Dems Rally around Boehner to Thwart Conservative Coup

‘Some of these characters came here thinking they’re going to change the world’

(The Hill) - Tea Party Republicans contemplating a bid to oust Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) shouldn’t count on Democrats to help them unseat the Speaker.

And without their support, there is no chance to topple Boehner in this Congress.

A number of right-wing Republicans, long-wary of Boehner’s commitment to GOP efforts attacking President Obama’s policy priorities, have openly considered a coup in an attempt to transfer the gavel into more conservative hands.

But Democrats from across an ideological spectrum say they’d rather see Boehner remain atop the House than replace him with a more conservative Speaker who would almost certainly be less willing to reach across the aisle in search of compromise. Replacing him with a Tea Party Speaker, they say, would only bring the legislative process — already limping along — to a screeching halt. SOURCE

I have never cared where the TRUTH came from as long as it was the TRUTH and had the ability to stand on its own. Well my friends, I am no fool, I know pictures can be photo shopped to make most anything look like it’s real, but in this case, a picture is worth 1,000 words, and it IS real.

112th Congress Convenes On Capitol Hill

Boehner has a lot of support in Congress, from the GOP because every last one of the GOP Congressional members are afraid of him and the power he wields, and even more importantly, he has a lot of support from the Democrats, the very ones that he and the GOP are supposed to keep in check, not because the Dems are afraid of him, oh no, fear has nothing to do with it.

The Dems support John Boehner because is as much a Democrat as they are.

My question, the one I REALLY want answered is this; how long do you keep defending this POS RINO bastard? How much more does Congress think the USA can stand?

How much more does the GOP think that WE, THE PEOPLE are going to take?

“I’d probably vote for Boehner [because] who the hell is going to replace him? [Ted] Yoho?,” Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-N.J.) said Wednesday, referencing the Florida Tea Party Republican who’s fought Boehner on a host of bipartisan compromise bills.

“In terms of the institution, I would rather have John Boehner as the Speaker than some of these characters who came here thinking that they’re going to change the world,” Pascrell added.

The TEA Party has serious leadership issues, or, more precisely, lacks a focused leader that can rally the numbers needed to wrest power from RINOs like Boehner and to restore ADULT leadership to the Halls of Congress.

The GOP is led by *weak sister* types like Reince Priebus, aka *Short Bus*, and regardless of the numbers, the GOP may have the *majority* but the sure don’t have THE POWER.

Boehner, who has grappled with dissent from the Tea Party wing since he took the Speaker’s gavel in 2011, has seen opposition to his reign grow this year, even as he commands the largest GOP majority since the Hoover administration.

As I said; the numbers say majority, the actions say very little else.

When I was still supporting Pete Sessions (TX-32) I had already cut my ties with the TEA Party due to THEIR lack of leadership and Sessions made me aware that the GOP was going to stand against the TEA Party and any leadership that may emerge, and they have done just that.

The Mainstream GOP made it very clear a while back; they insisted that if TEA Party candidates were elected, once they got to Washington they would immediately be co-opted into the GOP, in other words; no individual thinking will be allowed, you will do as you are told to do and you will support who and what you are told to support, or Lord High Boehner will remove you from any position of power you may hold or will stop you from ever attaining any power what so ever.

Any lawmaker may file a motion to “vacate” a sitting Speaker, a move that would force a vote of the full House. The effort would almost certainly fail, as the conservatives would need the overwhelming support of Democrats to win a majority. But it would be an embarrassing setback to Boehner and his leadership team, who entered the year hoping their commanding new majority would alleviate some of the whipping problems that had plagued them in the past.

Here is where COURAGE comes into play and far too many just don’t have it. The GOP has the majority numbers but they are afraid of Boehner, the Dems are supporting him because he is the strongest ally the Democrats have ever had.

So, here we are, stuck with GUTLESS Congressional members that play by the rules of *Political Correctness* as they feed from the trough of U.S. tax dollars.

Our Founding Fathers didn’t *DO* political correctness, they spoke their minds, stood and looked adversity in the eye and did what was RIGHT for America.

I’m fairly confident that at the very least our Founding Fathers would BITCH SLAP each and every one of these GUTLESS cretins in Congress, or, quite possibly, call them out to the yard and challenge them to a duel for the damage they are causing the United States.

Boy, wouldn’t that get some panties in a twist. E. Cummings facing down Trey Gowdy at 20 paces. I can dream, can’t I?

  2. The Right Handed Cowboy says:

And you wonder why the GOP can’t get it right..with the majority of house and Senate the Dems still doing what they want…until they get rid of the turn coat son of a bitch Boehner and find a speaker with balls. We are doomed..

Not much I can add to what you’ve said Fred. The Conservatives are leaderless. Can’t blame the freshmen. Like all FNGs thay have to learn and are confused at first. It is up to veteran congresscritters to step forward. As with our own Pete Sessions and way too many others we see the guys that run as conservatives aren’t. One of the few that really shows active signs of rebellion is Louie Gohmert from East Texas. At least he offered himself as a candidate for Speaker and I think he only got one vote, his own.

Boehner needs to be attacked at his weakness’s. He is a known crier and a reputed drunk. Attack that SOB daily. Laugh at his phony tan, his crying episodes, his alcoholism. Attack him personally and drive his sorry ass over the edge. Let them remove him in a coat with extra long sleeves. Boehner is a total disaster to conservatives and we might as well drive him out of Congress.

The only problem with my idea is that another “moderate” lifer will probably step up to replace “Cry Baby”.

We’re screwed and I don’t have more to say as I don’t see a light at the end of this tunnel.

  5. cary says:

Anytime the guy who is supposed to be the “leader” has more support from the other side of the aisle than from his own, tells you something. People need to wake up soon, this place is getting hotter and the fringes of the basket are starting to singe …

  6. BobF says:

Mandatory term limits of six years for House members would cure this. No one man/woman would be there long enough to coral power create the dictatorships that a Bohener and Pelosi have. Career politicians have taken this country down the toilet. Think about it. We give men and women who, for the most part, have absolutely no experience in running or managing a business control of trillion dollar budgets. Just look at Obama. His wife probably didn’t even allow him to balance the checking account but now he’s drafting trillion dollar budgets.

I know term limits for congress are wishful thinking as the political machines on both sides of the aisle will never even allow it to be brought up.

They (the GOP) did and said what they had to do/say to get elected/re-elected last year, and now they are showing their true colors and they ain’t red, white, and blue. We no longer have a two party system. We have the Democrats (Communists/Muslims) and the GOP (Communists/Muslims in training). In that kind of environment the Bicameral/two party system no longer functions. It’s more like the Russian Politburo. The Constitution has been ripped apart in favor of socialism/communism/ Islam and the “pen and a phone”, and it’s time to lock and load brothers and sisters. I’m too old to “bug out” they’ll have to come get me and I’ll give ’em the ammo first from my back porch. My only fear is what kind of world will my grandchildren inherit?
