FBI searching Dallas County Commissioner’s offices, Price’s home

DALLAS - As the newly-elected Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings was being inaugurated Monday at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, FBI agents swarmed homes and offices of various county commissioners across North Texas.

Federal agents are at the home and office of Commissioner John Wiley Price. It has also been confirmed that agents are also at multiple locations across the city that involve other people.

The FBI agents were limiting access to the Dallas County Commissioner’s Court offices, where FBI agents are searching the first two floors of the Dallas County Administration Building at 411 Elm Street. Only employees have been allowed in and out of the building.

Commissioner Maurine Dickey said her office was not being searched, but Commissioner Mike Cantrell’s office was being searched by agents.

“It’s a happy day for Dallas County,” Dickey said.

Hell hath no fury!! Commissioner Maurine Dickey stands in testament to that old axiom and I am told that Dickey may have a lot of insight into this matter, but I have no solid proof of that at this time. I will have more as the story develops.

Let me point out, the search warrants alone don’t make anyone guilty of anything, but they do indicate that a suspicion of some sort of wrongdoing is involved and/or that accusations have been made. The warrants are merely a part of the evidence gathering process.

The one thing that really hit me as strange in this story was the serving of warrants on Dallas County Commissioner Mike Cantrell.

Some of you may remember the brouhaha we had in Rowlett recently regarding our now former Mayor, John Harper. What truly hit my *funny bone* about Cantrell being served and his offices being searched was this, former Rowlett Mayor John Harper wanted an investigation conducted into my *sources* and Harper suggested that this investigation be conducted through ‘the good offices of Commissioner Mike Cantrell”.

In the spirit of fairness, and to Commissioner Cantrell’s credit, he, Cantrell, refused to be a part of the Harper debacle and I was told that both Cantrell and the Rowlett City attorney told Harper his charges had NO merit.

EDIT TO ADD: The FBI dispelled rumors that Commissioner Mike Cantrell’s office was being searched. This relieves me, I have a lot of respect for Commissioner Cantrell, I hope my original story source will also make an edit to their story as well.

Other locations being searched include Price’s field office on East Langdon and the office of his campaign chair, Kathy Nealy, in Uptown.

Also, the office of Price’s executive assistant Dapheny Fain was also being searched. FBI agents could be seen outside her DeSoto home.

There has been no specific information released as to why the agents were searching the offices or Price’s home, located in the 500 block of 5th Street in Oak Cliff. The agents arrived at the home by at least 10 a.m. They were taking pictures of his house and vehicles, including zooming in on the vehicle identification numbers of the at least six cars parked on the property.

Back in 2009, the then head of the Dallas County Commissioners Court, Judge Jim Foster, revealed under oath that Price had been under an FBI investigation dating back to the previous fall.

John Wiley Price has long been suspected of nefarious deeds, this is just a continuation into the investigation of his activities and general suspicions of wrongdoings.

Price is a much loved activist in his part of Dallas. His constituents are pretty happy with Price, he represents their overall makeup quite well, and Price has been known to throw *The RACE Card* on occasion.

Imagine that? A Black Dallas Democrat throws the *Race Card*. Mind-boggling.

Let me point out, John Wiley Price isn’t the brightest bulb on the string, and apparently, others involved WITH Price in Dallas government aren’t too bright either.

A special meeting about Dallas County traffic tickets turned tense and bizarre this afternoon.

County commissioners were discussing problems with the central collections office that is used to process traffic ticket payments and handle other paperwork normally done by the JP Courts.

Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said it seemed that central collections “has become a black hole” because paperwork reportedly has become lost in the office.

Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud “Excuse me!” He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a “white hole.”

That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy.

Mayfield shot back that it was a figure of speech and a science term. A black hole, according to Webster’s, is perhaps “the invisible remains of a collapsed star, with an intense gravitational field from which neither light nor matter can escape.”

Other county officials quickly interceded to break it up and get the meeting back on track. TV news cameras were rolling, after all. SOURCE

That give my readers a brief look into the ignorant minds that run Dallas, Texas, they see racism in everything, and their ignorance is shown in the process, but wait, there’s more:

Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price smiled, glared and rolled his eyes as he listened to several speakers Tuesday accuse him of being deceitful and duplicitous in his behind-the-scenes maneuvering to replace the county’s popular elections administrator.

But when the final speaker, Dallas lawyer Jeff Turner took the podium and referred to Price repeatedly as the county’s “chief mullah” and used the word “tribal” in his remarks, Price’s famous temper got the better of him.

He bluntly told Turner he took offense and challenged the lawyer to speak to him in private. That led to a shouting match between Price and audience members during which Price told them several times to “go to hell.” SOURCE

Yeah, that’s sarcasm.

John Wiley Price is an arrogant, ignorant racist and he represents the political views and intelligence level of his constituency quite well. He must, otherwise, WHY would they keep re-electing this waste of good oxygen?
