Jim Brossard is a REAL American Hero…

Ladies and Gentlemen, I was gone pretty much all day and when I got home I was notified of this story by my blogging buddy and good friend Bushwack over at American and Proud and as he was sending me a link, FOX News was also doing a piece on the story, Reno Vet Cuts Down Mexican Flag Illegally Flown On Top of US Flag, this link shows U.S. Veteran Jim Brossard cutting down the flags and taking possession of the U.S. flag, tossing the Mexican flag to the ground and daring the Mexican business owner to JUST TRY and take the U.S. flag away from him…

My hat is off to you Jim, and a HUGE Hoorah from Texas is coming your way…

When it is displayed from the same flagpole with another flag - of a state, community, society or Scout unit - the flag of the United States must always be at the top except that the church pennant may be flown above the flag during church services for Navy personnel when conducted by a Naval chaplain on a ship at sea.

USFlag.org: United States of America - Flag Etiquette

And by God, this man had the courage to enforce that flag code too, and if a lot MORE Americans had this kind of pride in Nation, Flag and self, this would be a better country…

Mike Gallagher interviews Jim Brossard regarding this:
Mike Gallagher » Interview: Man Uses Iraqi Freedom Army Knife to Cut Down Mexican Flag Flying Over U.S. Flag

Mike did some serious work here in the Dallas area recently concerning Farmers Branch, TX and their ILLEGAL INVADERS problem, we had lunch with Mike Gallagher recently at the Blue Star Deli, before they closed, and a finer American you will not meet…

And again let me thank Bushwack at American and Proud for letting me know about this, great job Bushy and if Mr. Gallagher gets a chance to read this, that was a great interview Mike, and you are a great guy for doing it, and it was MY pleasure to have met you…

This veteran has just fired the shot heard round the country, Now we must wait to see what the La Raza community does about it, and if things get out of hand MAYBE, this could be the start of the END of the invasion.

I’m going to quit sending you stories… You always post them better than me :-(

  2. RTaylor says:

Thanks for keeping us updated, as always. I put the story up, too, this morning. There comes a time when we have to say enough is enough and stand up for our country.

  3. Bruce says:

Interesting to see those two spic business owners didn’t have the balls to do anything about that.

Didn’t put this story on my blog because it was literally everywhere today. Interesting comments here and there - most ridiculous PC crap. And of course the ACLU chimes in that the US Code referring to flag etiquette is not “criminal law” and has no force of law behind it. One clown somewhere said he had “no idea” it was improper/illegal to fly a flag above the national Colors. If that is true - he should be ashamed of himself. I was taught respect for our colors before I was a teenager.

  4. bigdadgib says:

I’ll be looking for the backlash from the left (ACLU nitwits) on this one.

You are so right, we need more people to stand up for the USA.

  5. gunz says:

That was hard core, and he’d used that k-bar on those spics if he had too and they knew it. They fucked with not only the wrong guy but the wrong country as well and there are a bunch of vets out there like him that don’t give a shit, but only truly care about this country and the flag, passionately I might add.

  6. Bloviating Zeppelin says:

Gee, I’m going to end up depositing two words here similar in nature to the two words I deposited on Buckwack’s blog, with the second word varying a bit. But with regard to this post:

    FUCK Mexico.

  7. Bloviating Zeppelin says:

Moreover, FUCK those Mexican assholes in Reno who thought they’d get away with slamming our country like that. This is going to be a shot fired by Jim that, I believe, may finally light a fire under the fat asses of complacent Americans.

That video and the accompanying Gallagher video needs to be seen by EVERYONE nationwide. Looks like it’s time to trade by Spyderco for a big-ass Kabar or something better.

  8. Ranando says:

The flag should never be used for any advertising purpose. It should not be embroidered, printed or otherwise impressed on such articles as cushions, handkerchiefs, napkins, boxes, or anything intended to be discarded after temporary use. Advertising signs should not be attached to the staff or halyard

After reading the Etiquette link I’m ashamed to tell you that I didn’t know this. We have been putting the Flag on all shipping boxes, cartons and packaging for all our products products that are, “Made in the USA”.

We have the American Flag with, “Made in the USA” under it.

I have already sent an email to our purchasing department telling them to change that by tomorrow.

As far as the post, good for that man, he did the right thing.

  9. Sage says:

Omg!! That video was outstanding…There is a man with some Cahones.
Well done fred for posting this!!

  10. Sunni says:

What I worried about, is being in the Reno area, it is said that the man may be facing theft charges. I don’t think they will stick, but all the same it is sickening to think of what this country has come to. He didn’t hurt the flag, he didn’t hurt any people, and he righted a wrong that also happened to be breaking a law, but is still facing possible theft charges. Pardon me while I hurl.

