Vandals leave Swastikas, beans at Capitol

The conflict over a sweeping crackdown on illegal immigration in Arizona intensified Monday as vandals smeared refried beans in the shape of swastikas on the state Capitol’s windows.

More protests were planned Monday after thousands gathered this weekend to demonstrate against a bill that will make it a state crime to be an illegal immigrant in Arizona.

Arizona immigration law: Vandals leave Swastikas, beans at Capitol

OK, I gotta say it, these illegals, and their supporters, are dumber than a bag of dog poop!

They don’t have the vaguest idea that there’s a difference between RACE and ETHNICITY. They are crying about this racist law. RACIST law! You see, I can’t get anyone to show me, anywhere, that ILLEGAL is defined as a race.

ILLEGAL is a term applied to something that is against the law. I suppose, given these clowns definition of a racist, apparently every law enforcement officer (LEO) in the USA is a racist.

It appears that there is a large group of Hispanics that believe they are about to be unfairly targeted, about to be forced to prove that they are here in the USA legally. Well, pay very close attention mi amigos, I am a dark complexioned gringo, I had dark hair and beard when I was younger and I have been, on MANY occasions, assumed to be a Hispanic by folks that ARE! I had to explain, more than once, that a Cajun isn’t a Spanish speaker.

I lived in El Paso, Texas for 9 years, I can’t tell you the number of times I had Spanish speakers come up to me and start rattling off in their native lingo. I don’t speak much Spanish, I can order a beer, a plate of fajitas, nachos, some enchiladas and tortillas, but that’s about it.

I have, on occasion, had a Border Patrol agent ask me my citizenship. As soon as I opened my mouth and answered, they said, “Thank you Sir, have a great day!” and I was on my way.

Opponents say the law will lead to rampant racial profiling and turn Arizona into a police state with provisions that require police to question people about their immigrant status if they suspect they are here illegally. Day laborers can be arrested for soliciting work if they are in the U.S. illegally, and police departments can be sued if they don’t carry out the law.

And this presents a problem?? How?? If I may ask?

If these day laborers are ILLEGALS, well, I guess that’s the breaks, adios, via con dios, and don’t come back until you have a Green Card pinche pendejo!

OK, so I picked up a little bit of Spanish living in El Paso, and in Texas for the biggest part of my life… 😛

And before I forget it, they smeared refried beans in the shape of swastikas on the windows of the state Capitol? Not only is that a highly immature waste of refried beans, but wouldn’t that be a very denigrating act if a pinche gringo had done it? And to connect it to NAZI Germany too? I really don’t know what these people hope to accomplish with that move…

But supporters of the law, set to take effect in late July or August, say it is necessary to protect Arizonans from a litany of crimes committed by illegal immigrants. Arizona is home to an estimated 460,000 illegal immigrants.

You will notice, Arizona is NOT trying to single out ANY group in particular, other than illegals, so, I have to ask, are ALL of these protesters ILLEGAL? Do they have a guilty conscience? Are they afraid that they will be held to the law of the land? Is that the problem?

I can’t find anything written anywhere that indicates Arizona saying, “We are going to detain and question all Hispanic looking people”, what I see is a law that states an officer, in the course of his/her duties, will ask you if you are a legal resident of this nation, no matter WHO you are or what you look like.

How hard can it be? If you’re legal, you’re legal, if you’re NOT legal, you’re a lawbreaking criminal and woe be unto you and yours!

Arizona officers would arrest people found to be undocumented and turn them over to federal immigration officers. Opponents said the federal government can block the law by refusing to accept them.

I’m going to let my readers in on a little known fact, little known to folks outside of the LEO community, the Feds are NOT, for the most part, coming to pick up ILLEGALS anyway. I know, personally, of departments that have had occasion to arrest ILLEGALS and have called ICE, INS, Border Patrol, God knows who else, asking them to please come and get them and deport them. It’s NOT being done my friends.

