Voter Registration Fraud Uncovered

Evidence of apparent voter registration irregularities are found in Harris County. Samples of incomplete, inaccurate, or false voter registrations were unveiled by Harris County Voter Registrar Leo Vasquez.

The questionable voter registration applications, collected by a group operating under the name of Houston Votes, included voters that were already registered, applications submitted by the same voters, and applications with incomplete or erroneous information. Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector Leo Vasquez says representatives of Houston Votes assured him that the problems would be corrected, but were not.

“This amounts to over 5-thousand deficient voter registration applications which have inundated our office. Based on this performance pattern, we will be terminating a number of individuals from this volunteer deputy program.”

He says the pattern of the erroneous voter applications is serious.

“We have evidence indicating violations of the Texas election code, falsified documents being submitted to this governmental office, and possible violations of federal election laws.”

Vasquez says he is referring the irregularities along with associated documentation for investigation and possible prosecution to the Texas Secretary of State and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

“It is my sincere hope that this episode will bring more attention to the general public about the importance of voter registration. Hopefully, this will also spur legislation on both the federal and state levels, to put more teeth into election fraud penalties.”

It appears that Houston, we have a problem, may be more than just a catch phrase once again.

I told a fellow blogger the other day, “We get a few things wrong here in Texas, but we get a lot more RIGHT.” Well, I wasn’t taking Houston, and Harris County corruption into account when I made that statement.

I know, there’s going to be some that say, “Fred, ALL areas have corruption.” and you’d be right in that assumption I believe. I’m originally from Louisiana. Louisiana Politics runs Chicago a close 2nd on ways to flaunt corruption, but I think Harris County may have some folks that are just as creative and just as crooked as Chicago and Louisiana combined..

Here’s why I say that.

Fire destroys all Harris County voting machines

Harris County Clerk Beverly Kaufman Friday morning said she is confident of timely, clean elections in November, even after a fire that destroyed the county’s entire inventory of 10,000 electronic voting machines.

Kaufman urged voters to cast their ballots early to help the county cope with a possible shortage of equipment on election day.

“Because I don’t expect to have 10,000 pieces to work with, no matter what we do, I’m sure that we’re going to be putting on a full court press urging people to vote early,” Kaufman said.

Kaufman said she expected that the fire in a county warehouse in the 600 block of Canino, in north Houston, has destroyed $30 million worth of equipment and caused $10 million more in damage to the building.

Kaufman hopes to cobble together a collection of voting machines through loans from other counties and replacement equipment from its vendor, she said. All five members of Commissioners Court contacted her Friday morning to pledge their support in helping her with the resources needed to stage a successful election in which early voting begins in just 52 days, she said.

Normally, I’m not one that goes for conspiracy theories, but c’mon. This is pure coincidence?

Here’s even more citation to the story.

Grenade explosion injures 16 at Mexican bar

Grenade explosion injures 16 at Mexican bar

PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico (AP) - Mexican authorities say at least 16 people have been injured by a grenade that exploded at a bar in the resort city of Puerto Vallarta.

Jalisco state prosecutors say five of the injured have been detained as part of the investigation. Four of those detained each lost a leg in the explosion before dawn Thursday.

Prosecutors say they are investigating whether one of the injured was carrying the grenade when it exploded.

Jalisco state has seen a wave of drug violence in recent months and the bloodshed has intensified since drug kingpin Ignacio “Nacho” Coronel was killed by soldiers earlier this month. Coronel, whose base was in Jalisco, was the No. 3 of the Sinaloa drug cartel.

There’s hardly a day that goes by that we don’t see another story of horrific violence in Mexico.

Headless bodies, with the heads found nearby. Shootouts between the cartels and the police. Shootouts between the cartels, with innocent victims caught in the crossfire. Birthday parties ravaged by machine-gun fire because someone at the party happens to be a rival cartel member, but hey, they kill everyone AT the party just to be safe.

Federales and police implicated as gang members. Mexico frees ex-state police director in drug case. And you know, maybe he’s not guilty, but what if he is? And what if cartel money bought off the judge? Or death threats by the cartels influenced the judge?

And these are just the things that we know about. Yet our borders are still wide open.

