The Essence Of Obama by Jim Cash

Monday, April 21st, 2008

First, Obama refused to display the American Flag on his lapel. Then, he refused to distance himself from his America hating, racist, and self promoting minister, the despicable Reverend Wright. Now, he is giving some lame excuse for not respecting and following proper protocol when our National Anthem is played.

That lame Obama excuse is, “as I have said before, I do not want to be perceived as taking sides”. Further, he says, “There are a lot o people in the world to whom the American Flag is a symbol of oppression. And, the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song—I’d like to teach the World to Sing—If that was our anthem, then I might acknowledge it”. I would sure like to know who he is afraid to take sides with.

This is the man who wants to become the Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces, leader of the free world, and role model to our children.

Please allow me to share with you the level at which our flag and anthem is honored on all our military bases. First, the flag is never displayed at night unless properly lighted. Early in the morning after sunrise, every military installation in the nation has a ceremony as the flag is hosted. Prior to sunset, a similar ceremony is performed where the flag is brought down, and folded with great care, then stored for the night. It is never allowed to touch the ground. These ceremonies are conducted by impeccably dressed uniformed personnel and accompanied by appropriate music. During the ceremony all traffic on base is brought to a halt, again, in honor of the flag. When the flag becomes old and faded, it is retired with ceremony, and burned. Military personnel love the flag, as it is a symbol of our country, and that is what they have taken an oath to defend—to their deaths.

Military personnel, both active and retired, stand and salute the flag as it passes by. I have seen wheel-chair bound vets struggle to stand when the flag passes by. The same respect is paid when our National Anthem is played. Sometimes, I wonder if our military members are the only America loving group left in this country. Berkley, you should truly be ashamed!!!!

I am sure you can imagine how veterans feel when an America hating, low life individual is allowed to burn the flag, or spit on it, or stomp on it with dirty feet. But, can you imagine how they will feel watching their Commander-in-Chief degrade it, refuse to honor it, and even change our National Anthem to, “I’d like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony”???

How can we justify supporting a man who has spent over two decades attending a church, whose minister instead of proclaiming, “God-Bless America” in front of our children, shouts, “God-Damn America” over and over. Does anyone out there really believe that Obama did not know what was going on in that church? TO DENY IS TO LIE!!! Both right and left all know deep down that he is very good at that.

Never in my life did I think I would look at Hillary Clinton with any kind of positive thought. However, it appears that there is a group of people in this country so ill informed, so blinded by charisma, so deaf to nonsense, that they will support a far-left, anti-American, silver-tongued, foolish man with a Socialist agenda like Barrack Hussein Obama. He makes Hillary Clinton appear angelic. I realize that she is obsessed with winning and totally self-serving also, but I have never heard her say, or do, anything that leads me to believe she hates this country, or openly displays obvious racist tendencies.

However, I have heard Obama say several times that, “We live in the greatest nation in the world, and I am going to change it”. Again, my question is, “what does he mean by change? What is he going to change it to?”

I somehow understand the youth of America being taken in by a young, black, silver-tongued, motivational speaker. Their experience is limited, and their attitudes will change as their life progresses, and they feel the sting of a burn or two. However, I have no patience at all with mature Americans who seemingly cannot think their way out of a paper bag. I am speaking of those who go to rallies and act like groupies, applauding Obama when he blows his nose. FOLKS, WE MUST WAKE UP!!!!! There are good people out there who understand what I am talking about here, but they are remaining far too quiet.

It is time for these Americans to stand up for their Country, their Religion, and their Rights. No other nation on earth supports the standard of living that we experience in America. Every living, breathing, citizen of this country should say a little prayer each night recognizing how fortunate they are to have been born here. If we lose that standard, it will be lost because of the apathy of the American people.

George Bush has many faults, and has made many mistakes. However, it defies gravity to me that the far-left can profess such hate for Bush, and then show strong support for the likes of an Obama. Folks, if you think about it long, hard, and with focus, two plus two will normally make four. Another way to look at it is, if it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, it probably is a friggin’ duck.

Walking on the American Flag is NOT Art!