I am far removed from ANY active enforcement these days, but many years ago, when I lived in El Paso, I was friends with several Border Patrol agents. They were SO proud, the INS had built them a beautiful new processing and holding facility out on Montana Blvd. It was a really nice place. Clean, modern, efficient, and they had 3 or 4 really nice buses to use to transport Mexican detainees back to Juarez.

Understand now, we’re talking 20 to 25 years ago.

The Border Patrol would work their tails off doing a roundup. They would bring them to the new holding and processing center and they would document their catch and then transport them back across the border to Mexico.

In more cases than not, the majority of the recently detained and deported illegals were back in the USA before the Border Patrol guys were back at their new facility!

Democratic Rep. Raul Grijalva asked the federal government not to cooperate when illegal immigrants are picked up by local police.

What does it say about an elected official, Raul Grijalva, when he asks the federal government to NOT do the job of protecting this nation that they are sworn, by oath, and charged by the U.S. Constitution to do? What kind of traitorous law breaker is this Raul Grijalva?

State Sen. Russell Pearce, the Republican who sponsored the legislation, said it’s “pretty disappointing” that opponents would call on the federal government to refuse to cooperate with Arizona authorities.

“It’s outrageous that these people continue to support law breakers over law keepers,” Pearce said Sunday.

And that my friends, as they say, is that!

  1. Texasperated says:

Number one: consider if a group of TEA partiers were similarly decorating the state capital of AZ. Would there not be a hue and cry about how our extremist acts would inevitably lead to violence (think Bill Clinton this past April 19th)? But that is just for a start.

The truth is if our judges had anything under their skirts, er… I mean robes … they would issue writs of mandamus requiring the feds to enforce existing immigration laws. But since this is a situation in which the judges themselves are complicit, that will not happen anytime soon.

    Joe Arpaio, are you listening?

  2. Katie says:

I wonder if we can ever get the Feds to obey the Constitution?

  3. cary says:

Grijalva is not my representative. Heck, even the critter who claims to be my representative is not my representative. Not too often you get told to stop communicating with a congressional critter…

Anyway, Grijalva is just worried that he’s going to be asked for his papers the next time he gets pulled over for breaking a traffic law. If he blusters enough, I’m pretty sure he’ll try to get deported and then raise a big stink about it.

If ICE had been on their toes, they could have avoided these issues a long time ago by showing up at the “No Immigrants For A Day” protests that were held a while back - they could have deported the bunch of them then. And, naturally, they missed their opportunity with these latest protests, too.

By the way, does the UCMJ cover those in ROTC? Take a look at this picture and tell me if the chica in the lower right is in any kind of trouble?

  4. Robert says:

Luckily Al Sharpton will be there to help the unfairness of this illegal action against people of color…Damn Sweed’s got some help now!

I can’t believe the bullshit personally, no matter what is tried to solve the problem these illegal pieces of shit are not happy about it. I would bet that a law put up for a vote that included, amnesty for all, an open boarder, the abolishing of the ICE agency and a grand cash for them all for the oppression, that included a provision that said if you are illegally in the country you have to register as a citizen, you would still see protests by these assholes.

I think the more they do this type of thing Fred, the more the American public turns against them. I also think the LEGAL Immigrant MEXICAN community needs to be outspoken in AMERICA’S rights to control our own borders. IF not they need to be sent back to Mexico too..

I would also like to see every illegal in our prison system that is there for murder of LEGAL Americans SHOT DEAD and the body sent back to Mexico. We are paying for the scum to sit in a cell get 3 hots and a cot and free health care. A bullet is much cheaper.

  5. Gawfer says:

Sheriff Joe is merely doing what the Federal Government has refused to do; protect our citizens from foreign invaders. I heard him interviewed this morning , and he is quite excited to have the Reverend Al Sharpton visit again, stating that every time the rev shows up, Sheriff Joe’s ratings go up.

Funny, but I don’t remember this kind of hoopla when Oklahoma passed the same law a couple of years ago causing a mass voluntary deportation of illegal immigrants. The drag is they’ll all move to Mexifornia now.