I think most any REAL Conservative has seen the light regarding border security and how to bring it about. I say REAL Conservative simply because there are still a few that are FAUX conservatives, and they cling deeply to their not so distant past as flaming libbers.

Truth be known, they still are flaming libbers but they find a more sympathetic audience in the trusting and gullible Conservatives that are willing to accept them at their word while overlooking the deeper intricacies of the FAUX conservative writings.

America is only one bright idea away from falling into this very same 3rd world dung heap mentality. There are those in America that have bleeding hearts for the Mexicans, they see not one thing wrong with the invasion we are suffering, or the financial strain this infestation brings on the rest of America.

Those sympathetic bleeding hearts castigate men and women that speak up and DEMAND that our sovereign borders be secured and this nation protected in ANY manner necessary.

As I said, they still cling to their libber turned RINO mindset. And then we see this;

Car bomb explodes in Mexico where 72 bodies found

SAN FERNANDO, Mexico (AP) - Two cars exploded early Friday, in front of the offices of a major Mexican television station and a transit police station, in a northern state where officials are investigating the massacre of 72 Central and South American migrants.

There were no injuries in either explosion, though both caused some damage to buildings and knocked out the signal of the Televisa network for several hours in Ciudad Victoria, the capital of the drug gang-plagued state of Tamaulipas. The explosion outside Televisa was felt for several blocks.

Soldiers were blocking access to the building, Televisa said.

The network described the explosion as a car bomb, but an official with the state attorney general’s office couldn’t confirm the type of explosions, just that two cars caught fire and blew up. The official was not authorized to speak publicly about the incidents.

If confirmed, it would mean a total of four car bombs in Mexico this year - a new and frightening tactic in the country’s escalating drug war.

As GOP civil war rages, Democrats look to benefit

As GOP civil war rages, Democrats look to benefit

WASHINGTON (AP) - A Republican civil war is raging, with righter-than-thou conservatives dominating ever more primaries in a fight for the party’s soul. And the Democrats hope to benefit.

The latest examples of conservative insurgents’ clout came Tuesday at opposite ends of the country. In Florida, political newcomer Rick Scott beat longtime congressman and state Attorney General Bill McCollum for the GOP gubernatorial nomination. And in Alaska, tea party activists and Sarah Palin pushed Sen. Lisa Murkowski to the brink of defeat, depending on absentee ballot counts in her race against outsider Joe Miller.

As GOP civil war rages, Democrats look to benefit

A fight is being waged within the Republican Party. It’s a fight between REAL Republicans, the old fashioned Reagan Conservative Republicans, and the RINOs that have come to represent a party that is in severe need of a makeover.

The GOP has made it clear that they will blow smoke up the TEA Party’s skirt, use them if they can, and once elections are over, they plan to try and co-opt the TEA Party into being a wing of the GOP.

It’s just NOT going to happen that way folks.

There are multitudes of Conservatives out there in *I VOTE LAND* that are SO tired of the GOP, Michael Steele, the RNC, the RINOs, Graham, McCain, Murkowski, Snowe, Collins and so many others. I am happy to see that in many cases, REAL Republicans are replacing RINOs.

The GOP is likely to survive its bitter intraparty battles in such states as Alaska and Utah, even if voters oust veteran senators in both. But tea party-backed candidates might be a godsend to desperate Democrats elsewhere - in Nevada, Florida and perhaps Kentucky, where the Democrats portray GOP nominees as too extreme for their states.

Too extreme for America and their states? Or for the Dems and their game?

God, guns and guts is too extreme? Believing in God is too extreme? Standing up for the right to life of the unborn is too extreme? Wanting secure borders and wanting those in this nation that are not here legally removed? That’s too extreme for the Dems?

Do Americans, especially the Blacks of this nation, which do, by and large, vote Democratic, need to be reminded that it was the Democrats that started the Klan? It was the Democrats that sought at every turn to deny the Black man the right to vote? To be counted as a WHOLE person? Do the Dems REALLY want to go there regarding extremes?

If Murkowski joins Sen. Bob Bennett, R-Utah, as a victim of party activists who demand ideological purity, other Republicans are still likely to win in November, though Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., would have to deal with more maverick members who are loathe to compromise. And the conservative insurgency is hardly all-powerful, as Sen. John McCain proved by easily winning renomination in Arizona despite a challenge from the right by J.D. Hayworth.

