affordable that is.

Texans are concerned about the web site issues, I am certain of it, but any Texan that has more than a handful of working brain cells already knows; ObamaCare is a disaster and Wendy Davis is a disaster looking for a place to happen!

“It’s far from being optimum, and we won’t stop until it is,” Sebelius told reporters at the CommUnityCare health center in Austin. Sebelius and Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell toured the East Austin facility and met with certified application counselors who were helping Texans enroll using the website.

Of course the Obama regime is going to try and *fix* the ACA, it is Obama’s signature piece of work, the one that represents his efforts to take the United States into total Socialism and will be one of the defining pieces of Obama’s legacy.

Nearly all Americans on the right, be they GOP, Conservative, or some other designation, we have stood against Obama and the ACA but we have had it shoved down our throats, even though national polls made it clear that at least 56% of the American public opposes the ACA.

Most stories quoting numbers are all over the spectrum in regards to WHY Americans don’t, for the most part, want to enroll in the ACA. As Obamacare runs into problems, Americans still want to give it a chance. All I can say is; some Americans are too dumb to come in out of the rain, but all you have to do is look at the White House and it’s current infestation to KNOW that.

She’s learned from Obama very will…It’s someone elses fault. Since she’s in Texas, it’s a wonder she didn’t blame Bush.

Aside from single handedly rounding up Obama and placing him in a coffin, please tell me one thing this shoddy administration has accepted responsibility for.

And aren’t most of those uninsurred “Texans” really illegals? My guess is that if he thought about it obama would use NAFTA to provide obamacare to all of Mexico. And Kenya. And Indonesia. And Syria. Etc, etc, etc——-.

  5. mrchuck says:

Look, In Mexico, the mexican nationals have their own socalized health care that covers everything when you show up at one of their hospitals.
That is why all hallways are full of waiting mexicans! The line continues outside and down the street.
    They wait all-night long.
    This is Mexico’s health care.
D you expect that these illegal mexicans here in the USA will pay for health care? The answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT !!!
They are used to indigent care all their lives.
    THEY WILL NEVER PAY !!!!!
This O-butthole care will fail here with all mexicans.
Oh, his name is Barry Sotero, as he NEVER lawfully changed his name.

Ah, the blame game has began and is under full throttle. Personally, I think it just has to be Bush’s fault. It just has to be.

  7. Nemesis says:

It’s the law of the land! Yeah right! 1000 pages of legislation read by no one in government, passed in the wee hours of the night without a proper debate and forced onto the populace with provisions for fining those who object to it!

That now passes for law of the land? Where’s the tar and feathers!

  8. NativeSon says:

Actually, I think the last I read it was over 22,000 pages… 🙁

  9. Capt Ron says:

Lap dogs and miscreants, that’s what the lot of them are. I still stand on the constitution. There are provisions in article V for us, the populace, to pursue.

  10. Patrick Sperry says:

Texas politicized this damned thing? Nope, it was the jerks that passed a law that requires all citizens to buy a private product. She simply, as the Scots of old would say, “Cannot Understand Normal Thinking.”
