FBI Arrests Man Accused in Dallas Skyscraper Bomb Plot

A Jordanian citizen was arrested Thursday and charged with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction on a Dallas skyscraper, the FBI office said.

Hosam Maher Husein Smadi, 19, was arrested near Fountain Place, a 60-story glass office tower located at 1445 Ross Avenue in downtown Dallas, where he placed an inactive car bomb, investigators said.

Evidently there are Wells Fargo Bank offices in the building and Smadi was out to target that bank, according to an arrest affidavit.

Investigators said Smadi was in the U.S. illegally and lived and worked in Italy, Texas, which is about 45 miles south of Dallas. He has been the focus of an undercover FBI investigation and under continuous surveillance since undercover agents discovered him in an online group of extremist.

Undercover FBI agents made more than 60 communications with Smadi since early March. During those interactions Smadi made his intentions clear of acting as a solider for Osama Bin Laden and al Quaida in conducting a violent Jihad, according to an arrest affidavit.

Smadi initially wanted to target a North Texas airport, according to the arrest affidavit. On July 16 he contacted one of the undercover FBI agents and said he changed his mind about the target.

They are HERE, they walk among us, and they are not here to have a cheeseburger!

The 1st thing I have to say is; JOB WELL DONE to the FBI, and a huge THANK YOU for doing your job and stopping this piece of garbage from putting his plan into action.

Now I have to wonder, how long it’s going to be before someone in Eric Holders office calls for a full and in-depth investigation of the FBI?

There’s no way they could have done this great piece of work without using some kind of illegal interrogation methods. Is there? Surely they violated the rights of this 19 year old Jordanian. He was bound to have been simply misunderstood, and was coerced into some type of nefarious activity by those wicked FBI agents. Right?

And I have to wonder, how long it will be before Barack Hussein Obama makes another World Apology Tour? Traipsing to every Muslim nation on earth and telling the world how sorry he is that this young Jordanian was violated by our nasty old FBI agents.

Yes, those last 2 paragraphs are sarcasm. But it sure seems like the guys that are charged with the job of keeping this nation safe have a heck of a lot of restraints placed on them, and their methods of doing business. It sure appears to me that the foreign bad guys, the terror specialists that are intent on killing us, have a lot more rights and freedoms than we do according to the Obama administration and AG Eric Holder.

Unless, oh, be still my heart, since the FBI falls under the supervision OF the DOJ, and Eric Holder, as Attorney General, is the head of the DOJ, well, maybe the fix is already in.

You know how it goes. Once in a while they make a sacrifice, just to keep things on the up and up. A lot like the drug cartels that give up a $1 million shipment of cocaine in order to slip a $50 million dollar shipment right by the very drug check that is occupied with the $1 million bust. Same deal, DOJ allows the FBI a freebie on prosecution and makes themselves look good in the process.

Holder can crow about the fine job that HIS FBI agents did, Obama can crow about the fine job his AG did in directing this special operation in the arrest of the Jordanian, and the CIA can still be investigated, and prosecuted, for using a few relatively harmless interrogation techniques on some Islamic scumbag that wants to blow up another building and kill a lot of Americans.

That’s the way it works now a days boys and girls. Welcome to the Wonderful World of Obama.

In any case, ALL sarcasm aside, I am happy that the FBI got this guy. And I hope they aren’t really facing the scenario I have described.

You are right Fred, they are here. Look at who is at the UN. With Obama in the White Mosque (Not White House anymore), the terrorists are like kids in a candy store.
I pray for our country and fellow Americans. God Bless America.

Comparing what BHO had to say as opposed to Netanyahu today, I think I’d feel safer in Israel.

Thank God the FBI isn’t afraid to do their job. But I’m in line with you alls thinking… will it last? Will the FBI get punked next by our POTUS and his cronies.

Your sarcasm Fred could very well turn out to be the truth—if the FBI made one misstep in the process leading to the arrest this man will be set free—doesn’t matter that he is guilty as hell and sadly the limp dicks on the far left will cheer when that happens. And the smallest(started to say biggest, but thought better) limp dick of them all will say at that time “American did the right thing and we should be proud of our system”. Yep, Mr. Obama anytime a potential mass murderer walks away its a great day for someone, but not for America.

Would you believe the little bastard is only 19 years old! Darn good eduction he got in the local madrasa. Darn! How many more of these scummy jerks populate our breathing space? While THE ONE is kissing the asses of our enemies and telling the Israelites to let the camel have the tent.

Fred would you believe this PhD misspelled “education.” I’m so mad I could spit and forget how to spell, too.

Holder will take one look at him & let him go. Only right-wingers are terrorists these days. Muslims are just misunderstood.

I think I hear the racist/oppressed/profiling/entrapment card about to be played. Just a gut feeling. There will be some sort of excuse to why this retard will get away with it. Not to mention the fact it was a farce to begin with. As I understand it Smadi the dipshit was the only one who thought the explosives were real. So it was only being carried out in his mind. Which is a good thing, but the intent was still there. It really needs to go a few steps further. Publicly convict this jerkoff then make him dig his own grave, kick in a pig or goat or whatever beast they consider as unholy and then kill him and dump him in. Televised so everyone can see. Let the holy jehad know that you don’t f with Texas. Just my opinion. Not fully awake yet.

This is one they knew about and caught. What concerns me is the ones they don’t know about yet. The ones that’s are living in your neighborhood, whose kids are going to school with yours, and their wives are shopping at the same markets and stores as your wife. You’re right, they’re here and have been here for a couple decades now.
