Pentagon gunman sought ‘truth’ about 9/11

Pentagon gunman sought ‘truth’ about 9/11

Internet postings linked to the suspected gunman in a Pentagon subway shooting suggest long-held frustration with the government’s reach into the private life of Americans.

The suspect, John Patrick Bedell, 36, died after exchanging gunfire with two police officers. He spent weeks driving to the Capital area from the West Coast, authorities said Friday.

A blog connected to him via the social networking site LinkedIn outlines a growing distrust of the federal government. The blog suggests a criminal enterprise run out of the government could have staged the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

It was the latest batch of conspiracy-laden Internet postings to surface since Thursday night’s shooting.

Pentagon gunman sought ‘truth’ about 9/11

What did I tell you folks about 9-11 Truthers? They are nothing but moonbats, barking at the moon MORONS that have NO clue regarding the REAL enemies of this nation! I posted my feelings about 9-11 Truthers here: The TRUTH about 9-11 Truthers

Keevill described Bedell as “very well educated” and well-dressed, saying Bedell was wearing a suit, armed with two 9 millimeter semiautomatic weapons and carried “many magazines” of ammunition. There was more ammunition in Bedell’s car, which authorities found in a local parking garage, Keevill said.

Noting that Bedell was wearing a suit, Keevill said: “There was no indication based on the way he was dressed that he had hostile intent.”

John Patrick Bedell, as well educated, and as well dressed as he may have been, was simply a dupe of the 9-11 Truther movement.

Regarding his clothing, and it being NO indicator of his hostile intent, tell me what you think a terrorist looks like. In comments, describe to me exactly what you believe a terrorist looks like.

Bedell having 2 9mm semiautomatic pistols and several extra magazines doesn’t qualify as being all that well armed in my estimation. The words, well armed and 9mm don’t go well together.

And for those PC individuals that are afraid to use the word TERRORIST for fear of offending, I am NOT one of those people. John Patrick Bedell was a REAL domestic terrorist, much the same as Ft. Hood shooter Malik Nadal Hasan. The big difference being, Bedell is DEAD! One less 9-11 Truther moonbat!

Debra Medina, the recently defeated GOP candidate here in Texas, is rumored to have ties with the 9-11 Truther movement. Medina has denied those allegations.

Granted, her denial came after she was asked by radio host Glenn Beck, “Do you believe the government was in any way involved with the bringing down of the World Trade Center on 9-11?” Debra Medina is a 9-11 Truther

That’s about as straight forward a question as can be asked, but Medina never gave a yes or no answer, she launched into a rambling tirade that left many wondering what the hell she had just said. She later issued a statement that was suppose to clarify the rambling tirade. It didn’t.

My point is, we, the citizens of the United States, don’t need people like that in office. Those that further this 9-11 Truther conspiracy are doing nothing to help our nation. I don’t mourn the death of John Patrick Bedell, but I have to wonder, the recent publicity that the 9-11 Truthers have received during the Texas gubernatorial race, could that possibly have been a catalyst?

The user named JPatrickBedell wrote the Sabow case was “a step toward establishing the truth of events such as the September 11 demolitions.”

That same posting railed against the government’s enforcement of marijuana laws and included links to the author’s 2006 court case in Orange County, Calif., for cultivating marijuana and resisting a police officer. Court records available online show the date of birth on the case mentioned by the user JPatrickBedell matches that of the John Patrick Bedell suspected in the shooting.

Ron Paul Wins Presidential Straw Poll at CPAC

Ron Paul Wins Presidential Straw Poll at CPAC
Ron Paul has ended Mitt Romney’s three-year run as conservatives’ favorite for president, taking 31 percent of the vote in the Conservative Political Action Conference’s annual straw poll.

Paul, a Republican congressman from Texas known for his libertarian views, ran for president in 2008 but was never a serious contender for the GOP nomination.

Romney, former Massachusetts governor and also a 2008 GOP candidate, has won the last three presidential straw polls at the annual conference. This year, he came in second, with 22 percent.

Ron Paul Wins Presidential Straw Poll at CPAC

CPAC has just rendered itself to be about 3 levels LESS than useless in MY opinion!

