Obama’s church accuses media of character assassination
The Chicago church attended by Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) issued a statement Sunday contending that coverage of his pastor’s inflammatory remarks amounted to character assassination and “an attack on … the history of the African American church.”
Obama distanced himself from inflammatory comments by the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., retiring pastor at Trinity United Church of Christ, after they circulated on YouTube last week and were played repeatedly by cable news channels.
Wright, condemning society as racist, said, “God [expletive] America” and referred to the “U.S. of KKK-A.”
The statement begins: “Nearly three weeks before the 40th commemorative anniversary of the murder of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Reverend Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.’s character is being assassinated in the public sphere because he has preached a social gospel on behalf of oppressed women, children and men in America and around the globe.”
The statement adds: “Trinity United Church of Christ’s ministry is inclusive and global.”

I have tried to avoid this topic, I really have, because no matter what I say at this point, I am going to be accused of racism…
Why is it that a black individual can pretty much say anything they like and all you hear is ‘Well, you don’t know what the brother is feeling’ but if a white man says it, it’s a racist remark?? Can anyone explain that one to me??
With that said, I’m just gonna go ahead and say what’s on my mind and if I am accused of being a racist then by God, I’ll just BE a racist…

If it means supporting McCain to keep this skinny, purple lipped, half-assed black son of a bitch stealth muzzie OUT of the White House, then by God I’ll support McCain, I’d support Hillary to keep this sorry piece of garbage out of the White House, and I’d rather see Satan himself in the Oval Office as opposed to seeing Hillary there…
If Obamalamadingdong gets in the White House, we are down the tubes folks, if anyone believes that George W. Bush is one of the 2 worst presidents in recent history, and I do, I feel that this guy will make Bush and Carter both look like geniuses…

As much as I hate Bill and Hillary, I would rather have her there than Obama as would Ann Coulter, any day of the week.
Of course I will choose McCain, as Mark Levin said, any repubic would be a better choice than any Dem.

Similar to my post TF, glad to see you’re doing better.
As I said awhile back, Hillary is an idiot, but she’d be much better for the rest of us than Obama would; at least she’s concerned with herself too much to really kill us all
Of course hopefully McCain will beat whomever they put up and we can try to get him to be a conservative again or work to get one in ‘12.

The way I see it is:
Take any speech this pastor gave, substitute the word “White” for every Black or African American word in the speech, if you re-read it would you think it’s a HATE church?
I did it, with one of Obama’s pastors rants and it sounded like a klan meeting.

I never heard any speeches at Klan meetings I was always too busy getting the tar, feathers, and torches ready. Damn I always miss something!
