Mexico shootout suspects tied to cartel

January 9th, 2008 . by TexasFred

MEXICO CITY - Three U.S. residents and seven others linked to the powerful Gulf drug cartel were arrested following a deadly shootout just across the border from Texas, Mexican officials said Tuesday.

The gunfire, which left three people dead, broke out around noon Monday when Mexican federal agents chased a van full of people carrying assault weapons in the town of Rio Bravo, across the border from Donna, Texas, according to a government statement.

The army and federal police sent reinforcements after the suspects took shelter and began detonating grenades, Federal Public Safety assistant secretary Jose Patricio Patino told reporters Tuesday.

“The armed group that clashed with federal agents yesterday belonged to a cell of the Gulf cartel,” Patino said.

Witnesses described a frightening scene with gunmen breaking down doors and positioning themselves inside homes for the gunbattle, which took place in front of the Rio Bravo police station, The McAllen Monitor reported.

Where did this take place?? Just across the border from Donna, TX., right down there in the heart of the Rio Grande valley.

And how long do you think it’s going to be before these things spill over onto the U.S. side of the border and it’s OUR people being placed in danger by these drug cartels that seem to think that they are above the law?? It’s only been by the grace of God that it hasn’t happened already.

And our borders are STILL pretty much wide open, and who do we thank for that?? Other than George ‘I never met a wetback I didn’t like’ Bush?

Why, the most legendary Lady Lawmaker in Texas history, none other than Miss Kay Bailey Hutchison herself, Immigrant Dream Act Fails Key Senate Vote.

In one vote Miss Kay went from being the toast of Texas to being the trashiest and most talked about, back stabbing turncoat in modern Texas history.

Some Texans didn’t see this story I guess, I was over at Bloviating Zeppelin the other day and saw where one of his readers, a feeble minded old bat that relies on bloggers to give her the news I guess, well, anyway, she was totally shocked that this had happened and she was gonna fire off a nasty letter to Miss Kay ASAP, well over 2 months after the fact, that oughta be pretty effective, don’t you think?

All B.S. aside, we are looking at open warfare on the Texas border every day, and I am pretty sure it’s no better on the New Mexico, Arizona and California borders, although I don’t have any 1st hand knowledge there, but I do know this, the gun battles are coming, fully automatic weapons in the hands of the bad guys, grenades and grenade launchers and they don’t care WHO they kill if they have to fight their was out of an arrest, and for the record, all the gun laws in the world won’t stop this, so any gun grabber that thinks he can insert his libber view of gun laws can just save his time typing and my time deleting, I won’t even attempt to debate anyone foolish enough to come to my blog and talk about this nation needing more gun laws.

We don’t have a President that will protect the USA, we have Senators that shirk their duty to those that elected them, we are being given away wholesale, not just part and parcel, this nation IS being undermined by it’s elected leaders, and I cringe to call Bush a LEADER, he is anything but a leader, but for lack of a better terminology, our leader, Pres. George Bush is off pandering to Palestinians and other assorted Arab trash, trying to make peace in the mid-east, to hell with us here at home, forget all the ILLEGALS that are constantly pouring over the border, never mind the cartels that are a clear and present danger to innocent Americans, men, women and children, just ignore the damage being done to our tax base and the infrastructure of this nation by the INVADERS from the south and the strain the Bush Debacle in Iraq has caused, obviously it’s a lot more important to the Bush administration to kiss and make up with the Palestinians than it is to actually secure our own borders and protect our own people.

Ya know, I hate to think of the carnage that a cartel vs police gun battle on this side of the border would bring but I’ll bet you dollars to doughnuts that even if it did happen the Bush administration would look away, say it was a state problem or call it a minor indiscretion.

I’ve often heard that an ounce of prevention was worth a pound of cure but given the ass backwards ways of the sitting POTUS, I seriously doubt he’d even remotely grasp that little tidbit of wisdom.

Gun laws? The only new gun laws that need to be put in place are the ones REQUIRING everyone to honor the second amendment.

    I know, I know - it’s just a pipe dream.

    Fred,

Sadly I fear that if things continue they way they are it will take a major epidemic or hundreds dead in a single gun fight before the MSM says, hey there might be a problem here and pushes the government does something to protect this nation. From my guesstimate the body count has to be in the 1000’s already, when you count rapes, murders, assaults on children, TB (and the rest of the plague brought with them), death due to drugs …..

After typing out that list, could the body count be in the 10’s, 100’s of thousands????

Even the bed bug epidemic, the MSM has touched on it, but I have yet to see a call for figuring out why all of these biological issues (including disease) are coming back after being virtually extinct.

I was shocked to learn that many border jumpers never make it because of bad people waiting in hiding to kill them and take their stuff. The border patrol in many cases, are going out on a limb to help these illegal’s by protecting them from the highjackers, then sending them back home.

Does the name Ramos & Compean ring a bell? That’s what happens to police and border patrol agents who battle drug runners coming into the United States from Mexico. GW’s good friend, Johnny Sutton, will send them to a Federal Penitary.

Fred, I can write the headlines when American cops armed with semi-auto handguns and shotguns locked in their cars come across Mexican assholes with grenades and fully automatic weapons:

U.S. COPS MURDER MEXICAN IMMIGRANTS ATTEMPTING TO FLEE BACK TO THEIR COUNTRY

Then, of course, the involved officers won’t be prosecuted by the particular state; oh no. They’ll have the FED step in with a (which, by the way, PAYS attorneys to prosecute on a) 18 USC 1983 action, a very generic “deprivation of civil rights” suit. How do I know? Been there, done that, got the T-shirt and, more importantly, the JACKET.

Mark my words, sir, mark my words.