As a victim of party activists who demand ideological purity‘ has a nice ring to it.

Compromise is OUT of the question! Compromise is what took America to the brink of disaster, the one that we are now facing in the person of Barack Hussein Obama.

Regarding Conservative insurgency and John McCain, all I can say to the GOP voters of Arizona is this; John McCain is nothing more than an ass-kissing RINO. He got all Conservative as soon as the election cycle started again, and you folks bought it. As soon as it’s over, he’ll go right back to being an ass-kissing RINO, writing bills with Feingold and the like, reaching across the aisle and siding with the Dems at every occasion.

Arizona, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

The White House has tried to link the Republican Party with the fledgling conservative-libertarian tea party coalition - and demonize the combination as too extreme for the country.

That’s “the Republican tea party” that’s “offering more of the past but on steroids” and is “out of step with where the American people are,” Vice President Joe Biden told the party’s rank and file last week.

Here we go with that too extreme stuff again. What, exactly, is too extreme?

Official: 72 found dead in Mexico may be migrants

Official: 72 found dead in Mexico may be migrants

MEXICO CITY – A survivor has told police that 72 people found dead at a ranch near the Mexican border with Texas were migrants kidnapped by an armed group, a federal official said Wednesday.

The bodies of 58 men and 14 women were discovered Tuesday when Marines manning a checkpoint on a highway in the northern state of Tamaulipas were approached by a wounded man who said he had been attacked by gang gunmen at a nearby ranch.

A federal official said that man had identified himself an illegal migrant. The man said he and other migrants had been kidnapped by an armed group and taken to the ranch in San Fernando, a town about 100 miles (160 kilometers) south of Brownsville, Texas, according to the federal official, who had access to the investigation. He spoke on condition of anonymity because the was not authorized to speak publicly about the case.

The official said police believe the migrants were mostly from Central America — a population that has been increasingly targeted by drug gangs who demand money from U.S.-bound foreigners or who kidnap them to claim ransoms from relatives in the United States or their home countries.

It’s all about perception.

Perception – noun
1. the act or faculty of apprehending by means of the senses or of the mind; cognition; understanding.
2. immediate or intuitive recognition or appreciation, as of moral, psychological, or aesthetic qualities; insight; intuition; discernment: an artist of rare perception.
3. the result or product of perceiving, as distinguished from the act of perceiving; percept.
4. Psychology . a single unified awareness derived from sensory processes while a stimulus is present.
5. Law . the taking into possession of rents, crops, profits, etc.

It’s ALL in how you look at it! :P

How many times have we heard those that support and defend the ILLEGALS that are flooding this nation and helping to further tank our economy say, “But they’re only seeking jobs and a new homeland. They only want to do the jobs that Americans won’t do.”

Well, it looks like the cartels are, in a ’roundabout way’, actually DOING the job that Americans won’t do. They are keeping a great many potential ILLEGALS out of the USA.

I can almost hear the cries of racist and bigot coming from Long Beach…

Investigators have not determined who was behind the massacre, but the federal official noted that the area is controlled by the Zetas drug cartel, which has diversified into kidnapping migrants.

I would say that Los Zetas would be an excellent place to start looking for suspects.

The scale of the massacre of migrants appeared to be unprecedented even by the gruesome standards of Mexican drug cartels.

Obviously, the cartels are stepping up their efforts to control their territory and instill fear in ANY that dare to cross paths with them. I include the Mexican government in that too. The cartels want the government to fear them, and indeed, I believe they do.

The newspaper Reforma, citing a police report, said that that the migrants were trying to reach the U.S. border and were killed when they refused to pay extortion fees demanded by the armed group. Reforma said the survivor was from Ecuador. The federal officials could not immediately confirm those details.

I don’t suppose it matters where they are from, they were headed to the USA, and were, pardon the pun, dead set on entering OUR nation illegally.

The Navy said it dispatched aircraft to check out the man’s report and when the gunmen saw the marines, they opened fire and tried to flee in a convoy of vehicles. One marine and three of the suspects were killed in the shootout.
