Competing politics forced Obama delay on immigration

WASHINGTON (AP) — Caught between competing political demands over immigration, President Barack Obama will now wait until after the November election to take executive action that could shield millions of immigrants from deportation and ignite a clash over the extent of his presidential authority.

Obama’s decision abandons a pledge he made June 30 to act quickly after summer’s end, and it prompted an immediate and furious backlash from immigration advocates. But in the past several weeks, the pressure for swift measures from pro-immigration groups ran up against fears from Democrats that acting now would energize Republican opposition against vulnerable Senate Democrats. SOURCE

Let me be VERY blunt; the only thing Barack Hussein Obama cares about is holding on to the Senate so his reign of destruction and imagined royalty won’t be terminated.

Immigrants are pawns in the Obama game, and yes, I know, the United States was built on the sweat and blood of immigrants, but that was then and this is now. We are NOT building a nation, we ARE trying to save one and the addition of millions of welfare sucking ILLEGAL immigrants will do nothing to help this nation maintain or grow in stature.

Two White House officials said Obama concluded that circumventing Congress through executive actions on immigration during the campaign would politicize the issue and hurt future efforts to pass a broad overhaul. They said he fully intends to act before the end of the year.

Of course Obama intends to act before years end, once the votes are counted in November the United States will once again be in the hands of the GOP or still under the thumb of the Democrats.

If the GOP carries the day Obama has to do as much damage as he possibly can before the new Senators and Congressmen are seated and put an end to Obama and his nonsense as POTUS. Anything Obama places into law with an Executive Order before the swearing in of new Congressmen and Senators can probably be repealed and declared to be an abuse of Presidential powers, but the process could be quite ugly.

If the GOP doesn’t retain the House and retake the Senate then Obama is a lame duck and a loose cannon that can carry out the full destruction of this nation at his leisure.

To put it in words even a Democrat *should* be able to understand; there will be no future efforts to pass a broad overhaul of immigration, Obama will sign an Executive Order, the Dems will slap themselves on the back and wander off into the land of sheer stupidity that they dwell in.

But Fred, he’s only doing it to help the children and those less fortunate.

Reflecting the passion behind the threat of deportations, however, immigration advocacy groups that have criticized Republicans for not passing an immigration overhaul instantly turned their anger on Obama.

Cristina Jimenez, managing director of United We Dream, said the decision was “another slap to the face of the Latino and immigrant community.”

“Where we have demanded leadership and courage from both Democrats and the president, we’ve received nothing but broken promises and a lack of political backbone,” she said.

Again, let me say this in words so plain that even a DUMB Dem *should* understand; do you think Barack Hussein Obama gives a damn about YOU Cristina? Do you honestly believe the Democrats are going to *save you*? Do you seriously believe the Democrats care what happens to you and yours?

All the Democrats care about is keeping Latino immigrants coming into this nation in hopes that they will vote Democrat.

You doubt that? Ask the Black folk of America how far following the Democratic Party has taken them. Ask them how successful they have been by drinking the punch and eating that free cheese, using those free phones and burning the free gasoline they have been promised on so many occasions.

Wake up people, the Dems are lying to you, Obama doesn’t care about YOU or anything else other than his extravagant lifestyle. Ignorant White, Black and Hispanic Dems are empowering this travesty, allowing it to grow bigger and bolder by the day, and if Obama and Company aren’t stopped we, as a nation, are ruined.

This one is another winner, Fred. Couldn’t have said it better.

My sentiments exactly. Good post Fred. Cloward and Piven are the progressive idols of this so called immigrant and latino community. Where are the politicians who represent the American Citizen Community? The loudest voice I hear is coming from Sessions, a Republican and a true Conservative. I hope the current crop of contenders will stay the course and represent their constituents and not fall prey to the lobbyists and special interest groups that seem to have bottomless pockets.

“another slap to the face of the ILLEGAL Latino and ILLEGAL immigrant community.”

What scares me is the thought of what he might do after midterms. And the fact that there seems to be no way of reining in his abuses of power. What will happen if he indeed uses executive orders to grant sweeping amnesty?

I started reading “Liberty and Tyranny” this weekend, and I see a lot of parallels with the current state of things. I also see Cloward and Pivens playbook in action, same as Wayne. Obama can be stopped, but there are too many Statists in Congress and in the judiciary. Woe to us if we don’t figure out how to stop it.

Read back on Roosevelt’s “Second Bill of Rights” now being implemented further. Pure Statist (progressive) mentality in action. Every one is not exactly the same, life is not fair, and man has to work for themselves. The statist wants everyone to rely on the government for “equality.” Wake up, America, or be a number in a sheep herd.

Hey Ron thanx for the tip. I read the FDR speech and commentary on the Heritage website. Boy, it shure sounds convincing doesn’t it. I never thought of FDR that way. Maybe God called him home early for a reason.
