Obama Scraps ‘Global War on Terror’ for ‘Overseas Contingency Operation’
The Obama administration has ordered an end to use of the phrase “Global War on Terror,” a label adopted by the Bush administration shortly after the September 11, 2001 attacks, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday.
In a memo sent this week from the Defense Department’s office of security to Pentagon staffers, members were told, “this administration prefers to avoid using the term ‘Long War’ or ‘Global War on Terror’ [GWOT.] Please use ‘Overseas Contingency Operation.’”
A spokesman for the Office of Management and Budget, from whom the direction reportedly came, told the Post there was no guidance given from the agency and that it was merely the “opinion of a career civil servant.”
The Obama administration’s rhetoric has paralleled this idea, having used the “Global Contingency Operation” phrase for a month prior to the e-mail being sent.

OK, I am going to say it. I will likely be labeled a *Domestic Terrorist* for this, but that’s good too, as I will address a bit further in this post.
Barack Hussein Obama is the most stupid, gutless, America hating poser to EVER inhabit the Oval Office. He is totally incompetent. He is truly the ‘Teleprompter President’, he surrounds himself with the most incompetent bunch of uber-liberal tax cheats imaginable and now he’s concerned with the way it sounds to call a terrorist a terrorist!
‘Overseas Contingency Operation’?? What the hell are you talking about? Here’s a clue for you and your clueless bunch of idiots that have taken this nation to the brink of destruction, it’s call WAR, and it’s a WAR on TERROR, and your gutless political correctness is NOT going to appease the enemies of this nation.
People like Obama, and those that support him, are more concerned with TRUTH TELLERS like me and the thousands, if not MILLIONS, of other Conservative bloggers in this nation than they are with defeating our enemies and protecting our nation. They are so concerned that they have labeled us as Domestic Terrorists. Obama and Company don’t have the guts to call the enemies of this nation TERRORISTS, they don’t have the guts to call our efforts against these enemies a WAR on TERROR, but they have the audacity to call me, and people like me, Domestic Terrorists.
Along those same lines, our enemies captured on the field of battle are no longer referred to as ‘enemy combatants’, U.S. Guantanamo inmates no more enemy combatants. I guess it’s more PC to call them ‘our future allies’ than it is to actually call them what they are, American hating scumbags that need to be shot!
I don’t believe that Obama and Company have ANY desire to protect this nation. It is my express belief that all they intend to do is appease our enemies as they try to use cowardly and PC BS to work their way out of any confrontation that may present itself!
Personally, I don’t care what our enemies think of us, they are our enemies, we already know what they think. Our enemies didn’t hold us, or our military might, in very high regard. PCness will not change their opinion one way or another. Obama and Company need to remember this:

It grinds on me when Obama, shown as a young 22 year old student traveling the world with his camera, having his photo taken in this travelogue, actually travelled and passed thru all the foreign countries on an INDONESIAN PASSPORT!!!
Now how does one get an Indonesian Passport?
You have to be a citizen of that country.
I, along with many others, believe President Obama has an ulterior agenda of Socialism, therefore his actions are all going to be toward making America a socialist country. He’ll succeed, if we don’t get off our lazy butts and be active the way our founding fathers intended.

1, odds are we wont see a major attack on our soil during Obama’s reign. We didn’t see one on Clinton’s either (Major meaning on the scale of 9-11) We saw the terrorists get stronger and act with more impunity but no attacks here. Several abroad though. I believe this pattern will continue, I believe Splintered cells will gain power and strength while Obama is busy socializing America. After WE the PEOPLE get pissed off about it and re-elect a more RIGHT leaning government in 2012, THEN we will get an attack here on our soil. And the left will again say it’s OUR fault.
I say this because the Terrorists feel they got one of their own in the WH. and if they attack they will risk uniting the left and right under Obama and force his hand.
I also believe his appeasement strategy is going to have the exact same result as it did in WW2, we are going to sit back and allow the dredges of the world to get stronger and then bitch about how many men we lose trying to correct in the future…. Robert, although we didn’t see any attacks the scale of 9/11 during the Clinton years but we did see some pretty devastating attacks on our soil by Islamists. What many people don’t realize is that a US Warship and Embassy is considered Sovereign United States Soil. When they attacked the USS Cole and our Embassy’s in Africa, they were in effect directly attacking the United States. Unfortunately, Clinton was too weak to do anything about it.
“Overseas Contingency Operation.” What a f***ing obtuse moron. Terrorist cells are already in the United States. One of them had been exposed in the news the other day, operating in Hancock, NY, by the same terrorist that orchestrated the World Trade Center bombing in 1993. What this country is going to probably get is another attack before the leftards finally (maybe) realize it’s all or nothing when it comes to Islamic jihad. It would be ironic if the “Le Blanca Casa” got “contingently operated on from overseas” with the F*cktard-in-Chief in it, while he’s on the crapper and reading a teleprompter.
I hate to say it, but I have a feeling we will be attacked again before long.
Bob; I understand that and while you are right, those attacks were not on the scale of 9-11, they were merely tuners, and testers. I believe we will see OTHER nations experience those types of attacks in the near future. Our armed forces in afghanistan and Iraq give the ragheads a target in their own back yard. When they either move, or are told not to fight back is when we start seeing soft targets hit again. BUT not during the messiah’s tour. I think the ragheads are going to regroup, and let russia and china punk us.
