Mass. doctor wins Green Party nomination

BALTIMORE (AP) - A doctor who ran against Mitt Romney for Massachusetts governor a decade ago won the chance to challenge him again on Saturday, this time as the Green Party’s presidential nominee.

Jill Stein, an internist from Lexington, Mass., blasted both Romney and President Barack Obama, saying both had become too dependent on donations from corporations in order to acquire office at the expense of the nation’s citizens.

“We need real public servants who listen to the people - not to the corporate lobbyists that funnel campaign checks into the big war chests,” Stein told applauding supporters at a Holiday Inn in Baltimore. “That’s what brought me to the Green Party, the only national party that is not bought and paid for by corporate money.”

Stein acknowledges that her candidacy is a super long shot. Still, she notes that a growing number of people are expressing frustration with the two major political parties and she cites the Occupy Wall Street movement as an example of that.

Jill WHO?

You have seen this before on the blog, but I’m going to say it again; I detest Barack Hussein Obama, I am NOT AT ALL convinced that Mitt Romney is the best this nation or the GOP have to offer, but at this point in time Romney is our last, best hope for removing the CANCER that infests this nation, Obama.

We either hold our noses and vote for Romney, and then PRAY that he is more of a Conservative than we assume, or, we give Obama 4 more years to destroy America!

Four more years is about all it’s going to take; an Executive order here, an Executive order there, one or two really bad storms and voila, martial law, and that scenario doesn’t even begin to consider the ramifications if Obama is allowed to *load* the Supreme Court.

Here’s something else to consider; a write-in vote, or a non-vote, IS a vote, for a MARXIST! A 3rd Party vote is exactly the same in MY not so humble opinion.

It’s not that I don’t believe a 3rd Party can’t mount a serious attack, but to do so, that 3rd Party has to be serious themselves. So far, no 3rd Party has shown any semblance of credibility, they all seem to draw the political fringe.

Look at what most 3rd Party groups offer; the Libertarians support Ron Paul, even though that old moonbat ran as a Republican. And WHY did he run as a Republican when he is in NO WAY a Republican? Because even Ron Paul isn’t so delusional to think he had ANY chance running as a Libertarian.

So, should we take The Green Party seriously?

Stein won 193.5 delegates, compared to 72 for comedian Roseanne Barr, who did not attend.

OK, granted, they didn’t vote for Roseanne by any overwhelming majority, but how seriously can you take a political party that would even RUN a candidate like Roseanne Barr?

The ball is in YOUR court America, what YOU do with it will determine if this nation survives as a FREE nation or becomes a 3rd world dictatorship.

Green Party, Democratic Party or Communist Party…………..they are all the same. All want to bring this country to its knees.

  2. Katie says:

On the upswing we can tell those liberal idiots that if they aren’t happy with Obama, vote Green. Think about it. A vote for Green is not a vote for Obama. It will help Romney too.

    • TexasFred says:

Well, that’s not how I see it … a vote for ANY candidate other than Romney is a vote for Obama, and I sure don’t know how you can see it otherwise…

Any vote Romney doesn’t get only helps Obama, and this could easily come down to a handful of votes!

  3. Cary says:

I see what Katie is saying - the more of the Left who DOESN’T vote for Obama, and instead votes for the Greens, makes the Romney campaign more likely to win. In other words, taking votes away from our favorite Marxist.

  4. Bunkerville says:

Nothing aggravates me more than to hear all of these “purists” let our country go down in flames over their self righteousness in supporting this so called green party.

  5. Patrick Sperry says:

Sorry, but I will not be voting for Romney, but against obama. Even though it does mean that the ballot will say Romney. Or, obama light as I phrase it.