  6. Bloviating Zeppelin says:

Here’s another point that is PURPOSELY ignored:

AZ police officials would have to have some sort of suspicion or probable cause to instigate, at minimum, a contact.

It ISN’T a matter of a wholesale shakedown of Mexicans.

But, of course, the media has PURPOSELY OBSCURED this portion of the AZ bill.

    Huh. Imagine that.

  7. BobF says:

Refried beans in the shape of a swastika? Maybe they’re trying to remind us how Mexico didn’t fight against Germany in WWII? Or, maybe they’re letting us know how it was Hispanic countries in South America that welcomed Nazi war criminals who were escaping the Allies?

  8. PatriotUSA says:

Relating this to the Nazi’s is just stupid and dumb but then we are dealing with far left activists, the mullah obamaham and the MSM(AKA PMSNBC, NPR etc..) whipping this up into what we are seeing before our eyes. A fact a few have noticed: look at all the out of staters in Arizona to protest this fantastic law that should be the model and start of a FEDERAL
illegal immigration law. I heard while I was driving today about all thes out of staters and it was slime show for the leftards to come bash those who love hits country. F-k these illegals from ALL countries who are squatting here, slurping up our social services until we are almost bankrupt, as a nation. These are plays right out of the socialist, communist playbook of Ayers and Alinsky. In the long run this will backfire badly and I think more people will become disgusted with this behavior. It is like a bunch of mussie fools running loose in England or France. Deport them all and yes, if need be in body bags.

    BZ: Excellent point!

  9. Kate says:

Now that it is law, why aren’t the cops doing a Little Big Horn on all those protesters?

  10. Katie says:

    Question of the day:

If the US is such a racist country why hasn’t Al Sharpton been lynched yet?

  11. Robin in Texas says:

I do hope Rick Perry is paying attention.
When the Feds are called in, they will probably put the illegals on a bus and bring them to Texas. Of course we will not even discuss this until January. I heard somewhere that DC is short a few million illegals!!!

  12. ng4779 says:

These protesters should READ the law. Arizona’s new law specifically says race and ethnicity cannot be the sole factors in determining a reasonable suspicion.

  13. Kate says:

Since when do such folk let the facts get in the way?

  14. Ron Russell says:

I personally have friends south of the border who are blue-eyed blondes and true Latinos. True most are dark-skinned Mestizos, a mixture of Indian and Spanish. But like you say Fred, this is not about race, but illegals The liberal will play the race card again and again and I for one am very sick of hearing it spouted over and over and even by president Obayme. I’m sick of hearing racism every time I turn around. Just this past week several blocks from my front door an 85 year old white woman was shot 4 times by two blacks as she sat in her car in broad daylight-yep, they wanted her purse. And now I’m hearing racism expressed by some in the black community. Racism is a term used to cover an ugly truth by those who refuse to see it.

  15. Steve Dennis says:

One thing is certain, the Obama administration is going to use this to push his amnesty bill hard before the next election.
Arizona was tired of waiting for the federal government to act so they did. Now the feds will act, but we aren’t going to like their answer. This is going to be the next big fight.

  16. minuteman26 says:

Fred, they’re beaners; can’t expect much else.

  17. TexasFred says:

All these people bitching about Arizona enforcing immigration laws and calling for boycotts and such, maybe Arizona doesn’t need those ILLEGAL loving idiots either…

And so Arizona loses a few bucks on tourism from libbers? Big deal, they’ll more than make up for it when the crime rate drops because the ILLEGALS are gone…

  18. ng4779 says:

Mexico welcomes only foreigners who will be useful to Mexican society:

    * Foreigners are admitted into Mexico “according to their possibilities of contributing to national progress.” (Article 32)

    * Immigration officials must “ensure” that “immigrants will be useful elements for the country and that they have the necessary funds for their sustenance” and for their dependents. (Article 34)

