Bloomberg blasts ‘deafening silence’ on guns from Obama and Romney

(CNN) – New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg bemoaned Monday what he called a “deafening silence” on gun control from the two presidential candidates after a pair of high-profile shootings in Colorado and Wisconsin killed a combined 18 people.

Long an outspoken advocate for tighter restrictions on guns, Bloomberg originally called on President Barack Obama and his Republican challenger Mitt Romney to lay out their respective plans on stemming gun violence after 12 people were shot at a movie theater outside Denver on July 20.

His remarks Monday came one day after a gunman killed six people at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin.

“Just two weeks after the tragedy in Aurora, Colorado, we’ve seen another mass shooting,” Bloomberg, an independent, said on the steps of a Sikh community center in Queens. “One in which it appears there were some warning signs in the shooter. And still the two presidential candidates have not given the American public a plan to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people. Every day 34 Americans are murdered with guns. The fact that criminals, terrorists and other mentally ill people have access to guns is a national crisis.”

Even Democrats, moderate Democrats, would turn their backs on the Dem Party if such were to become a serious issue and the Dems demanded action.

As evil as I believe Pelosi and Obama to BOTH be, as far to the LEFT as they both are, and as anti-guns and Second Amendment as ALL gun owners know them to be, you have to say this; they are NOT stupid.

This is a national election year and gun control issues, those being PRO gun control, spell death for ANY politician naïve enough to wade into that morass.

Speaking aboard Air Force One on July 22 as the president flew to meet with families of those killed in the Colorado shooting, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Obama did not have plans to push for new laws in light of the massacre. Carney made similar remarks Monday at the White House press briefing.

Romney, in an interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan on July 26, said he did not “support new gun laws in our country,”

I have seen statistics that state there are about 80 million gun owners in America with a combined total of 258 million guns - 2 people go crazy, or stupid, and commit mass murder with a gun. 2 people … out of an estimated 80 MILLION gun owners, folks, that comes out to 0.000000025% of ALL American gun owners. I would hardly call this a national trend.

Maybe Obama, Bloomberg and Company think all of us *good Ol’ boy* gun owners can’t use a calculator.

As stated above; no politician will take on gun control PRIOR to an election. What happens immediately following the upcoming election may be another matter altogether, especially if Barack Hussein Obama were to be re-elected. I don’t think Mitt Romney will attack the Second Amendment and gun owners. Obama? Not so much.

I am not a conspiracy theory kind of guy, I am a realist, but I am seriously starting to wonder if there is not a well orchestrated, covert attack under way with this killing in Colorado and now in Wisconsin.

I have to wonder if there’s not a plan being put into motion, one that will use whatever tactic it takes to trash the 2A and pull guns out of OUR hands, or, would illicit an Executive Order of Martial Law, done in an attempt to stall, or eliminate the election process and give ultimate power to Barack Hussein Obama.

Watch Barack Hussein Obama and Eric Holder closely, listen to their every word and watch their every move. Their actions WILL betray their words I believe, especially Obama; his mouth says one thing about guns but his intentions say something else. Call it a hunch, call it political intuition, call it an educated guess if you like, one based on the past performance of Obama and the fact that his Socialist actions betray his words about his so-called love of America.

Bloomberg spouts off now, but the only people that HE has to please are the moronic libbers of NYC that elected him to begin with. Obama has a nation to convince, and to be totally honest with you, he isn’t at all convincing!
