WASHINGTON, July 20 (RIA Novosti) - A former Reagan official has issued a public warning that the Bush administration is preparing to orchestrate a staged terrorist attack in the United States, transform the country into a dictatorship and launch a war with Iran within a year.
Paul Craig Roberts, a former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, blasted Thursday a new Executive Order, released July 17, allowing the White House to seize the assets of anyone who interferes with its Iraq policies and giving the government expanded police powers to exercise control in the country.
Roberts, who spoke on the Thom Hartmann radio program, said: “When Bush exercises this authority [under the new Executive Order], there’s no check to it. So it really is a form of total, absolute, one-man rule.”
“The American people don’t really understand the danger that they face,” Roberts said, adding that the so-called neoconservatives intended to use a renewal of the fight against terrorism to rally the American people around the fading Republican Party.
We all know that the left has it’s own set of moonbat conspiracy theorists but the far right is just as guilty, the guy making these claims is supposedly a former Reagan official so I am of the assumption that this would make him a right leaning conservative, or at least he was a right leaning conservative, before he took a tumble into far right field and moonbat land…
The left has been screaming that Bush and Cheney were behind 9-11 and the WTC/Pentagon attacks, Pres. Bush has been desperately searching for a way to blame it all on Saddam so he can justify his prolonged incursion into Iraq, an incursion that will undoubtedly go on for quite some time into the future, well this story beats all I have heard, up until this point…
And here’s the pay off…
Roberts suggested that in the absence of a massive popular outcry, only the federal bureaucracy and perhaps the military could put constraints on Bush’s current drive for a fully-fledged dictatorship.
“They may have had enough. They may not go along with it,” he said.
For one thing, I do NOT see our military EVER going for something like this, the American military would NOT stand for nor help to enforce a dictatorship in this nation…
What I do see is the opportunity for another history making event if they did, a coup d’état, an event never before experienced in the history of this nation, followed by an intense outbreak of violent civil insurrection…
But let’s just get right down to the bottom line and cut to the chase, whoever the moonbat was that wrote the original story is nothing more than a conspiracy nut…
You doubt that?? Ask yourself THIS question, and answer honestly, if the Bush administration can’t secure a pissant sand pile like Iraq, a nation that is roughly the size of Texas, how in the hell can they orchestrate the total dictatorship of THIS nation??

This guy may well be a moonbat,but don’t underestimate this sonofbitch,we have been doing that since 2000.And I for one do not believe this military or these police in this country won’t murder everyone of us,if ordered.I’ve talked to people in law enforcement and those retire who don’t share your confidemce.They have kept this a private army for a reason,the network of personnel in Iraq that is ex-army or mercernaries is greater than the army we have there.I’m not trying to pick a fight,but I have been a Mayor,and in that capacty.a judge and chief of police,I don’t underestimate the stupidy of mankind.I will say that if we where still a drafted army,this conversation would not be taking place.But we are not and as great a fighting force as we have,lets hope they don’t turn on us.

The same people who say Bush a a bumbling, stumbling, fool would also have you believe he’s going to make himself ‘Leader For Life’ like Mao did.
