Some thoughts on America, Islam, Abortion and Freedom
What do I know? I’m just an old redneck blogger from Texas. But you know, there’s some things that just aren’t sitting *right* for me, and this is one of them.
WASHINGTON (AP) - Landmark immigration legislation passed by the Senate would remake America’s workforce from the highest rungs to the lowest and bring many more immigrants into the economy, from elite technology companies to restaurant kitchens and rural fields. SOURCE
Call me old fashioned, but I am an America 1st kind of guy. I consider myself to be a Patriot, I love this nation and I hate to see what the Congress and Senate are doing to it.
Some of you will call me *hard hearted* for this but here’s what I believe; as long as we have so much as ONE homeless veteran, or other homeless person, as long as we have so much as ONE hungry American child, as long as we have so much as ONE sick, infirm or disabled American in need of help we have NO business opening up our nation to those from around the globe that come here to enjoy the fruits of this nation and hate us every step of the way!
Then there is this;
The White House was careful Monday to avoid calling Egypt’s regime change a “coup,” underscoring the dilemma President Obama faces as he tries to manage a thorny conflict between the Egyptian military’s actions and U.S. law, which bans aid to countries where a coup has taken place. SOURCE
Why are we giving *aid* to Egypt? Why are we giving aid to ANY Muslim nation? I know that according to recent stories that the USA is sending $1.5 Billion dollars a year to Egypt. That is money we could use right here at home, see the above about sick, hungry and homeless Americans.
I also understand that some want to call what has happened in Egypt a *coup*; frankly, I don’t care what they call it, a coup, a revolt in which the military stood with the Egyptian people, whatever the name, it’s the business of Egypt.
So, back to that $1.5 BILLION dollars in aid; Mohamed Morsi was the beneficiary of that money, so it only follows that the Muslim Brotherhood, al-Qaeda, the Taliban and God only knows what other radical Islamic terror group were being well funded from that $1.5 BILLION of American taxpayer dollars.
It makes NO sense to me WHY the United States would want to, not *have to*, would want to fund a nation that even today, in its current state of upheaval, will still, quite likely, hate us just as much once that upheaval is settled. Let them, and the Pakistanis and every other bunch of Muslim nations that get American aid hate us for FREE.
And WHY is the Federal government, most particularly Federal Judges, always sticking their noses where they just don’t belong?
MADISON, Wis. – A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order Monday evening to block enforcement of a new Wisconsin law that bans doctors who lack admitting privileges at nearby hospitals from performing abortions. SOURCE
I realize that many Federal Judges are in the business of supporting the Libtard way of life. I realize that quite a few of them have NO regard for human life and will promote the abortion on demand agenda at every opportunity.
The voters of the state of Wisconsin voted, their will should become LAW, a law that isn’t subject to the *touchy-feely* politics of some stinking LIBTARD Judge!
Look at Prop 8 in California and look at what the Federal system did to it.
Here in Texas we’re in the middle of a fight similar to the one in Wisconsin, with part of our fight being the same caveat of doctors that DO perform abortions being required to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals. It seems like a reasonable requirement to me, if you’re going to allow abortions to be performed that is.
It seems to me that EVIL is consuming this nation. It also seems to me that our Founding Fathers saw this EVIL in our future and planned for it, and gave us an option to fight that EVIL.
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
Let me make a point here that some may argue, but again, quite frankly, I don’t care; STATES RIGHTS is once again the issue. Need I remind some among us? The Civil War was NOT fought over the issue of slavery; it was fought over STATES RIGHTS and the Federal government sticking its nose in where it doesn’t belong. There is a not so subtle hint here.
This isn’t ALL that bugs me, it’s certainly not the ONLY set of issues that are of great concern for the American people, but it IS all I am going into on this post. Please weigh in with comments as you see fit!
