Blackwater tapped foreigners on secret CIA program
WASHINGTON (AP) – When the CIA revived a plan to kill or capture terrorists in 2004, the agency turned to the well-connected security company then known as Blackwater USA.
With Blackwater’s lucrative government security work and contacts arrayed in hot spots around the world, company officials offered the services of foreigners supposedly skilled at tracking terrorists in lawless regions and countries where the CIA had no working relationships with the government.
Blackwater told the CIA that it “could put people on the ground to provide the surveillance and support – all of the things you need to conduct an operation,” a former senior CIA official familiar with the secret program told The Associated Press.
But the CIA’s use of the private contractor as part of its now-abandoned plan to dispatch death squads skirted concerns now re-emerging with recent disclosures about Blackwater’s role.

Do any of you remember the old Mission Impossible television series staring Peter Graves? How about the Mission Impossible movies with Tom Cruise? Surely some of you remember that!
Do you remember what a well trained team of specialists they were? They could speak any language, had intimate knowledge of all the intricacies of ANY area, the clothing, the language, the habits, the culture and every little detailed nuance required to infiltrate enemy territory, up to, and including, masquerading as an official of that enemy, rubber masks and voice patterns done to the point that the guys own family couldn’t even recognize him as being an impostor. You DO remember all that from TV and Hollywood, right?
Well, guess what? Very little, if ANY of that stuff is real. It only exists in the movies. The CIA uses any and every resource at hand in an effort to protect this nation, and Blackwater was one of those valuable resources.
These Super Spies, or, Spooks, just aren’t real. James Bond is a character. ALL Intel agencies use as many local assets as possible. Why? Because local assets blend in to the local terrain. They speak the language. They know the customs. They know who’s who and where it’s all taking place, and if they play their cards right, they can infiltrate the area that OUR Intel guys are needing to take a look at. Then the electronic surveillance takes over.
The former senior CIA official who had knowledge of the program explained that “you wouldn’t want to have American fingerprints on it.”
And that my friends, sums it up quite nicely. It’s often referred to as plausible deniability. You have to be able to deny ALL knowledge of a particular operation on occasion, and you have to make it believable, and you also, on occasion, had better be the best poker faced liar that ever existed.
Covert operations are what keeps this nation safe. Or, perhaps I should say, until recently, they have been what has kept this nation safe.
It appears that the Obama administration is intent on placing blame for anything that has ever gone wrong on the CIA. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see heads roll at CIA and Blackwater, now known as Xe Services LLC. When you have a president that can do nothing other than make a world tour, doing his We Apologize song and dance, you just know that he’s not about to be held even remotely responsible for the actions of our Covert Warriors as they sacrifice themselves to keep the USA safe.
And to the occasional Libber, Obamabot, Dem, blame America first moonbat that reads here, and you KNOW who you are, there was a scene in the movie The Godfather where Michael and Kay were talking and Michael intimated that his father, as head of his organization, has had people killed.
He went on to explain to Kay that his father was a lot like the president, his only intent was to protect HIS people.
Michael: My father is no different than any powerful man, any man with power, like a president or senator.
Kay Adams: Do you know how naive you sound, Michael? Presidents and senators don’t have men killed.
Michael: Oh. Who’s being naive, Kay?
Once in a while, Hollywood gets it right, they may not intend to, but it happens. That particular scene fully illustrates the fact.
And I’m afraid that Barack Hussein Obama believes that We, THE PEOPLE, are just naive enough to fall for his shuck and jive, and his self-righteous BS about One World Government and making nice with the enemies of this nation.
Obama would be well served to take a long hard look at reality and know this, keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer. There is no way to keep your enemies close unless you are constantly watching them, staying at least one step ahead of them and above all else, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, trust them!
If Obama is trusting in ANY Islamic or Socialist nation, if Obama still believes, or claims to believe that WE are not threatened by forces that would utterly destroy this nation, then I am of the belief that Barack Hussein Obama is one OF those people, a part OF that force, and I believe that his actions of late, and those of his Attorney General, Eric Holder, make it quite plain exactly who’s side Obama is batting for!

WASHINGTON – Besieged during the Bush administration for bending to the White House’s will, the Justice Department is again accused of playing politics with cases — this time in investigating whether CIA interrogators illegally abused terror suspects.
The new charges were led Sunday by former Vice President Dick Cheney, who called the preliminary probe ordered last week by Attorney General Eric Holder an “outrageous political act that will do great damage, long term.”
“I just think it’s an outrageous precedent to set, to have this kind of, I think, intensely partisan, politicized look back at the prior administration,” Cheney said in an interview aired on “Fox News Sunday.”

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is MY personal opinion that Dick Cheney is 100% correct in his assessment! The CIA is under attack from the Obama administration and his DOG, Eric Holder.
They may want to tread lightly. You never know when a counter-attack may take place. Just sayin’…

The people Obama has surrounded himself with all these years is very telling. I just watched a video of him in Kenya years back supporting Raila Odinga! Well…there is a fantasy world out there…because this administration in DC proves it.
If these spy groups were headed up to SECRETLY kill heads of state in foreign countries…I would be careful in trying to bring them down….things could backfire and they may well be the next target. After all…SURVIVAL is killing the other guy before he kills you.
The plight we find ourselves in now, with regard to the CIA, is directly due to the Church and other hearings of the 70s and the emasculation and gutting of the CIA and its field operatives. When once our agents on the ground were the backbone of our intelligence networks, we were FORCED to discard HUMINT because, after all, it just isn’t pristine and clean and unvarnished. When you lay down with dogs, you just get fleas. But you also have the DOG’S perspective and the KNOWLEDGE that dog possesses.
From then on we were forced to rely upon technology; our COMINT, ELINT, and other tech venues — which were, generally, by their very nature, at arms’ length from the actual points of contention.
We learned NOTHING from this because the LEFTIST ELEMENTS of this country FORCED us to learn nothing from this. And the Leftists, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, want us to completely DISCARD HUMINT once again and rely upon that which is “clean” and “pristine” and “perfect.”
Historical Alzheimers. In intelligence, NOTHING is “clean” and “pristine” and “perfect.” But it’s ALWAYS more accurate with information acquired from LOCAL ground and human sources.
LACK of human agents and contacts, lack of dealing with locals on levels that THEY understand, THAT is what contributes to the downfall of nations. OUR job, ANY nation’s job, is to find out what the Other Guy knows before the Other Guy knows WE know it.

Blackwater had a great organization, but the MSM and the libs ripped them so badly I understand they have changed their name and are now a mere shadow of their former self. In some ways this reminds me of the Contra’s and Ollie North in years gone by.
Operations such as Blackwater and others undertook were never meant to see the light of day and thats how it should be. But forces on the left will always, and I mean always seek to undermine the secret work of the CIA and their contractors. Great post.

Blackwater hired the people that did the things that needed to be done, when they needed to be done, period. They did it with Honor, strength, and intelligence. PERIOD! Those people are not just Marines, Rangers, and Seal’s folks! (Admittedly a whole lot carry an 18* MOS) They are American Warriors!

If I were the CIA and/or Blackwater, I might be planning an operation to take down the people who presently are trying to take them down. Considering the current political climate it would be the patriotic thing to do. Just saying.

Helliburton is just as bad as Blackwater and just as corrupt. They are now cashing in on the Global Warming Hoax. If anyone should be prosecuted for waste and corruption, it should them and and leave the CIA alone.
