Lawmakers face angry crowds on health care

LEBANON, Pa. (AP) - Jeers and taunts drowned out Democrats calling for a health care overhaul at town halls Tuesday, and one lawmaker said a swastika was spray-painted at his office as debate turned to noisy confrontation over President Barack Obama’s plan. The president himself was treated more respectfully.

“You’ll be gone, by God the bureaucrats will still be here,” one man told Sen. Arlen Specter, D-Pa., at a town hall in Lebanon, Pa.

“If they don’t let us vent our frustrations out, they will have a revolution,” Mary Ann Fieser of Hillsboro, Mo., told Sen. Claire McCaskill at her Missouri health care forum.

McCaskill admonished the rowdy crowd of some 1,500.

“I don’t understand this rudeness,” she said. “I honestly don’t get it.”

She doesn’t understand the rudeness? Well golly Sen. McCaskill, it’s called feeling threatened. The rudeness is a simple reaction. When a human being feels threatened, they tend to react. Sometimes they react with anger, sometimes with rudeness, sometimes by running and hiding, but you can count on this Senator, the body human WILL react.

And this ObamaKare Obamanure is a very threatening proposition to any American with an I.Q. that’s larger than their waist size.

Many Americans feel that they are being misrepresented, and in some cases, outright lied to by their elected officials in Congress and the Senate, especially the Senate. Thankfully, the congressional representatives from my part of Texas are nothing less than top shelf.

Our Senators, on the other hand, are both a couple of wild cards. Maybe Sen. Cornyn, a man that is assumed by some to be a Conservative, didn’t share this with you, but he was booed off a stage on July 4th, booed off by REAL Conservatives right here in Texas.

Must have been some of those Right Wing Radicals you guys are so afraid of.

I guess people like you would call that a manufactured outrage, that seems to be your new catch phrase, that and your buddy Harry Reid with his genius comment about Astro Turf as a way to insult real grassroots politics. You guys are creative in the phrase department, I must say.

Say, Sen. McCaskill, while I’m thinking about it, let me ask you this; WHY, if it’s a crowd of Dem Libbers protesting something, oh, I don’t know, for the sake of argument, let’s say ABORTION, why is it that their protests are called a true exhibition of patriotism and when Conservatives protest against the policies of one Barack Hussein Obama, we’re called Domestic Terrorists and a mob of unruly, and sore losers? Can you answer that one for me Senator? I’m sure that sheer hypocrisy has absolutely nothing to do with it huh? Surely not…

I will say one thing for you Senator, you and Arlen Specter had the guts to stand up in front of a crowd that wasn’t stacked in your favor. That’s a hell of a lot more than can be said for your dear and fearless leader, Barack Hussein Obama.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. - Braced for a fight he never got, President Barack Obama went on the offensive in support of his health care plan Tuesday, urging a town hall audience not to listen to those who seek to “scare and mislead the American people.”

“For all the scare tactics out there, what is truly scary is if we do nothing,” Obama told a friendly crowd of about 1,800 in a high school auditorium and a nationwide audience watching on cable television.

The White House had been ready for an unruly reception from opponents of overhauling health care. There was no sign of that, perhaps because of the makeup of the day’s crowd or out of traditional deference for the president.

Obama: Stop the ‘misrepresentations’

If that wasn’t a stacked audience, I never saw one.

The crowd in New Hampshire was a hand selected, well groomed and highly coached PRO Obama crowd. There is NO WAY that they allowed any real, angry, red in the face Conservatives in that gym. Obama got a soft crowd of Dems and RINOs that were in his pocket and that is all there is to it.

Obama faced NO outbursts, NONE. There were no tough questions. There is no way that even the President of the United States doesn’t get raked over the coals at a time like this. I have NO proof, I have no links or citation but I know a stacked crowd when I see one.I just hope as many Americans, Conservative and otherwise, saw the same thing I did; a disingenuous coward that’s afraid to face REAL Conservative and GOP Americans, afraid to face any that pose a challenge to his reign, his hopefully short reign.

The shorter, the better!

“To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.” ~Theodore Roosevelt~

Fred, I wouldn’t have minded being in Pennsylvania today to have a few words with (at) Specter. I would have told him I believe nothing that comes out of his mouth and the majority of people in DC. I would have told him he is a spineless, power hungry turd who would change to the Communist Child Molesting party if he thought it would keep his sorry ass in DC a day more! I have no doubt 99% of the Congress Critters would do the same! Keep up your great page spreading the truth about what’s going on in this country!

And the bastards in the Senate can’t understand why Americans are pissed off?

Looking at the crowds at these Town Halls and they’re overwhelming middle aged and senior citizens. A good majority of them are veterans who’ve already sacrificed for this country. I think the people who fought for this country and those who worked to make it the most powerful and free nation on earth are sick and tired of having their elected officials ignore them and run roughshod over them. They’ve now got a president who apologizes to the world for all the sacrificing they’ve done over the past 6 decades. They’ve gave their blood to make them free and money to sustain them and now their president calls them arrogant. It’s probably been over 200 years since Conservatives rose in righteous indignation like this and politicians can’t handle it.

Yeah Bob, I know, older Americans are the mainstay of this thing but you know how when ya get to that certain age, you get pretty damned violent when the fiber isn’t *working*…

It is time that the politicians remember who they work for. They think they are the boss. They work for us. And their bosses are starting to chew them a new one.

Here’s something interesting Vilmar posted on Gene Green from Texas’s 29th district. He’s against providing photo ID for elections but requires it to attend his town hall meetings.

DEMS HATE VOTER ID…..UNTIL THEY DEMAND IT FOR TOWN HALL MEETINGS
