National Tax Day Tea Party ~ April 15, 2009

The President
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington, DC 20500
(202) 456-1414 Switchboard
(202) 456-2461 FAX

It has also been suggested that you may want to send one to your Senators, your Congressman, your Governor, any and all State and Federal leadership persons and/or Cabinet Members and especially the Attorney General, Eric Holder. You decide WHO, just Google the names and positions for their addresses and there you go.

Tea, envelopes and postage are not expensive and this is one of the most powerful PEACEFUL messages that We, The People can send!

And I am planning on sending a few faxed pics to the White House FAX Line too, (202) 456-2461, I think an inundation of their FAX line may be in order too!!

Problem with the tea bags…..They’re not letting ‘em through. Might be better to send the tag thingy….or, the panel from the front of a box? Evidently, someone at the WH thinks tea is a dangerous material. :?

  2. comment number 2 by: TexasFred

Great point Kate, but I think we ALL know, Obama will never see ANY of it anyway… They keep that SOB in a *bubble*…

But the tags or a box end is a better idea and they can’t say we sent some dangerous *brown powder*… :P

  3. comment number 3 by: Vigilante

Pull the same stunt acorn does… buy the box and send them all (one at a time) to whoever ya want. Like Fred says “ol’ numb nuts” wont see any, but for his sake somebody better tell him that the people of this country are getting dam sick and tired of his ignorant black Muslim ass taking this country down the road to ruin.

I wonder what would happen if we all sent him unopened packets of Kool-Aid?

  5. comment number 5 by: TexasFred

I guess it would be called a Kool-Aid protest and HISTORY, along with the ramifications and implications OF the Great Boston Tea Party, would be kicked to the curb…

  6. comment number 6 by: Kate

Personally, I’d like to send him something brown, but it wouldn’t be in flaked/powered form…..mostly comes in piles.

Don’t forget about using their e-mail too. I know of a few people who are sending the message: I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it any more!

    Be creative!

What we will do on tax day is “decorate” boxes with the words “State of the Union” and “Barack Tea” on the outside. We then were ordered by our commander to open the hatches and take out all the chests of tea and throw them overboard, and we immediately proceeded to execute his orders, first cutting and splitting the chests with our tomahawks, so as thoroughly to expose them to the effects of the water. ……..We will place a red, diagonal “mark” over the words Barack tea to show that we don’t want any of this.
We will then at opportune moments and appropriate times, ceremoniously “dunk” our tea in water to mimic what the “indians” did at the first “tea party”……. If we are unable to attend the Austin tea party with Glen Beck, we are having a local one (I won’t have to make as many “tea chests”. I encourage everyone to attend the tea party of their choice (or host one of your own if your town isn’t scheduled for one). ” If we say or do nothing now, we might lose our right to say and do ANYTHING later (unless it’s “government sanctioned”). God bless you all in your endeavors, continue to pray …. and DO something, always peaceful, oftentimes strong!!!

Most of the people I know are sending the paper wrapper the tea bag is in.

I’m going to send a tea bag wrapper. I’m also going to attend the Tea Party in Burleson Texas, scheduled on the 15th! That town tried to shut the event down, in the name of public safety, of course. I sent a letter to the Mayor, City Manager and the rest of the City Council. So did a ‘bazillion’ other folks. By Friday morning the City Of Burleson had blocked all e-mails with “Tea Party” in the subject line. Did all those e-mails work?…..You Betcha!!! Of course when the city reversed itself they went into the usual spin story about public safety and how they had never intended to prevent the Tea Party from taking place…you know the stuff it seems we’re getting now from all municipalities. But, I did get a response from the Mayor..sent to me and all the other e-mailers before they started blocking them. I think the people spoke and the City of Burleson Texas listened. I’ll be at that Tea Party (even though I don’t live in Burleson) with a sign that reads:

    ECONOMIC FASCISM
Hope & Change for Your Neighborhood

    KEEP YOUR POWDER DRY PATRIOTS!!!

I’ll be attending the Tea Party in Fort Worth on the 15th.
    6:00pm - 8:00pm
    La Grave Field
    301 NE 6th Street
    Fort Worth, TX

    Parking is a $5

I’ll be at Salt Lake City’s tea party, as will my wife and 5 month year old son. “The mess in my son’s diaper, is nothing compared to Obama’s economy.”

Dallas City Hall has a HUGE reflecting pool, Wicked Stepmother mentioned using it to make a HUGE tea party pot of tea…

That is why I love that woman, she’s almost as evil as I am.. :P

    Dallas City Hall
    (214) 760-8990
    1500 Marilla Dr, Dallas, TX

We’re moving the time to 5:30-9. We still want to have a good crowd at 5:30 for local coverage, but there is word that we’ll have a live national broadcast carrying the event at 9 as well, so plan on a long and productive night spreading the word to our elected officials that we will not stand for grotesque overspending. We hope to see you there!

My husband and I (both extexans) now live in the suburbs of DC and are planning to attend the tea party on the 15th, however, being a retired military family neither of us has a clue what is entailed in a protest. Nonetheless, this time we must return to the ’60s and protest…which we would have never done then! So, we need help. What is involved and what do we do? We are in our late 60s, so keep your suggestions with that in mind! Thanks for any help you can give us.

  19. comment number 19 by: TexasFred

Ex, just by showing up you have done SO much more than many will…

These Tea Parties are symbolic for the most part, but the symbolism should NOT be ignored by those in political power, on BOTH sides..

A rattlesnake gives a warning before it strikes, this should be considered our warning to the government, as these Tea Party things are going to be peaceful assemblies, I hope they are anyway…

I know that personally I feel much better doing something like this than taking part in an unarmed GUN OWNERS march in Washington, D.C.

For 1 thing, we’re NOT unarmed here in Texas, and for the most part we are PATRIOTS, not terrorists, and I fear a gun owners march in D.C. is going to be lambs to a slaughter.

Dress well, act appropriately and take a box of tea bags, you’ll see what’s up when you get there… :D

Mrs extexan….you can contact the D.C. organizer - [email protected] - to get information and help. She’ll be happy to give you all the info you need. Also, you can go to the National Tax Day Tea Party website http://taxdayteaparty.com/

Damn.. Look at you go Kate!! Git some!! :P

  22. comment number 22 by: extexan

Thanks y’all! I’m off on a mission! Kate, you really gave me some good websites, which I shall pursue. Wish us luck! (By the way, my husband is a member of NRA and we own many guns, which we keep at our cabin in WV).

I might add that finding ammo is becoming a serious issue in the past few months. What could this mean? ;)

  23. comment number 23 by: Kate

Hmmm…. I do have my moments of usefulness, don’t I. Rare, though they may be. :P

Funny….there’s a major shortage of ammo all over the place. The guys we buy from complain to us they can’t get it themselves, and when they do, they can’t keep it on the shelf. Yep….wonder what that’s all about….. Heh.

  24. comment number 24 by: extexan

Could it be that we are all stocking up? Oh No! We are not afraid of what lies ahead.

We had a gun auction in WV this past weekend and there was no place to park for miles. Guns and ammo are definitey in short supply! Methinks that we have an army (or militia) lying in wait for what lies in our future.

As a conservative, who never protests anything, I am terrified of what lies in our future.