I realize that not ALL attendees to CPAC voted in this straw poll. I have been told that the Paulies came out in force. I was told that, apparently, the Paulies were the only ones that knew where the ballot box was. I have read that fewer than a quarter of the 10,000 attendees participated in the balloting. I find that pretty hard to believe actually, but, it’s possible.

Regardless, Ron Paul took 31% of the vote in the Conservative Political Action Conference’s annual straw poll? He was favored by 31% of the voting attendees. No matter the extenuating circumstances, I have to ask: are you people CRAZY?

I realize that this is a *straw poll* but for the love of God and Country, you had Mike Pence to vote for and you voted for Ron FREAKING Paul? Dr. Moonbat? A certified 9-11 Truther and an all around disgusting Libertarian that poses as a Republican because a Libertarian hasn’t got a chance of being elected to much of anything?

I thought CPAC was a place for CONSERVATIVES to gather and offer ideas for ways to take the nation back from the brink of destruction? I thought CPAC was a place where Conservatives went to get fired up, motivated, connected and ready to do some serious work for America.

And Ron FREAKING Paul is the best you guys could come up with?

Maybe there was a lot more going on. Maybe this *straw poll* wasn’t too high on the priorities of many of the attendees. All I know is this, the Mainstream Media, FOX News, ALL of them, they are all over this and making it look like Ron FREAKING Paul was the star of CPAC and is now the anointed one.

I have been proud to wear the name Conservative. Here’s why. I didn’t stop being a Dem all those years ago, I didn’t change, I was a Conservative then and I am a Conservative now. The Democratic Party changed. They went hard to the left. So, I became a Reagan Conservative. I embraced the Republican Party mostly because they had become the party of Conservatism and common sense.

Then, after the administrations of Bush 41 and Bush 43, many of us were fed up with the Caspar Milquetoast attitude of PCness and Democrat Lite we were seeing the GOP become before our very eyes.

So the Conservative movement truly came to be, and with it, CPAC, The TEA Party and a lot of very dedicated American patriots that want to do what’s RIGHT for America.

The TEA Party of late has been proving itself to be that rudderless ship that the left has accused it of being. I tried to see past it, but you can’t argue with truth. Well, you can, but you end up looking pretty foolish in the end.

CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Conference, is supposed to be uniting Conservatives and getting the Conservative movement headed in the RIGHT direction. They are, supposedly, going about the business of fixing the rudder. Supposedly.

And then something like this happens.

Sarah Palin, who didn’t attend the conference, was a distant third in the straw poll, with 7 percent, followed by Tim Pawlenty, the Minnesota governor, and Rep. Mike Pence of Indiana.

Anyone that has ever read this blog knows, I don’t particularly care for Sarah Palin. I don’t have ANY degree of trust in her. I think Sarah is in it for Sarah. I am convinced that she is NOT a Conservative, her continued support of John McCain speaks volumes to that in my opinion.

Dem. Sen. Evan Bayh says he won’t seek 3rd term

Dem. Sen. Evan Bayh says he won’t seek 3rd term
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh says he will not run for a third term in Congress.

Bayh said at a news conference in Indianapolis on Monday that he believed he would have been re-elected despite “the current challenging environment” in Congress.

He attributed his decision to the bitter partisan divides that have dominated Congress in recent years, though he praised his colleagues as hard workers devoted to public service.

Bayh says it is time for him to “contribute to society in another way,” either by creating jobs with a business, leading a college or university, or running a charity.

Dem. Sen. Evan Bayh says he won’t seek 3rd term

A Hat Tip to: THE ASTUTE BLOGGERS for the pic.

I really don’t have a dog in this particular fight. Being a resident of Texas all I can do is opine on the politics of Indiana. Let me share the words and opinion of someone from Indiana, a person I call a real friend, my blogging buddy, Hoosier Army Mom

What is truly sad is the fact that though being a Democrat, Bayh survived in this ‘red state’ because he was in the middle and patriotic about our country. I think his disgust is most likely motivated by Harry Reid throwing out the jobs bill and spitting on anything that includes both sides… so much for bipartisan!!! I certainly don’t defend Bayh, and I am glad to see him step down, but he is not, by long shot, the worst of the lot, but what he is would be one part of the majority that needs to go. I guarantee you… in this state, he will be replaced with a Republican. Now if that RINO Lugar would just retire!!! And of course in the House we need to be rid of Andre Carson and Baron Hill!!!! They both disgust me!!!
