GOP attorney generals threaten suit over Nebraska health deal

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Republican attorneys general in 13 states say congressional leaders must remove Nebraska’s political deal from the federal health care overhaul bill or face legal action, according to a letter provided to The Associated Press Wednesday.

“We believe this provision is constitutionally flawed,” South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster and the 12 other attorneys general wrote in the letter to be sent Wednesday night to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

“As chief legal officers of our states we are contemplating a legal challenge to this provision and we ask you to take action to render this challenge unnecessary by striking that provision,” they wrote.

In a rare Christmas Eve vote, Senate Democrats pushed sweeping health care legislation to the brink of Senate passage, crushing a year-end Republican filibuster against President Obama’s call to remake the nation’s health care system. The 60-39 vote marked the third time in as many days Democrats posted a supermajority needed to advance the legislation.

I can’t fault these attorneys general, not in ANY way. But if we’re going to stand against the oh so sweetheart deal that Ben Nelson got for Nebraska, why can we go after the biggest WHORE in the Senate? I am talking about Mary *$300M* Landrieu of Louisiana.

Landrieu sold her vote on ObamaCare to harry Reid for a paltry $300 MILLION dollars!

“It’s not $100 million, it’s $300 million, and I’m proud of it and will keep fighting for it,? she told reporters after a floor speech announcing her support of a vote to begin debate on healthcare reform. SOURCE

I don’t care what you call it or how you look at it, Mary Landrieu sold her vote. In doing so, she sold her integrity as well, what integrity she had that is. She prostituted her vote! I don’t care how you cut it, she has whored herself to Harry Reid and this debacle known as ObamaCare!

Last week, McMaster said he was leading several other attorneys general in an inquiry into the constitutionality of the estimated $100 million deal he has dubbed the “Cornhusker Kickback.”

I am proud to say, our Texas Attorney General, Mr. Greg Abbott, has signed on to this.

The letter was signed by top prosecutors in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Michigan, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington state. All are Republicans, and McMaster and the attorneys general of Florida, Michigan and Pennsylvania are running for governor in their respective states. SOURCE

I am fairly certain that the cry your hear in the background is the sniveling leftists as they cry, “Curses, foiled again!”.

I think we all know that the left will say this action by the attorneys general is nothing more than a brazen political move designed to stop the Dems from giving, GIVING I say, giving Americans the healthcare they truly deserve.

McMaster says if the bill goes through to final approval with the benefit to Nebraska, taxpayers in the other 49 states will have to pay for it.

Senate Dems reach 60 vote threshold on health bill

Senate Dems reach 60 vote threshold on health bill
WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic leaders secure the support of Sen. Ben Nelson to provide the 60th and deciding vote for sweeping health care legislation in the Senate, capping a year of struggle and a final burst of deadline bargaining on President Barack Obama’s top domestic priority.

Nelson, D-Neb., said he made his decision after winning fresh concessions to limit the availability of abortions in insurance sold in newly created exchanges, as well as tens of million in federal Medicaid funds for his home state.

“I know this is hard for some of my colleagues to accept and I appreciate their right to disagree,” he said at a news conference in the Capitol, referring to the abortion issue. “But I would not have voted for this bill without these provisions.”

He also noted he had successfully fended off attempts to provide for a government-run insurance option to compete with private insurers.

“It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.” ~Ronald Reagan~

Prostitution - noun
1. the act or practice of engaging in sexual intercourse for money.
2. base or unworthy use, as of talent or ability.
3. The act or an instance of offering or devoting one’s talent to an unworthy use or cause.

That would be the Definition of Prostitution at Dictionary.com. There are even more graphic ways to illustrate the definition of prostitution. The way Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska sold out to the healthcare bill is one illustration.

I’m guessing that my readers are going to realize, the (P) following Sen. Nelson’s name stands for nothing other than PROSTITUTE!

Health care bill faces a crucial Senate vote

Health care bill faces a crucial Senate vote

WASHINGTON (AP) - Democrats called a revamp of the nation’s health care system long overdue as historic legislation advanced toward a Saturday night Senate showdown, an early test of party unity on President Barack Obama’s top domestic initiative

“The country suffers when there is a failure to act on serious challenges that millions of ordinary Americans face in their daily lives,” Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., said during debate in a rare weekend session.

Democratic leaders are optimistic of success, but they need every Democrat and both independents to vote “yes,” and two moderates remained uncommitted ahead of the roll call, which is expected around 8 p.m. EST. The vote will determine whether debate can go forward on Majority Leader Harry Reid’s 2,074-page bill to overhaul health care over the next decade.

United in opposition, Republicans cast the bill as a costly government takeover, built on budget gimmicks.

Health care bill faces a crucial Senate vote

I’m seeing a lot of folks on Facebook, and in various blogs, making that last minute desperation plea for everyone to call this Senator or that Senator and tell them to vote NO on ObamaCare.

Here’s the truth folks, and this will NOT make me popular with some of you, but, that’s OK too. I don’t blog to make other people happy anyway, I blog to make ME happy, and to speak the TRUTH as I see it.

The fix is in with of these cretins. This is what happens when you have a bunch of crooked Democratic welfare slugs standing around with their hands out. And lets face the facts, if YOUR Senator hasn’t already made up his/her, and made an open statement regarding their vote on this debacle at this late date, well, it’s a bit too late to be trying to influence them now.

The two Democratic holdouts are Sens. Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana. A third centrist, Ben Nelson of Nebraska, announced Friday that he’d be supporting his party on the test vote, while cautioning that it didn’t mean he’d be with them on the final vote.

I’m going to offer MY opinion on Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, and again, I may not make some people happy with that opinion, but what the hell…

Mary Landrieu is a WHORE! Bought and paid for. Call it whatever you like, WHORE is how I see it, because it seems that she was assured $100 MILLION dollars for the state of Louisiana FOR her vote and her continued support of the Democratic party line.

I have NO knowledge of Sens. Blanche Lincoln and Ben Nelson, I will leave them to be soundly trounced by the folks that DO know them.

I am a native OF Louisiana. Thank GOD that I was able to make the escape from there! ALL of my immediate family still lives in Louisiana. I have a pretty solid finger on the pulse of Louisiana politics, and the less than scrupulous cretins that still find their way into office from that state. I have no problem with pointing out how they prostitute themselves instead of voting the wishes of their constituents.