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

This is from my good friend Dr. Bill Smith at ARRA News Service - Walking on the American Flag is Art, please click the link, read the story, watch the video, get involved, don’t just sit back and take this kind of crap…

Bill Smith, Editor, Update on Story - Below is the video of the disgraceful flag desecration project. Watch a heroic veteran take a stand. As a veteran - I was moved to tears. I located and interviewed the veteran. He is Charlie Bennett, Dist 4 Commander, Maine American Legion. He is Vietnam veteran having served (1967-1979). For 11 1/2 months, he was on the Cambodian border with the 4th Infantry Division, U.S. Army. Bennett is a proud supporter of protecting the American Flag. He shared that he did not mind the criticism by campus officials and was proud to take a stand, but that he almost cried when the police indicated they were going to arrest him. He had always faithfully served his country and was hurt to think he would be arrested for protecting the American Flag. Commander Bennett has received numerous phone calls by people encouraging him to continue and has been called by the local news. He welcomes interviews and can be reached at 207-778-2340. As of this post, Charlie Bennett is returning to the front lines (the university) today but this time with his own “parade flag” and a sign that says ” You won’t walk on this flag!” We hope that many students and other veterans will stand with him. Charlie our prayers are with you!

Please pass this video and info on to others and contact the Univ. of Maine Farmington and express your outrage! The two of the persons in the video supporting the flag desecration project are are University leaders: the University’s President, Theodora Kalikow (the old “witch” who is seen telling Bennett that the project of walking on the flag is defending free speech) and the University’s Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, Allen Berger (the liberal educator who is seen telling Bennett that he (Bennett) didn’t fight for a piece of cloth). If Don’t expect agreement, but take time to express your Free Speech to Theodora Kalikow ([email protected] or 207-778-7256) and Allen Berger ([email protected] or 207-778-7276.

Much More Here:

Hillary Clinton is in town and in the course of getting her from place to place a Dallas Motorcycle Officer Injured Escorting Clinton To Rally, there’s no word on the officer’s identity or condition, but aerial video showed emergency medical technicians laboring to treat the officer on the Houston Street viaduct between the downtown and Oak Cliff sections of Dallas, we wish all the best to the officer and his family and pray for his safety…

UPDATE: FOXNews is now reporting the officer has died, still no identification of the officer, more info pending family notification… Rest in Peace…

Going to keep this one short due to the death of the Dallas PD officer, will follow with more details as available…

U.S. Guardsmen Get Prison for Helping to Smuggle Immigrants

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

LAREDO, Texas — Two Texas National Guardsmen must serve at least three years in federal prison for helping smuggle illegal immigrants from Mexico through a checkpoint.

Clarence Hodge Jr. and Jerry Zuniga pleaded guilty last August to charges of conspiracy to transport illegal immigrants during 2007. A federal judge in Laredo on Tuesday sentenced Hodge to 38 months in prison, and ordered 36 months in prison for Zuniga.

The smuggling ring was uncovered in June when 24 illegal immigrants were found inside a National Guard-leased van that was stopped about 90 miles (145 kilometers) southwest of San Antonio.

I hope I don’t make my secret admirer angry when I say this because it’s going to be ANTI towards these particular troops, not ALL troops, but ANTI against these 2 individuals, because you see, personally, I think it’s a damned shame they didn’t hang BOTH of the rotten bastards…

Every time I say something that’s not on the approved Bush Bot list of stuff that’s OK to say agenda my secret admirer gets all pissy and tries to post some tacky little comments on this blog, because I don’t follow the lockstep Republican mindset that says everything the troops do is 100% correct, and this is one of those cases, if those guys were helping ILLEGALS sneak into the USA, then they should have been charged with treason, they gave aid and comfort to enemies of this nation in time of war, enemies in the process of INVADING this nation, and if that isn’t treason, I don’t know what is…

Next time we have some troops dishonor themselves, their military, this nation and the people OF this nation, stand em up and put a round between their eyes, it’s cheap, it’s easy and there’s no housing costs for the traitorous SOB as he serves some pitifully short jail term…

Some Thoughts on a lazy Tuesday Afternoon

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

An era comes to an end, Fidel Castro Resigns As Cuba’s President, that guy has been a thorn in Americas side for as long as I can remember, I don’t remember hearing of the revolutionary talk when Castro took over, but I remember the fear that swept the nation during the Cuban missile crisis, we were living in New Orleans and there was almost a panic from many people…

(Pres) Bush, traveling in Rwanda, pledged to “help the people of Cuba realize the blessings of liberty.” But he implied that wasn’t likely under Raul Castro.

Bush can’t manage his own White House, and with a plate FULL of Iraq and Afghanistan he’d be well advised to leave Cuba alone for a while…

The Supreme Court rejected a challenge Tuesday to the Bush administration’s domestic spying program. Court Rejects ACLU Challenge to Wiretaps, this sitting court is the best thing to come out of the Bush administration, and as great an accomplishment as setting a conservative majority court was, rest assured that no matter who wins in November, the court will be the 1st order of business for them to destroy…

And in the continuing saga of ‘Mr. Bush seeks a legacy’, Bush: Darfur Crisis Needs to End, from the story, ‘The president said the U.S. is using sanctions, pressure and money to help resolve the Darfur crisis that Bush calls a genocide.’, our money, mostly given to the U.N., and then wasted by them as it does little, if any good, anywhere…

