President Bush Disappointed by Congress’s Failure to Act on Comprehensive Immigration Reform

THE PRESIDENT: I thank the members of the Senate and members of my administration who worked so hard on the border security and immigration reform bill. I’m sorry the Senate was unable to reach agreement on the bill this morning.

Legal immigration is one of the top concerns of the American people and Congress’s failure to act on it is a disappointment. The American people understand the status quo is unacceptable when it comes to our immigration laws. A lot of us worked hard to see if we couldn’t find a common ground — it didn’t work.

Congress really needs to prove to the American people that it can come together on hard issues. The Congress needs to work on comprehensive energy policy and good health care; make sure health care is affordable without inviting the federal government to run the health care system. We’ve got to work together to make sure we can balance this federal budget, and not overspend or raise taxes on the American people. We’ve got a lot of work to do.

When they come back from the summer — from the July recess, before the summer break begins, we’ll be focusing on the appropriations process. And I look forward to working with Congress to balance our budgets and to be wise about how we spend the people’s money.

Thank you for your time.

END 12:40 P.M. EDT

Wow, Bush is disappointed, he’s disappointed because for the 1st time in a long time the elected officials of this nation actually did what they are elected to do, they accurately represented the will of the electorate, us, you and me, WE, THE PEOPLE!!

George Bush and his lackey’s in the Senate, everyone that voted FOR the amnesty bill, got an education in government today, government the way it is supposed to be, government where the will of the people trumps the wishes of the few, with the President and 46 Senators being the few…

Today was a resounding victory for Americans, not just the Conservatives, but for ALL Americans, Conservatives lead the way, and Bloggers nationwide did everything they could to get the word to as many people as possible, and we did the job, and did it very well…

Thank God for the internet and blogs like yours and others.
We are able to wrest from the hands of arrogant politicians, the concepts and ideas that the American people want to have in place. Your statistics show that the majority of people don’t want the immigration policies put into place that Bush, and other morons, are trying to foist upon us, against our will!!!!
Thanks to you and others this bill was killed on the floor.
    Good job Fred,
    Keep it up my friend.

    Boo-fucking-hoo.

There is a REASON THAT CERTAIN REPUBLICANS AND ALL DEMOCRATS want to re-institute the Fairness Doctrine.

And that’s because an INFORMED ELECTORATE is a DANGEROUS ELECTORATE.

    To the POLITICIANS.

He was disappointed that the voice of the people were heard as were many of the senators when they realized that we want true Conservatives and not Country Club Republicans.

I have been hitting on this issue for months. It is about time the peoples voice is heard. I was beginning to think our nation was highjacked by the royal families.

We need to continue pounding on the issue until we actually do something to resolve the problem. There are plenty of laws on the books that can solve this problem. The only new law I would back is the one disallowing all business deductions for non matching ss# of employees. This would stop the employment of illegal workers almost immediately. If they can’t get a job they will leave. They got here, I’m sure they know the way out.

    In addition to what everyone else has said;

    President Bush disappointed me…

By not finishing the ass kicking that Afghanistan had coming.

By not giving decent ROE’s to our Armed Forces and Border Patrol.

By saying that he would sign a reauthorization of the AWB.

By showing more loyalty to his buddies south of the border than to the American people.

By not pardoning Border Patrol Agents that have been wrongfully convicted of crimes when they were doing exactly what they were supposed to be doing.

By not having the Prosecutor in the above sent away, far, far, away, say, to the mountains of Afghanistan.

By not knowing how the hell to say the word nuclear.

I could go on… But i think that all of you get the picture…

This is indeed great news. My CIC’s “disappointment” baffles me. His support of the amnesty program has baffled me for a while now. Unfortunately, that’s about all that I can say, except “screw Murtha and Pelosi in the ass with a flaming telephone pole.” That felt good.

A few days ago I was listening to the John Gibson “talk radio” show and he had a woman guest from a think tank in Washington on his show. She was supposedly a conservative republican. She was all for the Bush immigration bill and wanted even more hispanics brought into the country. All she talked about was how our economy needed them. She said we needed to expand the economy more and more and the way to do it was to bring in many more of these people. I was shocked listening to her and thought ” if this is the kind of crap that Bush is being fed….no wonder He’s pushing on this thing.”

A while back back Bush called the minutenen( who I greatly respect) vigilantees. I knew right then where the real George Bush stood. He began to lose my support back then along with the rest of conservative America.

I am guessing that useless POS Bush Bots all over are crying their eyes out today, their fearless leader got his head handed to him on a platter…

Amy and Johnny and Gayle and CatBox and all the other Bushkateers are having a pity party as they talk about what a mean bunch of assholes all us Conservatives are…

Well, once in a while justice DOES triumph, and soon we’ll get our guys OUT of Iraq and then once we have a REAL Conservative as President we can actually focus on the USA and protecting her from the terrorists that would destroy her instead of wasting American lives, money and time on a bunch of ragheaded shit for brains Iraqis that will NEVER be our allies…

George W. Bush has screwed this nation up in so many ways it’s almost unbelievable, but it appears that the voters and our elected officials are in the process of unscrewing America…

Stick that up you ass and rotate a while Bushkateers…
