Man wounded in Tucson shooting arrested at meeting
A victim in the mass shooting north of Tucson attending a special town hall today was arrested after his outburst at another man who spoke in support of gun ownership.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said it arrested Eric Fuller, 63, who was wounded in the knee a week ago in the shooting rampage that killed six and wounded 13. He was being held Saturday for alleged threats of intimidation and disorderly conduct and will undergo a mental-health evaluation.
The incident took place near the end of a taping of ABC’s weekly “Town Hall” with news anchor Christiane Amanpour.
The program, which airs Sunday and is called “Tragedy in Tucson: An American Conversation Continued,” reunited many victims, initial responders to the shooting scene and witnesses. Open to the public, the forum at a Catholic church was designed to promote conversation and healing a week after the grocery-store shooting.

But…wait. I thought the TEA Party, Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck were the evil Jedi mind masters in this tragedy? I thought their followers, and Conservative NRA members were the cause of hatred, death, threats and other assorted acts of random violence?
Say? You don’t suppose that this J. Eric Fuller is a secret fan of Palin and got his *make a threat* order from some super-secret mind control project do you?
According to the story, Fuller is in custody and will undergo a mental-health evaluation. I think that is a very good thing to have happen, because we ALL know, SANE people do NOT make a threat against the life of another human being.
I also wonder? Since this Fuller guy is a fairly libber activist in the Tucson area, if he is found to be mentally unstable, will the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, and their marvelously efficient Sheriff, Clarance Dupnik, think the threats and mental instability serious enough to place Fuller on the list of people that don’t need to own a gun? Or, will it be swept under the table until Fuller snaps and carries through on his threat?
Much as it was when the threat was Jared Loughner?

You might be seeing a lot of Eric Fuller over the weekend. He’s one of the people injured in Jared Loughner’s shooting rampage, taking rounds in the knee and back. Boehner apparently inspired a murderous rampage by gently taking that gavel from Nancy Pelosi’s hands.
Fuller’s emergence as a beeping smoke detector amid the right-wing haze of the “Climate of Hate” has already drawn praise from Soros operative Eric Bohlert, who issued a Twitter taunt to Michelle Malkin and Andrew Breitbart: “Countdown to smearing wounded veteran from Tucson massacre begins… now.” Gosh, I hope Michelle and Andrew don’t mind if I go first. Ladies and Gentlemen, there are many mentally ill, mentally unstable, crazy, whatever you care to call them, there are many among us that are NOT playing with a full deck. Eric Fuller is one of those individuals.
Fuller then swiveled in his chair, raised his camera and took a photo of the pro-gun speaker, muttering, “You’re dead,” according to Joel Tranter, who was sitting behind him.
“I told him, ‘You need to be respectful. You need to calm down,’” Tranter said. “He said, ‘What’d you do, vote for this guy?’”
As police officers approached to escort Fuller outside, he turned and shouted at the audience: “You whores!”
That is the open rantings of an unhinged leftist. He’s threatening someone that had nothing to do with the shootings in Tucson. Didn’t he hear the campaign speech, uh, sorry, the call for unity and the words of wisdom and condolences spoken by Barack Obama at the recent memorial service?

I think he response during the shootins says all we need to know about him. While there were heroes who came to the aide of the victime, this man ran and hid until he felt it was safe. Now he is trumpeting the virtues of gun control. You are right, the left will embrace this man and use him to pass their agenda.

I’m wondering if he was even shot with the others? During the week, HE was the one who said he was hit by a bullet. Since he didn’t have medical training, HE says HE walked to his car and drive himself to a hospital. With all that was taking place, why would he just casually walk to his car and drive himself to a hospital? Wouldn’t getting shot in the knee make walking quite difficult? I would think a person would lay there and wait for medical help. If he was shot, I’m wondering if he didn’t shoot himself? He wouldn’t be the first person in history to shoot, stab, or maim himself to gain notoriety. Being a “shooting victim” gives him moral superiority and notoriety; that’s what he wants.

I know that people shot in the kneecap are in excruciating pain, uh, so I am told… I guess it would depend on how the bullet actually hit his knee, if it really DID hit his knee…

I have no idea how I would have responded in the situation in Arizona, but I’d like to think I would have stayed and at least tried to help others. If his wounds (knee and back) were insufficient to immobilize him, then he could have helped others despite what was going on. Lord knows that plenty of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan wounded severely hung around to help their buds. Many earning high quality medals and some posthumously having died from their wounds while trying to help others.
I suspect that he was a self serving individual. I’ve known a few true heroes with full blown PTSD cowering at the sound of helicopters, diving in the ditch when they hear a car backfire etc. This fella is no where near their league.

Fred, even if it took place like Fuller says it did, he’s a flaming yellow-bellied coward. You don’t have to have medical training to assist anyone who’s been injured. By his own words, he showed complete disregard for the others who’ve been wounded and thought only to save his sorry butt. This guy is a masterpiece of depravity and a waste of human flesh.
I note that the mainstream media doesn’t know how to spin this story. Yet.

THIS, in today’s Traitor Times, is too much! The Left is still beating the same tired drum about the Tucson shootings. I call that perserverating, a sign of the mentally retarded and/or the insane.
This is another Leftists who may or may not have actually been shot. This “wound” may be valid as a bullet path through tissue only or a laceration/abrasion he received to his knee, in the process of diving to the ground. If one actually receives an injury to one’s knee that does more than shallow tissue damage — and anyone involved in sports injuries knows that the knee is an incredibly-complicated joint supporting enormous directional pressures — one finds it first very painful, and two, likely to require intense repair and potential lengthy recovery times. If seriously injured, he would not have been able to ambulate to his car nor walk to the program. Therefore:
I want to know how this man got to the program; did he drive, was he driven, is he wearing a brace? What is the nature of his injury?
With all the heated rhetoric proffered by the Leftists recently, I would not put it past a SINGLE individual such as this character to CLAIM he was present and injured by a gunshot when he MAY have been present yet received an injury to his knee when falling, or not been present at all and, in the bedlam, standing to proclaim his 5-seconds of agenda’d victimization.
No matter how this plays or lies, the man is a shill and every bit as reprehensible as those who sought to take political advantage of a disgusting shooting at the hands of a deranged young man. In addition, he spouts VIOLENT words on TV, in public, is arrested, and is not excoriated throughout the DEM/MSM? That in itself bespeaks volumes!

I heard on FOX today that prior to shooting - he was spouting off craziness and picked a fight with some Marine that was there.
Then he goes to this other meeting - spouted off more craziness - snapped a photo of a Tea Party speaker with his cell phone chanting “you’re dead”.
He might be just as crazy as the dude that shot up the 19. I hope this arrest and psych evaluation they made him do KEEPS him from legally purchasing a gun! I think somebody needs to keep an eye on this moonbat!
