As al-Qaida grows, leaders remain a global threat

WASHINGTON (AP) - Far from being on the brink of collapse, al-Qaida’s core leadership remains a potent threat - and one that experts say has encouraged the terror network’s spread into more countries today than it was operating in immediately after 9/11.

President Barack Obama, who ordered the May 2011 raid that killed Osama bin Laden, has described al-Qaida’s headquarters as “a shadow of its former self” and his spokesman Jay Carney has called it “severely diminished” and “decimated.” The bravado, however, didn’t match the Obama administration’s action this week.

Nineteen U.S. diplomatic outposts stretching across the Eastern Hemisphere remain closed, and nonessential personnel have been evacuated from the U.S. Embassy in Yemen after intelligence officials said they had intercepted a recent message from al-Qaida’s top leader about plans for a major terror attack.

The new communique came from bin Laden’s replacement, Ayman al-Zawahri, who as early as December 2001 announced plans to decentralize the network and scatter its affiliates across the globe as a way of ensuring its survival. SOURCE

I am pretty much convinced that any thinking person is already convinced that Barack Hussein Obama is a liar, a despot, a Muslim loving traitor to America and a delusional, yet EVIL fool.

Obama has a tendency to open his mouth and doesn’t just stick his foot in, oh no, he jumps in and takes a stroll around, I mean the GRAND TOUR. I once heard it said, “That guy has diarrhea of the mouth and constipation of the brain.” In Obama’s case, I agree.

al-Qaeda is *on the run*, or, al-Qaeda is *decimated*, and all the while he KNOWS he’s lying, and folks, I don’t mean stretching the truth a little, I mean telling outright LIES! Look at the source on this story; it’s from the Associated Press for crying out loud. The AP is a Barack Hussein Obama loving, falling all over themselves Mainstream Media source, and they too are critical of Obama.

You would expect most Conservative and Right Wing sites to come out blasting Obama for his lies and deception, but for the AP to do so is almost like a breath of fresh air.

Now, major al-Qaida hubs are thriving along the Iraqi-Syrian border, in North Africa and, in the most serious risk to the U.S., in Yemen.

The regional hubs may not take direct orders from al-Zawahri, and terror experts say they rarely coordinate operations with each other or share funding and fighters. But they have promoted al-Qaida’s mission far beyond what its reach was a dozen years ago and, in turn, created an enduring legacy for its core leaders.

You would think that with all the spying ability that Obama has at his fingertips he would know that his words have rung hollow with Americans, and the world.

Barack Hussein Obama can’t blame George W. Bush for anything any longer; not the war on terror, or as the overly PC Obama regime calls it, an *overseas contingency operation*, not the stock markets or the economy, not high fuel prices, not a lack of drilling FOR U.S. oil, nothing can be blamed on anyone. Good or bad it’s ALL on Obama now.

On Wednesday, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said the U.S. has focused on al-Qaida’s affiliates, including the one based in Yemen, after targeting the terror network’s top leaders in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

“We’re not naïve about the challenges we’re facing,” Psaki said. “We do think a threat still remains.”

“We’re intensifying our effort on affiliates,” she said. “That’s part of what our focus is. And, yes, we’ve had some successes.”

The drone strikes have intensified, Yemen official: US drones kill 12 in 3 airstrikes, but let’s do a bit of simple math; 3 strikes, 12 dead Muslims, that’s 4 dead al-Qaeda bad guys per missile. If memory serves me, Hellfire missiles cost somewhere around $60,000.00 each.

Believe me, I am glad that no U.S. combat troops or Spec/Ops guys had to go into harm’s way, but that’s some expensive target shooting.

Bottom line; al-Qaeda is NOT on the run, Obama is a LIAR of immense proportions and there’s still not a damned thing being done in the House or Senate to bring this guy down to size.
