The proposition was outrageous, outlandish, and right up James E. O’Keefe III’s alley. Hannah Giles was on the phone from the District, and she was asking him to dress like her pimp, walk into the offices of the ACORN community activist group, openly admit to wanting to buy a house to run as a brothel, and see what happened.
It was serendipity, O’Keefe said Thursday. On that day in May, he was still burning mad after watching a YouTube video of Acorn workers breaking padlocks off foreclosed homes and barging in. “I was upset,” he said.
O’Keefe, 25, packed his grandfather’s old wide-brimmed derby hat from his swing-dancing days, his grandmother’s ratty chinchilla shoulder throw, and a cane he bought at a dollar store, then drove from his parents’ home in northern New Jersey to the District to execute the idea with Giles, 20.
What happened next was a scandal that has shaken ACORN to its core. O’Keefe and Giles secretly videoed ACORN workers in the District, Brooklyn and Baltimore as they coached the secret filmmakers on how to evade taxes and misrepresent the nature of their business enterprise to get into a home.

FORT WORTH - ACORN offices across Texas are temporarily halting the bulk of their work, following the lead of other chapters nationwide, as ACORN re-trains workers and makes sure proper policies and procedures are in place to avoid any improper activity.

State Rep. Lon Burnam, D-Fort Worth, also has worked with ACORN, and once attended a national convention of the group. ACORN, and it’s inherent EVIL, are rapidly being brought down. State, federal officials cut off money to ACORN, the majority of Americans, for ALL sides of the political spectrum, are seeing ACORN for exactly what it is and are coming to their senses.
There’s only one fly in the ointment right now. Will Barack Hussein Obama, the man who would not be POTUS were it not FOR the support he received from ACORN, sign the legislation to defund these crooks?
That is yet to be seen!

ACORN is not going anywhere, just like Van Jones didn’t go anywhere they are simply being moved out of the limelight until the next slight of hand move is required. Folks need to start paying attention to the behind the scenes stuff. While Van Jones was being “Racially removed” A severe ANTI-Second Amendment, ANTI-Hunting, POS was installed as CZAR, Cass Sunstein is now serving as the head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs… The sacrificial lamb was van jones, the HC debate and several other “High profile” media attention grabbing moves by this corrupt administration…..

They were elated when Van Jones resigned, and the Obummer said that he was sad that he was leaving. Not a word from the White House, (or is that racist, and we should now call it the Mulatto house?), on how crooked he was, only that he was pressured by we right wing radicals. They are not concerned that “the WON” moved the census bureau from the Department of the Treasury to the White House. Wonder how many Americans even understand the ramifications of this……….

The Democrats want to EXPAND the Community Reinvestment Act. CRA was largely responsible for “sub-prime mortgages,” the first tier of the housing collapse. ACORN used CRA as a club to intimidate bankers into making sub-prime loans in low income areas. Expanding this Act will mean out of work former ACORN members will be employed under a different agency. HoosierArmyMom has it right, we cannot drop our guard!

Even if our illustrious two houses of Congress pass the bill to defund ACORN, it will probably be months before the bill goes to Obooboo’s desk and then the question is, with his unmitigated gall, will he SIGN IT??? He has no problem assigning CZARs of questionable character with out Congressional approval, or doing Presidential orders to spend stimulus funds to help relocate Palestinian refugees to America, or releasing terrorists to American soil, or even basically calling American citizens exercising their right to disapprove, liars who are spreading disinformation and I could go on and on… Does anyone actually think he will sign the bill if he doesn’t want to??? This narcissistic piece of dirt doesn’t seem to be afraid of “We the People”. After all, THEY WON, we LOST so TOO BAD seems to be the message he sends.
Right now we need a patriotic American that we can rally around, that can fight the smoke and mirrors that is coming from the White House. I haven’t seen such a person emerge yet. There are many who fight the good fight, but just as many who want nothing to do with public office, and who can blame them????
It is simply amazing that after all that ACORN has done wrong that it would be two young adults that bring it down. The government didn’t have the guts to go after them so the American people had to. My hat is off to these two people.
You ask a great question though, will Obama be strong enough to cut off their funding. I think that he will hope the uproar dies down and he will be able to sign the bill without fanfare. We must make sure this doesn’t happen.
