Hutchison: Perry’s tactics tough on her campaign
JUSTIN, Texas — Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison offered what appeared to be her first acknowledgment that Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perry has done some damage to her bid to unseat him by successfully casting her as a Washington insider.

Trailing in the polls with less than a week before the March 2 primary, Hutchison assessed the state of her campaign and Perry’s anti-Washington tactics to The Associated Press on Tuesday.

“It definitely has made it more difficult for me. I didn’t think that people would buy that because I’ve been so effective for Texas,” Hutchison told the AP on her campaign bus. “I didn’t think that anyone could turn my success in producing results for Texas into a negative, but I think that he has attempted to do that and that is what I’ve been having to fight against.”

In the interview, Hutchison talked up her own record of bringing federal dollars to Texas and said she’s working hard to turn out grass-roots supporters to boost her into an April 13 runoff with Perry.

Is Kay Bailey Hutchison crying *calf rope*? Some folks here in Texas seem to think so!

For those not familiar with Texas Speak, crying calf rope means the same thing to Texans that cry uncle does everywhere else. It’s a sign of surrender from your opponent, of having given up.

KBH sounds a bit down to me in this article, she sounds like she knows she’s been had. She sounds like she has gone defensive, and defensive does not win elections or battles, in many cases, one in the same!

KBH goes on to say this:

“I have protected Texas,” she said. “I’ve voted with Texas values. … I’m not Washington - I’m Texas.”

Once upon a time there was a lady named Kay Bailey Hutchison that was considered to be The Queen of Texas. She was the belle of the ball, the toast of the state and Texans all over were in love with her. Today, not so much.

I am of the belief that the KBH of today really is a Washington insider. I am going to present MY case and you, the reader, can make up your mind and form your own opinion.

The first piece of evidence I am going to post is this: Kay Bailey Hutchison admits to mistake supporting bank bailout. KBH DID vote for the 1st bailout, the BUSH Bailout, and she has been soundly taken to task over it by Conservatives here in Texas. So, what does she do? Political spin SHE blames HER vote on Rick Perry. :?

Then there was this little gem: Hutchison irks right by including gay judge as U.S. attorney pick. Kay, can you really say that was a Conservative move? A homosexual judge? For crying out loud, that’s a play right out of the DNC playbook! A move to BIG TENT politics.

And who can forget this one? Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison is CAGW’s October Porker of the Month. I know KBH may want us to forget it, but it’s just NOT going to happen. I made a vow to blast Kay *Bailout* Hutchison at every opportunity, this is one OF those opportunities! And then we have this little fact to consider, Hutchison was the 2nd place finisher as CAGW’s Porker of the Year, finishing behind Barney Frank. SOURCE

San Diego students storm offices after noose found

San Diego students storm offices after noose found

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Anger boiled over on the University of California San Diego campus Friday, where students took over the chancellor’s office for several hours to protest the hanging of a noose in a campus library.

Students wearing red handkerchiefs over their faces blocked the doors to Chancellor Marye Anne Fox’s offices for hours, while more students inside chanted “Real pain, real change.”

They left the office peacefully at sundown, about the same time that leaders of the university’s Black Student Union ended talks with administrators in a nearby conference room over demands that include more boosting the African-American curriculum and campus activities. A university spokesman, Jeff Gattas, said there were no arrests and no property was damaged during the takeover.

The noose found dangling from a light fixture on the seventh floor of Geisel Library on Thursday night was the latest in a string of racially charged incidents in the university community, authorities said Friday. Less than two weeks ago, an off-campus party mocking Black History Month ignited racial tensions.

You have got to be kidding me, THIS is the cause of a racially charged incident?

I can see how it might be the source of some racial tension if there was an effigy attached, one that may be of a particular ethnicity, and yeah, if there had actually been a body attached to the noose, of a particular ethnicity, that too would qualify as a racially charged incident.

But this was over a noose. Just a plain old noose.

A University of California statement said a student admitted she and two other people were responsible. The statement did not identify the students or their race or include a motive.

In a news conference Friday afternoon, Fox said the student has been suspended but declined to discuss her motive or other students involved.

Motive? Are they serious? These are college kids, probably Frat or Sorority kids. They don’t need a motive, all they need is an idea and an opportunity. Unless, unless I say, unless they are members of The Old South Fraternity, Kappa Alpha.

Everyone knows what an EVIL bunch of racists KA is. :?

RINOS CIRCLING THE WAGONS AGAINST TEA PARTY!

February 26th, 2010 . by TexasFred

RINOS CIRCLING THE WAGONS AGAINST TEA PARTY!

From my good friend, Angry White Dude, we get this very timely, and much needed dose of HARD TRUTH!

The Republican Civil War continues with wussypants Republicans choosing sides with either the Tea Party movement or the Republican establishment. Earlier this week, Mitt Romney (see ya!) joined Sarah Palin (see ya!) to endorse the Great Arizona RINO John McCain. These politicians apparently have not been watching what happened in NY 23 or what is happening in Florida. The Tea Party scuttled RINO leftist Republican Dede Scozzafava’s hopes of voting with the Democrats by supporting conservative Doug Hoffman. In Florida, conservative Marco Rubio has come from being 30 points down to Florida RINO Governor Charlie Crist only a few months ago to now poll 14 points ahead. Rumor has it Crist is about to run as an Independent since he knows he is toast. All due to the Tea Party movement! Look for more RINO losers to switch to the Democrats or run as Independents as the Tea Party runs them out of the party.

Today, former Minnesota RINO Tim Pawlenty also endorsed McCain. It’s appropriate because they have much in common. Neither one will ever be President! AWD never trusts ANY politician who comes from socialist states. Minnesota tops that list closely followed by Massachusetts. No matter how tough they talk, you can bet they have breathed too much of that socialist air. Pawlenty is that guy. So is Romney. It appears so is Palin.

The RINOs are betting the Republican establishment will either overpower or co-opt the tea party movement. Neither will happen. While totally grassroots, the tea party has a few things the Republicans lack. Momentum, guts, principles and votes! The Republican elite are the same as they’ve always been. Drunk on power and ready to sell their souls to stay in office. The tea party’s motives are pure. We see the Republican RINO establishment nearly as big an enemy as the Democrat socialists. The wussypants RINOs are merely enablers. Put the RINOs in charge and the government will continue to spend us into oblivion…only at a slightly slower pace.

Wussypants RINOs are making a huge mistake by underestimating the Tea Party movement. Palin, Romney, Pawlenty or any other seeking to curry favor with the good ol’ boys in Washington by endorsing the RINOs are committing political suicide. It’s a good thing. The Republican party needs a good bloodletting. RINOs must be thrown from the Republican party. We will accept only principled leaders…not unprincipled politicians!

Goodbye Tim Pawlenty. I’m glad we didn’t have to suffer through more of your RINO shenanigans!
