WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama’s chief political adviser says the president will focus on job-creating plans in his State of the Union address Wednesday night.
Strategist David Axelrod says the White House takes only “cold comfort” from the fact that the president’s stimulus program saved about 2 million jobs - given the millions lost in the deepest economic downturn in decades.
Axelrod says that the administration continues to share the public’s “consternation” with the financial sector, which was bailed out with public money and has returned to massive profits and huge bonus pay-outs.
Axelrod spoke Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

I can’t help but think that JOBS should have been the most important thing on the Obama agenda from his very 1st day in office.
I can’t help but think that instead of placing a tax cheat in charge of the IRS, placing an avowed communist as a White House Council, instead of placing an admitted pervert as the Director of the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools, handing BILLIONS of our tax dollars to auto makers, instead of traipsing off to try and win the Olympics for YOUR home town, and failing in that effort, I personally would think that JOBS for Americans that desperately need them would be the very 1st thing that any DECENT President would have addressed.
But, we’re not talking about a DECENT American POTUS, we’re talking about Barack Hussein Obama. A man that has rapidly shown all but his most ardent (brain washed?) supporters that he really is the most incompetent President in modern American history!

Wal-Mart cuts about 11,200 Sam’s Club staffers
NEW YORK (AP) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc. will cut about 11,200 jobs at Sam’s Club warehouses as it turns over the task of in-store product demonstrations to an outside marketing company.
The move is an effort to improve sales at Sam’s Club, which has underperformed the company’s namesake stores in the U.S. and abroad.
The cuts represent about 10 percent of the warehouse club operator’s 110,000 staffers across its 600 stores. That includes 10,000 workers, mostly part-timers, who offer food samples and showcase products to customers. The company also eliminated 1,200 workers who recruit new members.
Employees were told the news at mandatory meetings on Sunday morning.

Here’s what I believe Barack Hussein Obama is going to do about JOBS in America. He is going to do exactly what he has always done!
He’s going to make excuses, he’s going to spin, he’s going to LIE, he’s going to make flowery speeches to a hostile nation and he’s going to sound like a man NOT holding the most powerful office on earth, but one that sounds like a candidate FOR that office. Obama always sounds like he’s running for office.
He’s going to talk about HIS vision, HIS plan for America, HIS agenda. He’s going to throw anyone he feels not 100% in support OF him under the proverbial bus.
Barack Hussein Obama is going to run this nation into the ground!
He will do so using all of the political and business acumen of a Chicago community organizer and 1st term Senator that never did a thing other than show up on occasion and vote present! He will do so because he is an individual that has never held a real JOB in his life. He will do so because he, Barack Hussein Obama, has been Peter Principled.
The bailouts that Obama and Company foisted off on us were supposed to stop the rise in unemployment, stop the job losses, and hold unemployment at UNDER 8%. Levels are at an admitted 10%, and if the full truth were known, they are quite likely at least 3 or 4 percentage points higher than that!
Barack Hussein Obama is a spoiled man-child. He was the chosen one for many years yet he doesn’t have the mental acuity to pull it off. That makes him a very dangerous individual! He is a danger to every man, woman and child in America.
The numbers aren’t going his way, the Congress and Senate aren’t going his way, the SCOTUS isn’t going his way and even the Dems are beginning to feel some serious buyers remorse!
That makes for a dangerous animal my friends! We can only hope that the powers that be can keep him caged until he can be removed. And we have to hope that the military and police officers of this nation will honor their oath to defend against ALL enemies, both foreign and domestic.
Right now, our biggest threats sit in the Oval Office, the Speakers Chair of the House and in the seat of Senate Majority leader!
One other thing he’s going to do Fred and that’s blame Bush.
Democrats have been going after Wal-Mart for quite a while now. I guess they can finally be happy as Wal-Mart is now eliminating jobs.
They’er already blaming the GOP as of the TV this morning.
They had some nimrod on there saying that the messiah “WANTED” to meet with them on making and saving jobs, but they were a party of NO. (quit your laughing)
Now, was that creating GOVERMENT jobs to handle his healthcare scam??? As BobF states, that will be the first thing out of his pink mouth….. and he’ll want to make it “PERFECTLY CLEAR”, he inherited this mess from the previous administration. Bullllllllshit !!!!!!!!

Obama will try and detract us, yes, smoke and mirrors and speeches, while he tells Reid and Pelosi to pass the health bill NOW.

I was still having a hard time sitting and typing at the time but still have some notes on it, though I didn’t post about it.
I had a job when Obozo was elected, tow months later I didn’t have one and haven’t had one since. ANYONE with half a brain knows that the Spendfest and unprecedented increase in the deficit is what has unemployment at record levels. Vilifying the companies that create the jobs is not an answer either! But Obozo doesn’t have common sense, only an extremist agenda!!! Man they need to “clean the White House and Congress” out!

Obama has been in campaign mode from the moment he took his hand from the Bible-it was a Bible wasn’t it! It will increase in intensity now that his numbers are dropping in all quarters, all quarters except the “Black Quarter”. There his numbers will remain strong until he is removed from the American scene.
I’ve stocked up on koolaid for Wednesday night and will need it in preparation for that horrible picture of him behind his TOTUS with his two henchmen providing the backdrop for that hideous scene.
I’m braced for a long rambling speech with many “I’s”, “Me’s” ,”My’s” and “Mine”s” as this aggorant SOB continually pats himself on the back and point the finger of blame at others. It will be a long, long hour.
You are right Fred the man is becoming more dangerous as his scheme is rejected by many more American each day. I suspect powerful eyes are watching his every move—I certainly hope so.
By the way, if you think WalMart laying off employees right now is an “accident”… well I don’t. The left wing CEO is most likely send the Obozo admin a message.
I do think Fred and Fox are spot on. Obozo is a Narcissistic puke, and rejection will be met with punishment of the American people. Do you realize that SMALL businesses comprise 50% or better of American enterprise employment? Ever remotely grasped the concept of regulation REDUCTION and other business INCENTIVES?

Therefore, your “jobs program” will be comprised of NOTHING but MORE spending! And it will be an abysmal FAILURE.

BZ, he has no understanding of basic economics whatsoever. The only jobs he created, or saved were in government, or for government. yes,they are doing things like rebuilding I 90 near me, but? Non Union contractors need not apply. Can you say payback? Not to mention that they are using all this as cover to sneak through an amnesty bill…
And the list just goes on…
The only jobs that I see the Great One ( Obama ) has created are all the Czars he has placed in office. I lost my $40 an hour job last October….but I found a part-time job making $10 an hour now…so something is better than nothing. It now takes me over a month to make what I made in one week.
Obviously we need to put a MUCH bigger focus on elementary education. Where they learn the meaning of two words. Wealth redistribution.
He said it over and over and over during his campaign. It has such a simple meaning and yet people voted him in and now wonder why their wallets are hemorrhaging. He was dead honest (probably the only time) of what he was going to do. Take your money and go for bigger and more expensive government. He told us……why were so many people so stupid not to listen?

You WILL have it and you WILL pay for it….and if you do not have a job…well that is not his problem. He has everything back-asswards.
