Not all Democrats falling for Obama

WASHINGTON (AP) - Nothing personal, Sen. Obama, but our re-election comes first. Barack Obama, for all his attention and primary successes, does not go over so well in a fair number of Democratic lawmakers’ home districts. So it seems there is little chance that some will endorse him for president.

Some are counting on Republican votes in their re-election bids. Some are newly minted and in rematches with 2006 opponents. Some may be wary of how their constituents will react to a black presidential candidate. Some, too, have made it a practice of distancing themselves from the national party, fearing the inevitable campaign ad that has their face morphing into Howard Dean, the party chairman, and Obama.

Rep. Dan Boren, the only congressional Democrat in Oklahoma, calls Obama “the most liberal senator” in Congress and says he has no plans to make a public endorsement.

“We’re much more conservative” in eastern Oklahoma, Boren said. “I’ve got to reflect my district.”

Georgia Rep. Jim Marshall, a Democrat and Vietnam veteran who won his last election by about 1,800 votes, said he admires both Obama and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., but feels no obligation to state a preference.

“If it turns out one of them is an ax murderer or something like that I’ll make a choice,” he joked. Otherwise, “I don’t think I need to get involved.”

Not all Democrats falling for Obama

Running against Hillary Clinton and beating her: Pretty cool…

Being the 1st black man to be nominated as a candidate for POTUS: Historical…

Getting your head handed to you by the Dems that you thought were yours for the taking: Priceless…

Who’s a brother supposed to trust?? Your preacher brings the wrath of the RNC down on you, a guest Priest brings even more wrath upon you, you advisers are being forced to resign due to perceived improprieties and then there’s that lingering rumor that the evil Republicans have a tape of your bowlegged wife giving a racially charged speech, and it’s hanging over your head because you claim to not be any kind of racist.

Hypocrisy abounds, and people try to make a big deal out of my remarks concerning Michelle Malkin.

Here’s a point to ponder, I’m a blogger, with a fun hobby, not a closet racist that’s running for POTUS, nor a faux intellectual that goes to other folks blogs calling them ‘fat’, at least I know who and what I am, and I have lost 80 pounds, but the faux intellectual is still a faux intellectual, one that lost a ton of credibility when he attacked me for being FAT.

The truth shall set you free!!

This is good news, after all, McCain is the best Democrat running this cycle. I had hoped that Clinton would pull some dasterdly trick and steel the nomination at the convention here this August. Thereby fracturing the commie party forever. But, alas…
Just goes to show you though, the best laid plans…

  2. Kate says:

(Go ahead, keep rubbing it in. sigh…) :P

I see a very interesting race in the fall. As little as Congress has done, other than spend money that’s not theirs, all the fallout from Wright, et al, I don’t see the big landslide the MSM are hoping for.

What’s making it tough is all us little people…you know, the REAL conservatives….who have to spout support for a man they don’t support. Maybe I should take up drinking right before I go into the voting booth. :?

  3. TexasFred says:

Patrick, you are VERY correct, McCain IS a Dem, because he’s not even close to Dem Lite, and he’s damned sure not a Conservative…

People ask me, “Fred, how can you say that about the distinguished Senator??”

And to that I say, read his record on GUNS…

    McCain Faces the NRA

    I rest MY case..

  4. Bushwack says:

Well now I am really confuddled, Are you, or are you not Fat? I thought you were just a Racist, now I hear you are fat too? say it isn’t so Fred. sigh

Obama Drama is going to be center stage on the internet, but the media darling will likely not get a scratch over the air waves. McCain will lose to Obama in the General election, unless he picks a SOLID conservative as a running mate. Even then the odds are against him.

McCain is soured milk IMO, his Kennedy coalition, his gun grabbing, his attachment to Bush, his Illegal Invasion views, are all going to sink him.

The only reason I can think of to vote for him over Obama is the SCOTUS appointments that might come up.
Truly a dark time in our nation.

  5. TexasFred says:

I’m not a fat racist Bushwack, I’m not an anorexic racist either, I’m a pleasingly plump racist… :P

And I detect a bit of racial overtones in your Truly a dark time in our nation. statement, are you making a racial statement Bushwack??

Because if you want to be a real racist, you’re gonna have to do a hell of a lot better than that!!

  6. Bloviating Zeppelin says:

But here’s the catch, as you pointed out prior: the DEM (Defeatist, Elitist Media) will STILL continue to fall all over themselves for Obam — and DON’T confuse them with they facts, they simply won’t listen. This guy is turning out to be even MORE Teflon than WJC. And who was the F.I. calling you fat?

    BZ

  7. TexasFred says:

And who was the F.I. calling you fat?
    *******************
Dr Donald Dickless, the one that went to JJ’s blog and started shit about the CORPS and telling me and Gunz what sorry asses we were because we didn’t support the war in Iraq…

The one that I then asked, how many years did HE spend in uniform, what was HIS rank at discharge, what percentage of disability did HIS service leave him with, how many men were in HIS command, so forth and so on…

And all I got was attacked for being FAT, can you imagine that?? He came to Isn’t it Rich and found a pic of me and Rich having lunch and a beer and attacked me for being FAT…

Rich deleted it and had a few choice words to say in regards of the faux intellectual Dr Donnie Dickless… :P

  8. Jo says:

Perhaps the dimwits realize we CANNOT survive a Balack Obama presidency ?
By the way, calling someone fat is white trash tacky…kinda like if I were to say Mrs. Balack Obama was a big butted bow-legged hootchie mama wannabe….but I would never say that…because I have me some manners !!!!

  9. ablur says:

Suddenly someone realized that their candidate was FAR left and the moderates of the party might not fall lockstep in behind the candidate. I am shocked the Pied Pipers tune is starting to lose its hypnotic powers.

Fortunately you are right about McCain being a Democrat. It does make for an interesting choice when your party is divided over the candidates.

The Republicans are also divided. The moderate RINOs in the party have a candidate but the conservative crowd can only choose to vote against a candidate. It is up to us to motivate them to actually make that vote.

  10. Katie says:

This ex-Democrat isn’t voting for Barack Hussein Obama, none of her friends who are Democrats are voting for him, none of her friends who are independents are voting for him.

So where are those voters for him? They are the college students (brainwashed by their ultra-liberal professors) and blacks.

My Hispanic neighbors aren’t voting for him, just because he’s black. My Asian (from
Japan) neighbors like McCain for his integrity. And my black neighbors are Republican, pro-life and pro-McCain.

It looks like dear Obama will have a hard time finding new voters to vote for him.

  11. Patrick Sperry says:

Despite McCain’s statements to the NRA, of which I am a life member. I remember his asinine statements when he came here right after Columbine. I also have his complete record having to do with Second Amendment rights. He’s no friend to gun owners.

As for Michelle Obama? She sure as hell looks a lot like this hootchi crack ho that hangs out on east Colfax …
