Obama demands quick action to raise debt limit
WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama demanded on Monday that lawmakers raise the nation’s $16.4 trillion federal debt limit quickly, warning that “Social Security benefits and veterans’ checks will be delayed” if they don’t and cautioning Republicans not to insist on cuts to government spending in exchange.

How about that? The 1st thing Obama does is start off by trying to scare Senior Citizens, military retirees and those on Social Security disability.
Isn’t that the exact same tactic Obama used the last time HIS regime, HIS economy was up against a *debt ceiling* fight and national bankruptcy?
It’s nothing more than a scare tactic my friends, you see, America is already BROKE, and there is no arguing that FACT.
Veterans benefits and Senior Citizen retirement and disability payments have long been exhausted. Social Security has been milked dry by this regime and several of its predecessors. Retirees and the disabled are getting payments from BORROWED funds; THAT is the truth.
Obama thinks he has *his bluff in* on Congress and the Senate, that too is a fact. Look at this recent *fiscal cliff* vote and look at how many on the GOP side voted WITH Obama and his *tax plan*, the tax plan that isn’t supposed to raise taxes on the average American, but it has. Many on the GOP side voted WITH Obama and his tax plan that was only supposed to affect the richest earners in America has affected at least 77% of ALL American tax payers.
Some GOP Congressmen had the COURAGE to vote against the Obama Tax Plan knowing that We, The People are facing an even more dangerous financial situation and that THIS was the battle that needed to be addressed.
Some rolled over and voted WITH the Democrats, and then denigrated their Fellows in Congress that voted AGAINST Obama and his plan, saying that those Congress members took “THE EASY WAY OUT”.
I wonder if Rep. Pete Sessions is STILL comfortable with having been one of the GOP that gave Obama the COURAGE to make this speech today. Sessions was a YES vote on the Obama *fiscal cliff tax plan*.
Let me say this; any time a GOP member votes with Obama or FOR one of his plans or programs, all they are doing is giving the bastard a mandate to keep on keeping on. He sees it as APPROVAL for HIS agenda and as a lack of COURAGE on the part of the GOP and its members.
And if Pete Sessions is too blind or too insulated to see that, Sessions may NOT be what We, The People from this part of Texas need in Congress as OUR Representative.
We face a financial collapse here in America, and we face a huge battle to preserve the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, we don’t need politicians, GOP or otherwise, that will roll over and *make nice* with a Socialist that has nothing other than the destruction of America in his heart and mind. His words say no, he is NOT anti-American, but his actions say yes, he is, and he is steering this nation into a Socialist collapse.
Lawmakers face three distinct deadlines before April 1. The debt limit must be raised to prevent a default, a series of across-the-board spending cuts is to kick in on March 1, and funding for most government programs will run out on March 27.
Obama virtually dared Republicans to let the government shut down rather than renew funding beyond March 27. “It will hurt the economy,” he said emphatically.
And again I say, when a GOP Congressman or Senator votes FOR the Obama agenda, he, Obama, feels that he has been given a mandate to run this nation in ANY way he sees fit, even if that means running America by Executive Order or Declaration of Martial Law.
You have been warned.
After hearing today’s presser, the arrogant little man is just getting started. Hang on to god and guns.
In an ideal world the GOP house members would show some moxy and flat out tell Obama he’s getting nothing for the next four years. Then agencies like the EPA, BATFE, Dept of Ed, Dept of Energy, HUD and the like would be systemactically defunded. Time to make Obama blink.
Fully agreed, defund all the Federal *nannies* and who knows how many BILLIONS would be saved…

I received my first “MIDDLE CLASS” paycheck of the year on Friday. It took 4 hours of overtime (1.5) to make the same amount as I would have made working straight time only last year.
How does that work if I’m supposed to fall under the “protected middle class” of the Democrat Party?
And to top it off, we were all under the impression that though we didn’t completely exterminate them, forcing them into extinction, we had relieved ourselves of the majority of the dreaded species called RINOs.

Join the club. I already lost $200 per paycheck with the discontinuance of the Bush Tax Cuts in re SSI. So, right off the bat, that’s a MINIMUM of $400 a month.
That’s — just this month, just initially — a minimum of $5,800 PER YEAR for ME.

I am of the opinion that Barack Obama is going to continue his arrogance until someone slaps him down and puts him in his place. Sooner than later, I wish he could be made to understand that just because he won the election doesn’t give him the right or the authority to dictate the government be ran on his terms. If there is anything I dislike more than a bully, I haven’t found it, and that’s exactly what Obama is starting to sound like.

I too have taken a look at my new paycheck and it sux. I wonder, has any of the welfare rats and those on SS seen a decrease or any other form of govt income seen a drop in their monthly pay? I hope so, as I think they should feel the same pain as every middle class worker. My brother in law and my mother in law are both on disability and medicaid (even though they can damn well work). They also voted for obama as they thought Romney would take away or reduce their monthly stipend. Well, we all need to share the pain equally. They should have skin in the game. I hope all of our added income taxes were not for the purpose of maintaining their level of comfort and adding free healthcare to boot.
For the first time, I am GENUINELY worried about what is going to happen next. Everything that used to seem like fiction is starting to sound like the actual future.
Most people today, except for the real old timers, believe that all of us here in America is immune to history. To them, the Civil War, the great depression and WWII are stories in the history books. They think that distatorships are something that only happens in other countries. None of them think it could happen here or happen in modern times. Well, history tells us that even America is not immune to calamity.
So, let the govt shut down. As for thoses on legitimate SS and other aid, they will have to rely on friends and family for a while. For those welfare scam artists, screw em. Let those that put obama in power realize that obama can NOT save them. Yes, innocents will be harmed, but no one will end up dead. If we allow obama to continue, unopposed and thinking he can do anything he likes and write any amount on the govt bank account he wants, civil war will occur again. Then a few missed monthly support checks will be the least of everyone’s problems.
Or, maybe I’m just a conspiracy theory nutjob. I used to not think like I do, but from how I see things, I don’t feel our country is headed in the direction our Founding Fathers had hoped. I hope I am wrong. I really do. I would rather live with the label of nutjob then what may really happen.
