Debra Medina is a 9-11 Truther

Debra Medina is a 9-11 Truther

This is not just MY opinion, Medina was on the Glenn Beck radio program this morning and she committed political suicide in MY opinion. As Glenn said, “The fastest way back to 4%“. If you don’t know, 4% is where Medina was polling before her modest showing in the Texas GOP Debates. She quite likely will see that 4% again soon.

And it’s NOT just me that feels this way about Medina. Do you want to hear what a few other Texas Conservatives think about her?

First there’s this from Houston blogger TexasSparkle:

I just heard Debra Medina on the Glenn Beck radio show, and she really messed up badly. Glenn Beck said that people had accused her of being a 9-11 truther. Beck asked her straight up if she thought the government was in any way involved in 9-11 and the towers coming down.

She would not deny it. I expected her to say, “absolutely not. It’s absurd.” But she didn’t. She said that she didn’t have enough information and that there was a lot of things we don’t know.

Oh my. This is bad. I did have a great deal of respect for her. But she just lost me. SOURCE

Here is the take on Medina from another fine Texas Conservative.

At the beginning of the Medina for Governor movement, I was honestly looking at her and her ideas because people were talking about how real conservative she was. At first, it was just an interesting read…but as I looked behind the curtain, it was less interesting and much more scary.

In 2006, Hillary Clinton was a lock to be the Democratic Nominee and so no one took Barack Obama seriously – which means he was never vetted by the media. In fact, when you watch the movie Media Malpractice – you see a member of the main stream media admitting to this. We now have a very similar situation with Debra Medina – and her associations are just as dark as Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers were with Obama.

Early on in the Medina Movement, the followers would bring up the topic “Rick Perry is part of the Bilderberg Group and is working for a new world order” topic with Perry supporters in hopes of getting them to switch. Now this obviously would open up anyones eyes and require them to do some research…because this is certainly not part of the mainstream. One of the leaders in this “Bilderberg” conspiracy theories is Alex Jones. Calling Jones a “radio host” by the followers is a stretch when you consider he has virtually no audience. His real audience, though, are those who believe in his nutty conspiracy theories – a main one being that 9/11 was an inside job of both George W. Bush and the Government. SOURCE

Read the full post from Texas Conservative’s Blog and see the YouTube videos offered up that connect Medina to Ron Paul and opine that Medina is a *disciple* OF Ron Paul.

That is ALL it took for me. I wasn’t too damned impressed with Medina to begin with, after today, she is TOAST!

Holy smokes! I was actually very interested in her until I heard this. She definitely talks a great conservative talk - but - she needs more evidence? There is no doubt is a Truther. You’re right - she committed political suicide today and she will probably be below 4% actually.

Fred, she just blew my vote, wasnt so sure in the first place.

  3. Gawfer says:

Not sure who she is or what position she’s running for, but in any leadership capacity, she would be certainly problematic. Her talent for run-on sentences makes for great filibustering, but annoying at best to listen to. And you say California has loons running, LOL!

  4. TexasFred says:

She’s a Libertarian running as a GOP candidate, for Texas Governor…

    And we have moonbats too… She’s a Ron Paultard…

That’s right Sarah Palin, you DQ Media Whore, I said TARD!!! 😈

  5. mrchuck says:

MY GOD! I listened to this and this woman just ignited the “explosive vest” that she was wearing!!!

    TOAST! TOAST!

I will watch and listen for FOX news to bring this out, and for everybody in Texas to hear this!

She has deceived a lot of real Conservatives with her recent campaigning, and now she will pay, pay, pay!!!

Medina has revealed herself as a basic wack job. So long its been good to know you….or not.

  7. TexasFred says:

Republican gubernatorial candidate Debra Medina just released a statement saying that she has never “believed that our government was involved” with the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center.

Her comments follow her radio interview with Glenn Beck, in which she said she didn’t have a position on whether the government was involved.

“I have never been involved with the 9-11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11,” Medina’s statement says. “I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way. No one can deny that the events on 9-11 were a tragedy for all Americans and especially those families who lost loved ones.”

Medina said she was surprised by Beck’s question because the topic isn’t relevant to the governor’s race.

“I think the fact that people are even asking questions on this level gets to the incredible distrust career politicians have fostered by so clearly taking their direction from special interests instead of the people,” Medina said. “It is absolutely the right and duty of a free people to question their government.”

But the damage to her campaign may be done. In the interview, Beck told Medina that because of e-mails he’d received from listeners, he wanted to ask her whether the U.S. government was involved in the attacks.

“I don’t have all of the evidence there Glenn so I’m not in a place, I have not been out publicly questioning that,” Medina said. “I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard, there are some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there, so I have not taken a position on that.”

Medina: I have never believed our government was involved in 9/11 attacks

Too little and too late there sweetheart!

Your long, disjointed rant, your inability to give a straight answer and your dumb as shit statement saying, “I have not taken a position on that.” just KILLED your run at the Texas statehouse…

Everyone has an opinion on 9-11 and this bullshit TRUTHERS stuff, if YOU don’t have a “position” on that, you don’t have a clue, and WE, the voters of Texas, thank you for letting us know what kind of a Ron Paul RETARD you are… 😛

  8. James Shott says:

Her answer to Beck’s question had shades of Palin’s answer to the question about what she reads.

    Can you say “death knell?”

  9. sdkar says:

Typical politician. The kind of politician we have too many of and do not want. Non-answer answers, and platitudes…I have had enough.

  10. Ron Russell says:

I know little of Debra Medina, but I am aware that most 9/11 truthers seem to come from the far fringes with most coming from the left. A retraction after the fact has never washed with me. Often the first words out of ones mouth reflects their true feelings and only after realizing that the foot-in-mouth as caused problems do they seek to clearify and revise. I have never liked those that practive the modern art of meaculp’s. I’m sure voters in Texas don’t like this BS either.

  11. mrchuck says:

Ron Paul, yes, we all know him,,, was a 9/11 “truther” who truly believed our Govt was the instigator of this horrendous terror attack from ARABS.
    YES, Saudi Arabia.
Well, Debra Medina was Ron Paul’s campaign manager.
    YES SHE WAS.
    I knew that.
BUT I thought she had her own views, and not just mouthing off Ron Paul’s beliefs.
    Boy was I wrong!
    Now this hurts!
I had “hoped” she would be a fresh air TEXAS conservative, but now we all know she is not.
So, what do I do,,,? I THROW HER INTO THE CRAFTSMAN LIMB and LEAF SHREDDER I keep on my acreage here!!!!!
    Yep,,,,,next candidate????
Come on, move the line up,,,keep in line you candidates for Texas Governor.
Kinda like the TV show “American Idol” trying to find a TEXAS conservative gubernatorial candidate.
    NEXT,,,,,,,,,,,

  12. Right Truth says:

I have not been following her campaign, but if she is a truther the US doesn’t need her. Weed them out before they get comfortably rooted in office.

  13. Robert says:

Well Fred, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…Texas has at least got a choice…

Medina, and Kay appear to be the WRONG choice, but it’s a choice just the same. How in the world can anyone with even a little bit of common sense claim that the US government had something to do with 9-11? Yes, I’ll agree that our foreign policy has pissed off some folks, but that is the extent of our involvement. Some of the truthers actually believe Bush/Cheney actually planned and executed the attack so they could go to war with Iraq… Think about that for a sec… GWB and his administration put together a plan, kept it secret and executed it to perfection, even though for 8 freakin years they couldn’t keep ANYTHING out of the NYT….

I think if you really want entertainment Fred, watch the California Governor election….That should provide some laughs.
