Texas Can leave Union If It Wants To - Yes WE can!

April 16th, 2009 . by TexasFred

Texas does NOT have to sit back and take this crap!

Leave the union?? To evoke a minor play on words from The Obamessiah himself, yes, WE can! And once upon a time I would never have dreamed of advocating a secession from the USA. Times have changed. Texas CAN change!

And that is CHANGE Texans can believe in!

Good folks FROM Arkansas can, but the state itself?? You guys were a part of the Louisiana Purchase… I don’t think we really want Arkansas…

Yes sir, but I’d miss Texas. I wish all the states would wake up and realize that their rights are being stolen. Then nobody would need to leave.

Well, if not Arkansas, how about Arizona? We foisted Napolitano out of here, can we join now?

    Please?

(ps - to the rest of the US - sorry about that Napolitano thing. Really. Next time we’ll make sure the gate is closed.)

I still think that Secession was legal and that Ole Abe committed a crime in what really should be called the War of Northern Aggression…that said I don’t think breaking up the Union is the answer….I do believe we should return to States Rights (this issue was overshadowed by the Slavery issue and the abolitionists)…..and not just less Federal Government and intervention but Way Way Less Federal Government and intervention…..what we have now would definitely cause a lot of rolling over in graves by the Founding Fathers…..I daresay if they could have seen the future we all would have British Accents….they might have decided it wasn’t worth risking all to produce what we have now…I truly believe that people would become more involved at the State level because they would feel that they could influence and produce change at the State level….I believe that a lot of the apathy (pure and abject) is a result of having a feeling of not being able to change things….this is clearly shown by the number of voters who turn out…..

Esta no problemo gringo. ¡Tenemos un parque zoológico, y los tigres, los leones y otros animales tienen que comer!

I’m with JD3; secession is not the answer — HOWEVER, the media attention acquired by publicly bringing the issue to the table IS necessary to finally bring the severity of the situation into focus, and to make certain DC elements believe that the straits are DIRE and that those considering secession are SERIOUS.

Secession is a last resort, and boys and girls, we are damn near there now…

If Obama is the answer, it was a really messed up question… :?

BO wants to be just like Lincoln. I guess that means sucession and civil war too.

I want to be a Texan! Have a niece in Spring, do you suppose she will let me stay with her?

To Botan: No need to apologize for Arizona dear :) Hell, I have to apologize EVERY DAY for our numb-skull Harry Reid from my state of Nevada :)

Great video Fred! I miss Texas dearly, but my dream…yep “I have a dream…” is that someday ALL states will be JUST LIKE TEXAS :)

My step-son just moved to Mesquite and my wife loves it there when she visits him. If I could get my oldest son to move there, I would be in Texas in a heartbeat.

The Texas Nationalist Movement already has a bumper sticker ready for you here! I’ve misplaced mine, some I’m gonna order some more, one of each this time, and a shirt. No mistaking my pickup!

    Malinda - point taken.

Hmm - maybe if we got Reid and Nappy together…

Nah, wouldn’t work - neither seems interested in the other, if you get my drift!
