ICE Union President: Rubio Must ‘Leave’ the Gang of 8

Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents’ union president Chris Crane called on Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio to abandon the bipartisan “Gang of Eight” in the U.S. Senate pushing immigration reform on Friday in a statement obtained exclusively by Breitbart News.

“Senator Rubio was asked during a recent interview that ‘if you don’t get enforcement first, or securing the borders first, is that a deal killer for you?,’” Crane said. “And he replied ‘Absolutely…Because we will be right back here again.’ But the outline from the Gang of 8 offers legalization, or amnesty, before enforcement is accomplished. Senator Schumer admitted as much: ‘we’ve come to a basic agreement, which is that first, people will be legalized…Then, we will make sure the border is secure.’ I would then respectfully call on Senator Rubio to follow through on his commitment to the American people — and his pledge to accomplish enforcement before legalization - and to leave the Gang of 8.”

Rubio still has an opportunity to leave the group if he wants. The Washington Post reported earlier this month, Rubio “can just say Democrats rushed it, or didn’t allow enough amendments.”

Reports continue surfacing about how Democrats in Congress are going to rush the bill, and more keep coming up about how members of the Gang of Eight are planning to band together to block amendments to their bill. SOURCE

When Rubio was first coming on the scene I listened to him, closely, and I wondered, on this blog and in observations on Facebook, how anyone could think him a Conservative.

I got blasted for that observation. I am glad to see that so many are waking up!

I still feel that Marco Rubio is NOT what he was touted to be. He is indeed the son of Cuban immigrants and I have long felt that there was an agenda at work for Rubio and that he was thrust into the Senate in an attempt to use his family and their immigrant status as a driving force for some type of immigration reform.

If this story is accurate, if we’re going to see legalization, or amnesty, before enforcement is accomplished, and if Rubio doesn’t GO OFF all over this *Gang of 8* for that, then Rubio will have proven himself to be nothing more than a TOOL.

While the group of senators-Republicans Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Jeff Flake and Rubio, and Democrats Michael Bennet, Robert Menendez, Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin-have not briefed their respective caucuses or the Senate Judiciary Committee on the details of the forthcoming legislation, information leaked to the media by their offices suggests that border security will not come first.

OK, you have to expect Democrats Michael Bennet, Robert Menendez, Chuck Schumer and Dick Durbin to rush to amnesty, it’s pretty much assumed that they are trying any and everything possible to garner as many *future Democratic votes* as possible and will give the nation away in an effort to make it ALL turn Blue (Democrat) in future elections.

Then look at the remainder of this *Gang of 8*, Republicans Lindsey Graham, John McCain, Jeff Flake and Rubio.

Marco Rubio is the only one of that group to vote against Gun Reform Cloture, and if he hadn’t voted against it there would be Conservatives calling for his head on a pike!

We ALL know that Republicans Lindsey Graham, and John McCain are perfect examples of what a RINO really is and it is presumed that Jeff Flake will do whatever McCain tells him to do, but much more is/was expected of Marco Rubio.

“There is nothing in the proposed plan that I have seen to suggest that there will be any effort to accomplish enforcement before legalization occurs,” Crane said. “Moreover, a lack of strong and immediate interior enforcement means the US will again become a sanctuary for the millions of illegal aliens who undoubtedly will flood across our nation’s borders in the future. Once across the border, guidance from the Obama administration will continue to prohibit ICE officers from enforcing immigration laws on the interior of the United States providing illegal aliens with safe haven and residence.”

Crane added that what he has noticed as the “only precondition to amnesty” in the Gang of Eight outline is one that requires Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to “submit a ‘plan’ about how she’ll secure the border years after millions of illegal aliens have already been granted amnesty.”

No border enforcement, no interior enforcement and the Obama regime will continue to tie the hands of U.S. Immigration Enforcement as our nation is over-run.

But hey, it’s not ALL bad; if Napolitano has a few years to come up with a *plan* on how to secure the border, surely she’ll be able to come up with something that’s effective.

Wait … didn’t Napolitano already tell us that the border with Mexico is as secure as it has been in years?

I have one piece of advice for young Mr. Rubio; you either start swinging for the fences and raising all manners of HELL like Texas Senator Ted Cruz as you walk away from this Dem and RINO controlled *Gang of 8* or you wear the name RINO right along with them!
