Bush: ‘Arab Spring’ Is ‘Broadest Challenge to Authoritarian Rule Since Collapse of Soviet Communism’

(CNSNews.com) – Former President George W. Bush said Tuesday that the Arab Spring is “the broadest challenge to authoritarian rule since the collapse of Soviet Communism.”

“These are extraordinary times in the history of freedom,” Bush said in a speech in Washington, D.C., sponsored by his presidential foundation, the George W. Bush Institute.

“In the Arab Spring we have seen the broadest challenge to authoritarian rule since the collapse of Soviet communism,” Bush said. “Great change has come to a region where many thought it impossible.

“The idea that Arab people are somehow content with oppression has been discredited forever,” Bush said. “Yet we’ve also seen instability, uncertainty, and the revenge of brutal rulers. The collapse of an old order can unleash resentments and power struggles that a new order is not yet prepared to handle.”

“Freedom is a powerful force,” Bush said, “but it does not advance on wheels of historical inevitability.” The event at which Bush spoke was entitled “Celebration of Human Freedom.”

It’s been a while since I made this statement on the blog; George W. Bush is a MORON

It’s as true now as it was 4 years ago, to the day, a day when George W. Bush convinced even his most ardent supporters that he truly IS a dim bulb when it comes to having an understanding of the FACT that there will NEVER be peace among Arabs and Muslims.

The above story is from May 15, 2012, the story below is from May 15, 2008, the original story and my commentary. Coincidence perhaps? Or repetitive mind lapses?

Bush envisions a democratic Middle East free of oppression

JERUSALEM (AP) – President Bush feted Israel on Thursday in honor of the 60th anniversary of its founding and predicted that its 120th birthday would find it alongside a Palestinian state and in an all-democratic neighborhood free of today’s oppression, restrictions on freedom and extremist Muslim movements.

Delivering this rosy forecast for the Middle East in 2068 during a speech to the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, Bush limited his mention of Palestinians to just one sentence. “The Palestinian people will have the homeland they have long dreamed of and deserved, a democratic state that is governed by law, and respects human rights, and rejects terror,” he said.

This scant talk of the other side of one of the world’s longest-running disputes contrasted jarringly with the more expansive treatment of the subject by Bush’s Israeli hosts.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told the lawmakers that he is working hard for an accord and believes “when the day comes for a historic peace agreement” that both the Knesset and the Israeli public will support it “by a large majority.” The chamber reacted with silence and nervous laughter, which Bush briefly joined. Two hardline lawmakers walked out of the chamber in protest during Olmert’s address.

Can the POTUS be forced to take a drug or alcohol test?? I don’t know who Bush thinks he stroking here but if he believes that BS he’s either drunk or stoned.

There will never be peace in the Mid-East, not as long as there is one Islamic radical left alive, if there is so much as one of the followers of Mohammad left breathing he will be doing everything in his power to destroy Israel, the Jews or any Christian he can find.

I guess Bush and Company have never studied history, recent or far past, if they had then they would know that what we’re seeing in the world now is a modern day version of The Crusades, and the outcome will not be any different now, or 60 years from now, than it was throughout the rest of history, The Crusades.

Islam will never peacefully coexist with Jews or Christians, it can’t happen, Islam is NOT a democratic religion or peaceful religion, it is a religion of dominance and violence against any who don’t submit to it’s teachings, the very thought of democracy or freedom is foreign to a Muslim, and why in the world George Bush thinks 60 year will change that, when hundreds of years hasn’t, well, it is beyond me.

There is only one way for democracy to reign in the Mid-East, and that will be for ALL Muslims to renounce their teachings and accept ALL Christians and Jews, male and female, as equals, once that happens there may be a slight chance of freedom spreading throughout that region of the world as oppression becomes a distant memory.

“From Cairo and Riyadh to Baghdad and Beirut, people will live in free and independent societies, where a desire for peace is reinforced by ties of diplomacy, tourism and trade,” he said. “Iran and Syria will be peaceful nations, where today’s oppression is a distant memory and people are free to speak their minds and develop their talents. And al-Qaida, Hezbollah and Hamas will be defeated, as Muslims across the region recognize the emptiness of the terrorists’ vision and the injustice of their cause.”

As Golda Meir said “Peace will come only when Palestinians love their children more than they hate Jews.”, and she was entirely correct, Mr. Bush seems to think he is talking about a sane people when he espouses his vision of peace, Mr. Bush, you may not want to accept it but al-Qaida, Hezbollah and Hamas are fairly good representations OF the true desires of Islam, it’s all about dominance and submission, and until that changes, nothing else will either.

Bush envisions a democratic Middle East free of oppression

Ladies and Gentlemen, it appears to me that George W. Bush hasn’t gotten ANY smarter regarding Islam, Arabs, freedom and democracy for Muslims and Arabs than he was 4 years ago.

If living under Sharia Law and Islamic rule isn’t authoritarian, then what is? What’s he going to call it when women are stoned in the streets and covered head to toe in a burka?

There will never be peace in the Middle East until Israel’s King returns and her enemies are destroyed at the Battle of Armageddon. For Bush to believe otherwise is for him to deny the bible and faith he says he believes.

When it comes to Islam W is a real dipshit.
