WASHINGTON (AP) - Democrats retreated Tuesday from a quick push to pass President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul, lacking a workable strategy to salvage the sweeping legislation that has consumed Congress for more than a year.
“There is no rush,” Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said after a meeting of Senate Democrats. His comments came as two centrists said they would oppose the plan Democratic leaders were considering to reconcile differences between the House and Senate bills and put comprehensive legislation on Obama’s desk.
A week after the loss of a Massachusetts Senate seat - their 60th vote - cost Democrats undisputed control of the congressional agenda, leaders are still casting about for a way forward. Given the congressional schedule, it could be weeks - the end of February at the earliest - before they act.
“There are no easy choices,” acknowledged House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md, insisting that the goal remains the same: to pass far-reaching legislation that would expand coverage, reduce costs and improve quality.

Have you ever seen a fish out of water, seen the way their gills throb as they try to breathe? That’s what the Dems remind me of, a fish out of water, gasping, knowing that they’re currently enjoying their last conscious moment before death. Desperation is written all over them.
The Dems have made fools of themselves and their electorate. They have tried to destroy this nation with bailouts, TARP, Cap and Trade and this debacle called ObamaCare! It’s time for the people of the United States to take matters into their own hands and get these clowns OUT of office. Banish them to the world of Hades and let them suffer for their sins!
Harry Reid says, all of a sudden, “There is no rush”.
You old fool, you have been screaming and crying, bullying, threatening and only God knows what else, and now “There is no rush” ??
To the good folks of Nevada I have to say this, cut the head off of that fish named Harry Reid. I know you folks can do it! You have to do it, Massachusetts has placed the ball into play for all states that have Dem leadership and representation. They have shown you what can be done, Harry Reid gives you every reason to do it too.
And to the people of California, I know that you have an overabundance of libbers, tree huggers, assorted moonbats and all around weird creatures. You folks can seize the moment too, but you’ll have to work together.

Burt Prelutsky nailed it! But here is the reality of the matter, you good folks out there in the state of California can either get it all together and take your state back in 2010 and 2012 or you need to get the hell OUT and let us know you’re gone.
We must take the U.S. Senate and House back with a solid Conservative majority, NOT a bunch of moonbats and freaks, but REAL Americans, with morals, scruples and integrity. No more of this accepting the lesser of the evils, no more letting the RINOs run the Republican party, we have to elect the best and the brightest America has to offer and then we hold their feet to the fire and never let a debacle like the Obama administration rise to power, ever again!
If we don’t take control of this nation, if we don’t pull the USA out of the tailspin we’re in, you can bet it’s only going to get worse, and you can bet that ObamaCare won’t go away! If we don’t take America back ObamaCare, Cap and Trade, TARP and very soon, amnesty for ILLEGALS will all come to fruition and the USA will cease to exist!
I don’t know about you, but as for me, I am NOT going to live in a socialist, communist, Marxist or NAZI nation. I will not go along with the program, and I won’t go away quietly!

I was reported last night on Hannity that the Senate was trying to work out a secret back door deal with the house. The Senate wants the House to pass the Senate bill intact right away. It was said then, that 51 senators had signed a paper affirming that AFTER the Senate bill got passed that they would introduce legislation to rescind the deal with Nebraska and and Florida and introduce legislation to modify other parts of the bill, but that all of those items would come under the “budget” and therefore would only need a minimum of 51 votes to pass.
Do not kid yourself. Health care is still on the table and being actively worked. They are going to try to ram it thru no matter what anyone says or wants. It ain’t over till the fat lady sings and she has not even begun to warm up yet.
Even if they get this monstrosity passed and then all the Dems lose in the next election they will still have done irreparable harm to this country that will last for many years.
Look for a crisis to appear so Democrats can slip health care by on the sly. That was the Clinton mode of operation. Every time he got into trouble, we knew we were going to deploy. I was with a KC-135 outfit and nobody deploys anywhere in the world until tankers are in place to complete the “air bridge”. Whenever a scandal or crisis hit Clinton, we would pack out bags and get the aircraft ready because as sure as the sun rises in the East, we were deploying. The pisser was many times they happened right before Christmas.
It’ll be funny after we reelect the RINO’s to office….they implode the same way, maybe for different reasons. But face it…they all will fail because of corruption.
Well, everyone is calling the speech tonight “The State of Confusion” speech aka STFU. I’m not watching, but I’m going to tune in on Facebook to see what Joe Wilson has to say about it just for grins and giggles. LOL!!!

For months we were told that there was a healthcare crisis that had to be solved RIGHT NOW! or else there would be disaster. Now we are told there is not rush. These people are fools and they think that we are fools. The bill is dead and now they have to make it seem like this is no big deal.
