Fact check: Obama ledger out of balance

President offers far more examples of spending than cutting

WASHINGTON — The ledger did not appear to be adding up Tuesday night when President Barack Obama urged more spending on one hand and a spending freeze on the other. Obama spoke ambitiously of putting money into roads, research, education, efficient cars, high-speed rail and other initiatives in his State of the Union speech.

He pointed to the transportation and construction projects of the last two years and proposed “we redouble these efforts.” He coupled this with a call to “freeze annual domestic spending for the next five years.”

But Obama offered far more examples of where he would spend than where he would cut, and some of the areas he identified for savings are not certain to yield much if anything.

For example, he said he wants to eliminate “billions in taxpayer dollars we currently give to oil companies.” Yet he made a similar proposal last year that went nowhere. He sought $36.5 billion in tax increases on oil and gas companies over the next decade, but Congress largely ignored the request, even though Democrats were then in charge of both houses of Congress.

Last night, Barack Hussein Obama did what Barack Hussein Obama does best; he lied his ass off while addressing the American people. Well, those Americans that were able to stomach the debacle that was the State of The Union speech.

One other thing that Barack Hussein Obama does do well; The Shout Out!

Notice Joe Biden, the biggest MORON to ever enter Washington, bar none, clapping in what I see as a rather enthusiastic manner, and then look at John Boehner. IF LOOKS COULD KILL!

The clapping of hands that Speaker Boehner is using, that is a *golf clap*. The *golf clap* is a subdued, very unenthusiastic clap of polite acknowledgement. Nothing more.

So, lets take a look at the Obama offerings and see what comes out.

OBAMA: Tackling the deficit “means further reducing health care costs, including programs like Medicare and Medicaid, which are the single biggest contributor to our long-term deficit. Health insurance reform will slow these rising costs, which is part of why nonpartisan economists have said that repealing the health care law would add a quarter of a trillion dollars to our deficit.”

Here’s what really needs to be done; get the welfare slugs OFF of the public dole.

Stop the abuses of our medical system in America. Stop rewarding the ghetto and barrio chicks for having more and more babies. Stop GIVING medical coverage to people that have never held a job or worked a day in their lives. It is wrong to allow some people to make a living simply because they have NO morals but DO have the ability to spit out another baby every nine and a half months. Breed stock is great for livestock, but we don’t need brood mares to keep the welfare population up.

OBAMA: Vowed to veto any bills sent to him that include “earmarks,” pet spending provisions pushed by individual lawmakers. “Both parties in Congress should know this: If a bill comes to my desk with earmarks inside, I will veto it.”

Again, Obama lying his ass off.

This was nothing more than a ‘See, I really DO care‘ statement. One designed to assure the American people that Obama is tough on waste, tough on pork barrel spending and is looking out for our best interest. In other words, another LIE by Obama and his speech writers.

OBAMA: “I’m willing to look at other ideas to bring down costs, including one that Republicans suggested last year: medical malpractice reform to rein in frivolous lawsuits.”

What Obama REALLY said was; ‘We got nothing, but that’s OK, the GOP made a suggestion and I can steal their idea, make it my own and I’ll look good to my people.’

OBAMA: As testament to the fruits of his administration’s diplomatic efforts to control the spread of nuclear weapons, he said the Iranian government “faces tougher and tighter sanctions than ever before.”

Obama has met EPIC FAIL eye to eye, and Obama blinked. Iran, and pretty much the rest of the world, look at Obama and they laugh their asses off. It’s THAT simple.

Barack Hussein Obama, like many presidents before him, has acquiesced to the United Nations and has placed his faith in the UN’s ability to influence the world, deter tyrants and correct the inequities of life.

Also, Obama is NOT going to be too tough on his Islamic brothers, even if he could be. Birds of a feather, so to speak.

Something that I find funny is this; Reid dismisses Obama’s call for ban on earmarks.

Harry Reid is a MORON, and I say that in ALL sincerity. What Reid is doing with this action is making it obvious that regardless of the promises made by Speaker Boehner to oppose ALL earmarks, regardless of the hollow words of Obama, Reid and the Senate have no intentions of changing their way of doing business.

Last night the Democrats ATTACKED the GOP, and the GOP loved it.

But tonight dozens of lawmakers cast history and tradition aside with a mixed seating arrangement meant to symbolize a renewed commitment to civility and bipartisanship.

Democrats crossed the aisle to stake out positions in Republican territory on the right side of the House chamber, while some Republicans ventured for seats among Democrats on the left. The mixed crowd of blue and red ties and pant suits created an unprecedented scene from wall to wall.

The integrated seating plan, first proposed by Sen. Mark Udall, D-Colo., following the Tucson shooting, drew at least 59 formal sponsors on a letter laying out the idea and yielded an array of surprising bipartisan seating partners.

Udall linked with conservative South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, while liberal Minnesota Sen. Al Franken joined conservative Georgia Sen. Saxby Chambliss. SOURCE

I say this with my head held high, and don’t give a damn if some so-called Conservatives don’t like what I have to say regarding this debacle. ANY elected GOP official that was SO stupid that they fell for this Democratic disruption needs to be removed from office as soon as is possible.

This kumbaya, the lets ALL sit together and be friends BS was just that, BS.