    * Foreigners may be barred from the country if their presence upsets “the equilibrium of the national demographics,” when foreigners are deemed detrimental to “economic or national interests,” when they do not behave like good citizens in their own country, when they have broken Mexican laws, and when “they are not found to be physically or mentally healthy.” (Article 37)

    * The Secretary of Governance may “suspend or prohibit the admission of foreigners when he determines it to be in the national interest.” (Article 38)

Mexican authorities must keep track of every single person in the country:

    * Federal, local and municipal police must cooperate with federal immigration authorities upon request, i.e., to assist in the arrests of illegal immigrants. (Article 73)

    * A National Population Registry keeps track of “every single individual who comprises the population of the country,” and verifies each individual’s identity. (Articles 85 and 86)

    * A national Catalog of Foreigners tracks foreign tourists and immigrants (Article 87), and assigns each individual with a unique tracking number (Article 91).

Foreigners with fake papers, or who enter the country under false pretenses, may be imprisoned:

    * Foreigners with fake immigration papers may be fined or imprisoned. (Article 116)

    * Foreigners who sign government documents “with a signature that is false or different from that which he normally uses” are subject to fine and imprisonment. (Article 116)

Foreigners who fail to obey the rules will be fined, deported, and/or imprisoned as felons:

    * Foreigners who fail to obey a deportation order are to be punished. (Article 117)

    * Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country without authorization can be imprisoned for up to 10 years. (Article 118)

    * Foreigners who violate the terms of their visa may be sentenced to up to six years in prison (Articles 119, 120 and 121). Foreigners who misrepresent the terms of their visa while in Mexico — such as working with out a permit — can also be imprisoned.

Under Mexican law, illegal immigration is a felony. The General Law on Population says,

    * “A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally.” (Article 123)

    * Foreigners with legal immigration problems may be deported from Mexico instead of being imprisoned. (Article 125)

    * Foreigners who “attempt against national sovereignty or security” will be deported. (Article 126)

Mexicans who help illegal aliens enter the country are themselves considered criminals under the law:

    * A Mexican who marries a foreigner with the sole objective of helping the foreigner live in the country is subject to up to five years in prison. (Article 127)

    * Shipping and airline companies that bring undocumented foreigners into Mexico will be fined. (Article 132)

Every alien, eighteen years of age and over, shall at all times carry with him and have in his personal possession any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to him pursuant to subsection (d) of this section. Any alien who fails to comply with the provisions of this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction for each offense be fined not to exceed $100 or be imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both.

  20. Bloviating Zeppelin says:

ng4779: EXcellent information to have, and thank you kindly for providing it. Isn’t it odd that’s it’s bad for America to determine who may and may not lawfully enter the country, yet entry into Mexico from the south is geometrically more stringent than the US. And yes, Steve Dennis, you can COUNT on Obaka ramping up for amnesty now.

  21. ng4779 says:

You are welcome Bloviating Zeppelin. Yes, the entire garbage pile is odd. It is no surprise that they are trying once again to ensure that they can perpetrate as much fraud as possible during the 2010 elections. As we fuss and fume over this, guess what else they have been doing to ensure that they stay in power? I found this via TDN’s post on the “stolen” election of 2010. I must say that it looks like that is where we are heading. We cannot become overly distracted.

“Late in March, a 72-page bill was suddenly introduced and rushed forward with only abbreviated hearings. The bill would have given “nationally recognized” community organizing groups access to the state driver’s license database to encourage voter turnout.”

“Requests for an absentee ballot in a single election would also become permanent, and the ballots would be automatically mailed out in future elections.”

The “bill would also have allowed voters to register on the Internet without supplying a signature…”

Now Fred, I am going to have to ask you to quit insulting dog poop in this manner! Dog poop every where does not deserve to be compared intellectually with “these stupid people” who think enforcing the law and protecting the citizens of this nation is somehow wrong! Just standing up for poor ole dog poop! LOL!

Another great common sense piece Fred!
