Obama starts 2016 with a fight over gun control

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is slated Monday to finalize a set of new executive actions tightening the nation’s gun laws, making his first order of business in 2016 a clear signal the president in his final year doesn’t intend to go quietly.

At a meeting with Attorney General Loretta Lynch, FBI Director James Comey and other top law enforcement officials Obama is expected to sign off on a package of proposals aimed at curbing gun violence and cracking down on unregulated gun sales.

At the top of the list is an effort to expand background checks on gun sales by forcing more sellers to register as federally licensed gun dealers. The changes would be aimed at some unregistered sellers who skirt the background check laws by selling at gun shows, online or informal settings. Other moves being considered include improving reporting of lost and stolen weapons and beefing up inspections of licensed dealers, according to a person familiar with the plans who would not be named discussing proposals before they are finalized.

The package includes measures this White House has long considered but not completed, mindful of the legal fight sure to follow as well as the potential for political backlash for some fellow Democrats. SOURCE

It will be a cold day in HELL before I willingly turn over ANY gun, even a Glock.

My friends, there IS a CIVIL WAR coming in this nation and it will be the work of the most tyrannical president the USA has ever known, Barack Hussein Obama and his Socialist minions.

There is only ONE WAY this nation can be fully controlled by the Commies, Socialists and Muslims and that is for ALL of US to be disarmed, and that is the cold day I refer to.

Deo vindice!

  1. It is amazing, I have been to a number of gun shows here in California and I have never seen any vendor except those with FFLs. And, as for those so-called “parking lot deals,” we should make the undercover Feds into parking control assistants so they are more useful. But, then again, repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the commonly accepted truth. Likewise, nobody considers that all of the gun regulations in Chicago, Detroit, Oakland, Los Angeles, Newark, etc. has not stopped the criminals and crazies from killing each other in numbers that would exceed ALL of the mass killings in the United States and elsewhere — except Mexico. Whoops: another inconvenient truth.

Side note: While I respect your ability to own and use a Glock, unless it is your duty weapon or mandated for competition, we need to stage an intervention.

      Best side note ever!! 😛

Trust me, OCS, it will be an even COLDER day in Hell if Fred ever willingly picks up another Glock – except, of course, to toss it in the nearest Glock Pistol Recycling Bin …

They recycle them?? Well, I guess ya gotta make paperweights out of something.. 😛

I don’t know what the Glock people find so attractive about these guns. I fired a Glock at the local gun store’s range and compared it to several that my wife and I were looking at. I chose a S&W M&P in 9mm. I chose the 9 because of the price of the ammo. We like to practice you see.

I will admit that there are somethings worse than a Glock. Rohm and Hipoint come to mind.

Building his legacy…One stupid idea at a time.