  11. Murray says:

Yeah, I already had this up from the Reno station feed. Then I got the following response from one of the “would-be” invaders. See it here: http://www.lonestardiary.com/?p=2613 - Yes, more Americans need to do exactly what Jim did - the “silent majority” has got to start taking action!

  12. RocketmanAZ says:

    Out-fucking-standing, Mr. Brossard!!! Huzzah!
    Well done, sir!
Many, many of us here, on the front lines (central Arizona) of the unheralded invasion by the Mexicans, do roundly and gratefully applaud your courageous action!!! Your act was seen by millions of us here, and talk-radio has been abuzz with little else - with support ranging from 99.7-100% of callers.

Guess who the microscopic percentage against you are? Yeah - folks named Ramirez, Gonzalez, Hernandez, etc…It never ceases to amaze me that so very, very few Hispanics EVER speak out against the damned wetbacks.
Gotta show solidarity for the Reconquista Del Norte, I s’pose…Aztlan is still a goal of groups like La Raza (“The Race”), MALDEF and LULAC - and apparently the ACLU as well.

Well, as one other respondant said so eloquently:

  13. Patrick Sperry says:

Cross posted, and commentary added on my blog.

I am about ready to start burning Mexican flags wherever I see them, if I do… Send wellness kits to the Denver County Jail! :D

I, for one, am just sick of this sort of thing…

  14. Kate says:

I saw this a couple of days ago, and never could get the video to work. Was gonna mail it to ya, and got distracted by ‘life with jr’.

  15. CavMom says:

We need updates on this story! If for any reason charges are brought against him. I want to be amongst the first to send in funds to aid him in his legal battle.

  16. LittleOleLady says:

It makes me proud to see someone standing up for our country like this. Good for him.

I think what bothers me is the attitude of many of the people that made comments.. ‘it’s just a piece of cloth’. NOT to the Mexicans it isn’t and NOT to any American that truly understands what the flag of the United States stands for.

If it is ‘just a piece of cloth’ then why do they burn our flag shouting death to gringos.. go home yanks…. after all, using this logic, .. ‘it’s just a piece of cloth.’ Riiight.

“Their land first”.. ignorance and liberal/Mexican influenced history there.. guess they conveniently forget we PAID for that land after we whipped their butts. (Source.. the true history of the Mexican/American War… named so because THEY started it.. we just finished it.) — If we are going to jump on the bandwagon of every idiot that makes a claim against this country and believe them… then, my g-g-g-g Indian ggrandmother was QUEEN of this country… as her only female ancestor I DEMAND you all bow before ME!

And another thing, if they are truly, truly the descendants of the people that were from this country… why do they speak Spanish? Spanish, like from SPAIN. You know, the country that took over the lands that are now Mexico. The Spaniards that slaughtered and made slaves of the natives of South America.. these people are no more descended from the people that were the ancient ‘tribes’ (for lack of a better word) of North America than I am.

“Inbred rednecks”.. And the royal families of most countries aren’t inbred? Like having something like that happen makes us less than human? Maybe being ‘inbred rednecks’ at heart is what it truly takes to make people understand what this country, her flag and soldiers are supposed to be and stand for. Seems these people like to name call rather than try and come up with any substitutive arguments, which is only typical of their mentality.

I’ll gladly wear the moniker ‘inbred redneck’ over ‘idiot leftist liberal’ any day. (And they can add ‘conservative’ to ‘inbred redneck’ if they wish.)

Rant not quite over, but it’s time for me to go teach a couple of our up and coming Americans.. at HOMESCHOOL. (Can you believe that homeschool is still coming up as a misspelling? But that is another rant.. for another day.)

  17. ARRA Editor says:

It is time for this Mexican bar to receive daily I.C.E. visits. Maybe that would cool down their belligerent attitude.

  18. Jorge Santana says:

I am sick and tired of this blatant display of disrespect by an immigrant or immigrant descendant that takes for granted what he became due to the opportunities of our beautiful country. The average american has been reminded by my COMRADE IN ARMS Jim Brossard that it is our duty and obligation to respect the law and also to enforce it. I seriously doubt that talking to the manager would have solved anything since he stood there with nothing to say and eventually left with no comments.

Jim, I am with you. Jim, Estoy contigo…

  19. chetchet says:

I’m with you Jorge Santana. Even if Jim would have tried to talk to the owner or manager of the store, he wouldnt have understood Jim because we speak english in America. As far as interperting your comment in spanish, let em learn english to figure out what you are saying. Thanks for your service to our country. Long live the english language, the American flag, Jim, Jorge and the likes.
