Issa: ATF Chief Should Go But Higher Ups Also Culpable
(CNSNews.com) – Amid reports that Kenneth Melson will be forced to resign as acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, a Republican congressman says “he should” lose his job.
Melson “was part of the bad judgment” ATF exhibited in allowing guns to be sold in the U.S. to people acting on behalf of Mexican criminals, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) told Fox & Friends Tuesday morning.
But the bad judgment attached to ATF’s “Operation Fast and Furious” goes higher than Melson, Issa said:
Attorney General Eric Holder “should have known – I believe it was his obligation to know” what was going on at ATF, Issa said. Holder wasn’t doing his job properly if he didn’t know, the congressman added.

A while back I was criticized by a former blogger because I used many different news sources. I was told that if I wanted to be taken seriously as a Conservative blogger that I *MUST* use FOX News and WorldNetDaily exclusively or my stories just wouldn’t carry the *weight* necessary to taken seriously.

Lately, even FOX News in avoiding a lot of the HOT topics, and WND is too far out there for my taste, and has had stories *blow up* on them when they were proven to be a lot less than accurate.
The mainstream media is avoiding the Fast and Furious debacle at every opportunity, they are giving Eric Holder and Barack Hussein Obama a wide berth on this story.
CNSNews.com is NOT, and neither am I.

I don’t know if they were just cruising blogs and reading, or, if as one of my LEO friends said, they were trying to send me a message, and engage in a bit of fear and intimidation tactics. I do know this; they spent 5 minutes and 21 seconds reading a post. Time stamps don’t lie.
Here’s the truth of the matter, if their visit was designed to intimidate, and to slow me down, or stop me from writing about Barack Hussein Obama and Eric Holder, and how the BATF has become a rogue agency, one that is evil and corrupt, they have struck out again.
I do NOT bow to intimidation tactics, from ANYONE!
And if the BATF doesn’t already have more than enough issues to deal with, now they have *Gay Pride*?

ATF Hosts Its First ‘Gay Pride’ Observance
(CNSNews.com) - The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), under fire for allowing U.S.-purchased guns to flow to Mexican criminals, celebrated its first gay pride event on Wednesday.
The celebration at ATF’s Washington headquarters was intended to recognize the “accomplishments and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans to ATF and the nation, and to promote awareness of the LGBT culture,” ATF said in a news release.
“ATF works to ensure sexual orientation discrimination and prejudice are not tolerated in our workplace,” said Acting Director Kenneth Melson. “ATF is an equal employment opportunity environment where effective and equitable participation is encouraged.”
The keynote speaker, Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), spoke about his experiences serving as an openly gay congressman.

There’s mot too much left to say that hasn’t been said, I just don’t know how ANYONE can be proud of being a *queer*. 😕
For the record, I don’t care what YOU do in your bedroom, who you do it with or how you do it, that is your business, just don’t *push* it off on me, but it’s a sad statement of affairs in America when our government agencies celebrate perversion.
ATF and Gay Pride? Ya gotta be shittin’ me. If so, and in the interest of a further example that ensuring sexual discrimination is verboten in the ATF, I expect another hoot’n’nanny next week for heterosexual men and women in the USA. We could have flags and everything.
Does anyone have any idea what this “bash” for Barney Franks costs? Barney Franks………now there’s a piece of trash for you.
The DOJ came back, they didn’t stay long this time, but they came back!!

Fred, a few points:
1. CNS News: I’ve been going there for some time. Good videos and good sources, making THEM a good source for news. Sadly, I find much of what I need to know from foreign or UK sources such as the DailyMail, UK Telegraph, et al. You can’t narrow your information focus and clearly you’ve expanded as well.
2. I don’t think it’s necessarily a point of intimidation that you were visited by DOJ. I’d actually suggest this: I’d wager that those persons were from the line level who wanted to see, after perhaps a Google search, what was “out there” in the Blogosphere. Because:
3. I’d bet that the great bulk of agents in BATFE and other federal LE agencies are both ashamed and disgusted with the ways that their upper management echelons operate. I know I would be. And the embracing of gays is just a distraction from the abortion that’s occurring at BATFE.

I, like you, keep my sources close. I worked there. I still have them. And I too would like to see some line level input. However, you have to realize that if they were to expunge their true thoughts, they fear they would be made techno projects which would tag back to their individual desks. They’re good and decent men and women but they don’t have a fraction of the power, techno and otherwise, available to their administrations. I’ve tried this before; it seldom works for the above reason. I know. I was there.