I guess Ol’ Emeril is gonna really learn how to cook now, Martha Stewart Buys Emeril Franchise, I can hardly wait, but seriously, if you’ve never had the opportunity to enjoy some of Emeril’s fine food, all I can tell you is, you have never tasted heaven…

U.S. Air Force officials are warning that unless their budget is increased dramatically, and soon, the military’s high-flying branch won’t dominate the skies as it has for decades. Air Force: We’re At The Breaking Point, B.U.F.F. has been up there since 1954, there are crews flying the very same B-52’s today that there fathers flew in years past, the Air Force needs some updating, and it needs it soon…

And last, but certainly not least, Iraq Orders Police to Round Up Beggars, The Iraqi Interior Ministry has ordered police to round up beggars, vagabonds and mentally disabled people from the streets of Baghdad to prevent them from being used by insurgents as suicide bombers, a spokesman said Tuesday.

I wonder where the human rights folks are going to have to say about this?? And just wondering, don’t the poor of Iraq have ‘rights’ too?? Can you see the ACLU and their reaction if this was tried here??

U.S. officials announced today that all homeless and mentally incapacitated persons would be rounded up and protected, for their own good of course, and an official speaking on conditions of anonymity said, “This is only being done in an effort to protect the citizenry and is in no way an effort to violate the rights of anyone”…

UhHuh, and I have some property you may be interested in too… :)

Monday’s News and Comments.

Monday, February 18th, 2008

I don’t know about anyone else but this flu bug that’s going around is a real pain, literally, it hurts, all over, and anyone that has had it knows what I’m talking about, and I had my flu shot too, but, as we are finding out, the Flu shot doesn’t protect from most viruses, now isn’t that just a dandy little tidbit??

And all the while, President Bush Touts U.S. Aid to Fight Malaria, AID, U.S. aid, that means money, our tax dollars folks, being sent to Africa to fight their maladies while right here in the USA we still have people dying that are sick, cold, hungry and/or homeless, but we just keep on pouring money into Africa, and a few other places…

I always heard it said that charity begins at home, maybe that’s an outdated thought in a One World Government

Look for fuel prices to do that ripple effect thing again, West Texas Oil Refinery Explodes, Injures 4 People, so far there are no reports of dead, I pray there’s not, but regardless, oil companies will make their money back if they feel they’ve lost any, and this will be looked at as a loss…

One thing I don’t understand though, oil companies are making record profits, BILLIONS in profits, that means money on the plus side, so WHY do we have to pay for a refinery when THEY blow one up?? Isn’t that just a part of the cost of doing business??

Then there’s the beef recall of meat that’s been long eaten, 143 million-pound beef recall, now I know that with current info this potential health problem can likely be headed off, for now, but what’s the point in scaring people by making the recall effective against meat products from 2006?? If that meat is still around, it NEEDS to be recalled but most, if not ALL of it has been cooked, eaten, digested and is long gone down a river somewhere…

Is there ANY doubt that the Clinton’s have a lot of ’stroke’ with the left leaning MSM?? Get a load of this, Bill Clinton vs. Anti-Abortion Activists, just click the link, the story was there, then *poof*, it was gone, I got the dreaded HTTP 403 - Forbidden

I wonder what happened to the writer OF the story??

Violence in Baghdad IS down but it’s NOT over, Rockets, Mortars Kill 4 in Baghdad, a few minutes ago I was talking to some Iraqi Vets that we’re working in their civilian jobs, they hadn’t yet heard the news story, and I asked them what they thought about this, and to a man the 1st question asked was, “Were any of the dead Americans??” and I told them no, indigenous population only this time and again, to a man their reactions were identical, “Well, as long as it wasn’t OUR guys, f*ck em”, and you know, that sort of sends some mixed signals about the overall reactions of the Iraqi mission from troops that have actually been there for more than a few days, and in a combat position rather than that of a “fobbit”, and I can offer no real proof to this hypothesis yet, but there seems to be a lot of fobbits named Johnny

And as all the good little Republicrats line up like the good little troops they are, Ex-President Bush backs McCain, now this didn’t come as a surprise to me, GHW Bush and McCain have a lot in common, both were Naval Aviators, and both crashed, McCain’s wife is a lot hotter though, in other words, nothing new here, just RINOs backing RINOs…

And lest we forget, today is Presidents Day, 100 years from now, if America still exists as a free nation, the people will look back on the last few years of American Presidents, shake their heads in disbelief, and will likely be asking themselves, ‘What were the people thinking when they elected those idiots?’

Happy Presidents Day, now go shopping and help turn the economy around…
